A beautifully made unusual Norwegian sterling silver salt cellar. It is hallmarked 925S along with the makers mark of David Andersen. A mark used from 1888 until 1925. I would date this piece to the early 20 th century. It has been beautifully designed being in the form of a nicely detailed Viking ship complete with its original glass liner. It is in perfect condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs. The liner is free from chips cracks and repairs. It measures a touch under 3.5 inches(8.5cms) long and weighs 33 grams including the liner. A beautifully made more unusual example. Here is a beautiful Norwegian Salt cellar The maker mark is Theodor Olsens Eftf From Bergen. Norway Very striking. Made of sterling silver 925 and has the makers 22 stars It has it's original patina. Never polished. The glass insert is a perfect cobalt blue. The pieces are in the form of Viking longboats and are of stunning design and quality. All three pieces have superb boat-shaped bodies with rows of chased shields to both sides above simulated studded panels. All three pieces stand on two pairs of crossed feet. The teapot and the milk jug have superb chased dolphin fish pouring spouts and the sugar bowl has a horse head. The sugar bowl and milk jug have curving mermaid tail handles. The teapot has a magnificent dragon/ fish head curving handle with chased scales to the outside. The lid of the ... moreteapot is in the form of a hatch lid on a rectangular base and it has a royal crown above a monogram to both sides. The hallmark on this is H.H on the bottom of the bowl with a dot on either side. I suspect it is Danish but don't see the exact mark in the list. There is a mark of 830 on the handle front side close to the finial. I could not get it to picture. It weighs.6 oz(6/10) and is very special. New silver is not 830 now according to the post I read. the 2 sails are micro welded I think to the cast finial. A very distinct look. this is an excellent piece and is as shown in the picture. About 4 1/2 inches long.

A rare. Highly collectable, early 1900's antique by MARIUS HAMMER(b.1847- d. 1927) internationally renowned Silversmiths based in Bergen, Norway. This Solid Silver Open Salt Cellar takes the stylised form of a Viking Ship. A design inspired by the Norwegian Dragestil movement of that period. Hallmarked with the Maker's Mark and 830s- the old standard of Norwegian Silver. Please note that these Ship Salts come in a variety of sizes. Rams are a symbol of the Norse-Viking God Thor. Total weight for this bracelet is a massive 44 grams. The bracelet measures 6 7/8 inches inside circumference. And is roughly 1/4 inch thick in the main section, with the ram's head finials being roughly 3/4 inches long and 5/8 inch wide. The bracelet features a hinged opening, with a spring-loaded closure. The bracelet could use a good polishing to bring out a shine. It is marked with a maker's name that is partially worn, so I cannot say exactly who the maker is. It also has a product number and"900" for the ... moresilver content(just slightly less than Sterling) I wore this for a couple days, and must say that it is very impressive on your wrist, and it did not irritate my sensitive skin.
