For your consideration is a vintage(possibly from WWII) Viking silver ring. That measures 22mm on the inside diameter. The ring is in excellent condition. I do not know the actual age of this ring but it is of considerable age due to the tarnish. I do know that the rings the Germans wore from WWII had a smaller band in the back. This ring is made with three pointed spikes( worn away at the top from antiquity and somewhat rounded) that was made into the ring's bezel. It measures 19.5mm on the inside diameter. This is a vintage sterling silver ring brooch for a kilt. It is done in a Viking style with dragons on it. It is very well made by John Hart. On the back it is marked"JH" which is the makers mark for John Hart. It is also stamped"Iona" It is also hallmarked with the thistle hallmark which is the sterling mark for Edinburgh. The second hallmark is a castle which is the mark for Edinburgh Scotland. There is a date mark which is a lower case k but I couldn't find it on the date chart. It is between 1964-1970 which is when John Hart made his silver pieces. It weighs approx. 8.8 grams. It measures 1 1/2" across. It is in good condition. Please look at all photo for condition.
