VIKING age ring and dot decorated pendant large size
a super Viking age pendant made out of worked cow bone. Decorated on both sides with ring and dot designs. This was found on the banks of the River Thames in London, over the centuries the mud has stained the bone a beautiful rich golden color, the hole is taper bored and intact so you could put this on a cord and wear it today. hard to date exactly but i am estimating a date C10/11th. VIKING - gilded large pendant + bronze cross C9/10th
2 100% original Viking age pendants. I would say a date of 9/10th century, the first is a circular pendant made from bronze, the front face being decorated with a series of gilded lines in a zig-zag type design. It may not show to well in the photo but the whole front face is decorated, a gentle clean may bring the gilded decoration out more clearly but i am leaving it as it is. The second pendant is a cross, made from bronze and complete with its hanging loop so you could still wear it today, again it will clean up quite a lot but i've left it as it was excavated. VIKING Thor pendant with runes and ring/dot decoration
A Viking age pendant i would estimate a date of c9/10th but it could be a few years later. These pendants were made for many centuries so it is hard to be exact on dates. The bronze disc has a ring and dot stamped pattern across the surface, there is a representation of a Thor Hammer and 3 runic letters which i believe are THOR. There are slight semi circular markings all around the circumference edge which may not show in the photos but are visible to the naked eye. There is a punched hole for a suspension loop, it is a dark green patination to the bronze, it has not been cleaned other than removing soil when it was excavated. I don't have a find site but it came with some other items from Norway a few years ago.
