stone battle axe head socket tomahawk artifact hand carved viking
I made this y'all. It's hand carved by ME. When I saw these European socket axes I realized that these are stone age viking weapons. I have reproduced this ENGLISH Axe head with shaft hole found in Flora. Western Norway. Exhibited in Bergen museum. Last pic# 8. I made it to fit an old sledge hammer handle that I left unfinished because it looks like it has been in battle. I put 1 coat of boiled linsead oil on it. Head is just tamped on the handle and I didn't use glue or wrap leather strips to hold it because it stays in place so well. You can do all that if you want to. It's more authentic like it is. If you bump it on the floor with the head in your hand it will easily come off the handle. under the head you will see the letter F to show you the front so you can retamp it from the top and you are ready for battle. The handle ... moreis 28" long and oval in shape so it will not twist as you clobber the enemy. Head is 6" long. 3.25" wide, 2.5" tall and 2 lb, 4 oz.

Large Kalevala Koru Helsinki pin with a design inspired by ancient Finnish jewelry and utensils that were discovered in archaeological finds from the Iron Age and Viking Era. This pin measures 2-1/16 inches wide x 1 3/4 inches high. It weighs 16 grams. On the back it has the Kalevala Koru KK stamp.
