I an especially pleased to list this excellent Hayward VARI-FLO XL back wash cover/control valve. This control is held down by screws only. Newer controls use a machine screw and a nut. My close up photos show both the cover and the fastening/hold down screw. This control is as close to new as any such used control could ever be. Web plate gasket and cover O ring are excellent. Its mechanical action is very. Very smooth. The all important pressure plate spring is excellent. Expect 10 to 15 years service from this excellent part. Family Seal, or Coat of Arms. At the top, is an ostrich standing on a crown. To the left and right of the helm emerge scrolling leaves and other representations that surround the central shield. Within this shield is another ostrich standing on a crown, to the other side is a double or patriarchal cross in crown. This motif is very similar to the Hungarian royal crest. This stone is set in it’s original simple thick 18kt gold setting. The piece tests as 18 carat Gold. English circa 1820. The stone has beautiful swirls and gradations. The ring is unmarked but tests as 18k or higher. The piece is in good condition with expected wear to face of ring. Slight light surface scratches to stone.
