It features a bezel which measures 14 mm by 12 mm, which tapers to a very sturdy shank which is 3 mm at the narrowest point. The shoulders are engraved with three striations on each side of the bezel; this was engraved with a design which has largely been worn away with time. It is a size 10 US(or T 1/2 UK) weighs 4.7 grams, and was a metal detecting find in Britain. A very elegant and wearable piece of antiquity, indeed. Luli Hamersztein Sterling Silver Roman Glass and Pearl Ring and Earrings
This is a gorgeous vintage Sterling Silver ring and earring set by Luli Hamersztein from Israel. The design has a wonderful light green ancient Roman Glass cabochon in the center surrounded by 4 small genuine pearls. It has a very detailed cut out sterling silver design with beadwork that is just amazing. The top of the ring is large at about 3/4” in diameter and it has a wide hammered sterling silver band. It is about a size 7. The pierced earrings are also 3/4” in diameter and have the same design as the ring with the Roman glass and genuine pearls. Please Note: Several of the pearls on one earring have been reglued badly. Massive Antique carnelian Ring. It is a size 12 and weighs 19.2 grams. it stands a whopping 1&3/16 inch tall. 3-CM or 30mm. The intaglio carved Centurian is extra fine quality. Sharp detail. Below his chin is a spear. below the spear is a very small chip. Overall wear to silver. There are no markings on the ring at all. The silver tests at least sterling and the little gold leaves test at least 14K. On each side of the ring a little hole has been bored to attach more gold decoration I would guess. Both sides are missing. The only gold are the corner leaves and one is nearly worn off. I think this ring is very early.Heavy cast and hand beaten. The smithing seems somewhat crude in comparison to the exquisite carved carnelian. Maybe just because of the methods used at the time it was created. I HAVE REMOVED THE PATINA TO REVEAL ITS ORIGINAL COLOUR AND THE RING IS STIL FULLY INTACT AND WEARABLE. THE BEZEL MEASURES 10MM IN DIAMATER AND THE RING IS APROX A SIZE'8 3/4' IN THE U.S. WHICH IS A SIZE'T' IN THE U.K. I HAVE INCLUDED A PICTURE OF THE RING BEFORE CLEANING TO SHOW ITS'PATINA'UNFORTUNATELY SOMETIMES SOME OF THE PATTERN IS LOST WHEN REMOVING THE PATINA.ESPECIALLY IF IT IS QUITE THICK.
