But the more interesting hallmark is on the outside of the band at the palm. I can't make it out, but it almost looks like a mountain and under the mountain, there are characters but I can only make out the last two that look like"85" or"B5" or"R5" It is sterling with a vermeil gold over it that has started to wear off a bit. Up for bid is an antique Crest Craft ring. I received this ring in 1969 and was told. At that time, that it had belonged to the givers grandfather-I cannot verify that. I can verify that I've had it for 44 years. I've never known the ring size. The face measures about 5/8" tall and 1/2" wide; the overall finger area 3/4" across. Crest Craft" is stamped on the inside of the band but I cannot see any information on what karat gold it is. It features a Roman/Centurian figurehead mounted on what looks like black onyx on the face and has an eagle with open wings on both sides. This is an old piece and does have some wear.
