Oval Antique Cameo - 14kt gold - Roman scene with Angels and a Horse
This is an Italian shell cameo carved in Torre Del Greco Italy ABOUT 1928 during the roaring 20's. It seems to be a beautiful Roman scene with a Horse and an Angel. It is incredible carving and was obviously carved by a master carver in Italy. The background is a light brown and is known as cassus shell and the front profile is a creamy white. It has a very good pin and safety catch to be used as a brooch. It measures app. 2 wide by 1 1/2 inches. That is the dimension of the cameo only.
