What a handsome ring this is! This large. Victorian Mens ring is made of 10K yellow gold. The ring face is set with a rectangle, Tiger's Eye cameo of a Roman soldier. The end of his nose has unfortunately been chipped off, but he still looks amazing! Great attention to detail went into the work on this cameo. The bottom left corner is set with 3 pave white diamonds. The very bottom right corner has a chip off the top surface. There is also a visible crack in the stone along the soldiers helmet that trails off to the right of the stone. At the very edge of the stone at this crack, there is a tiny chip missing. The band measures 12 and is marked 10K with a markers marks as well, though I do not know what designer it belongs to. The total metal weight with stones is 8.1grams. Massive Antique Mens Silver +14k Gold Intaglio Carnelian Ring Roman Centurian
Massive Antique carnelian Ring. It is a size 12 and weighs 19.2 grams. it stands a whopping 1&3/16 inch tall. 3-CM or 30mm. The intaglio carved Centurian is extra fine quality. Sharp detail. Below his chin is a spear. below the spear is a very small chip. Overall wear to silver. There are no markings on the ring at all. The silver tests at least sterling and the little gold leaves test at least 14K. On each side of the ring a little hole has been bored to attach more gold decoration I would guess. Both sides are missing. The only gold are the corner leaves and one is nearly worn off. I think this ring is very early.Heavy cast and hand beaten. The smithing seems somewhat crude in comparison to the exquisite carved carnelian. Maybe just because of the methods used at the time it was created. I don't know for sure what it is but I'm guessing Carnelian but it's more opaque than translucent. It is a heavy ring weighing 14.4 grams and is a size 8.25 but can be re-sized by a jeweler. It it marked inside and has been tested. The ring is used so it does have wear and can use a cleaning and polishing.
