PRE COLUMBIAN ECUADOR POTTERY FROG FIGURE JAMACOAQUE 300 A. D. AUTHENTIC
PRE COLUMBIAN POTTERY FROG JAMACOAQUE 300 A. D. ECUADOR A very well preserved and detailed pottery frog from Ecuador that I purchased approximately 17 years ago from a reputable dealer who identified it as Jamacoaque 300 A. D. It was purchased in Rochester Hills Michigan from a Gallery It has an unusually large head with an open mouth and nostril holes. On the underside you can see the throat. This is probably a fragment as the back is rough and possibly part of larger piece as the bottom is completely flat. It measures 3 inches long and 2 1/4" at the widest part. The head is 1 1/4" across. I see no damage or missing pieces on the frog itself. I will include the lucite display stand as that is all it needs for display it is brand new.

pre columbian Stirrup vessel drunk riding ritual wTL test Doc Ceramic Pottery
Authentic pre-Columbian ceramic stirrup vessel; this vessel depicts a drunk riding a llama. As is typical with these portrayals. He is facing backwards, straddling across the bags and holding the back with the hands. The handle connected the two creatures on the head. The ceramic and his design is fine and especial work up; and had a nice dark colour. On the surface are some deposits and old aged signs. Small chips on spout(see pictures) otherwise intact. This is nice and very hard to find Chimu stirrup vessel in good condition and show you a strange ritual from the pre Columbian live. See the price inclusive the lab test. Unbeatable! Honestly dear collectors, who offers these safety of a material sample for age determination for this price? I would like to get any seller to close, but some deals but throw really big questions? PRE COLUMBIAN ECUADOR JAMACOAQUE POTTERY SHAMAN FIGURE SITTING MALE AUTHENTIC
PRE COLUMBIAN POTTERY SHAMAN MALE FIGURE JAMACOAQUE This figure is an authentic Pre Columbian figure of a seated Shaman from Ecuador attributed to the Jamacoaque culture dating from 500 A.D. 1000 A.D. I am not an expert and there are so many variations on the dates. The figure is 6 inches tall and approximately 3 inches across the shoulders and is seated on a round pedestal seat with a diameter of 1 5/8 inches. Nice detail on the head and face surrounded by a headdress missing one corner. The figure has the tongue sticking out in a grotesque expression and is wearing a necklace and an elaborate costume. There are bracelets on the wrists snd ankles. It looks like some sort of cloth apron covering the front of the figure. Color of the clay is a light tan throughout with scattered dark areas of mineral deposit. The clay also has tiny reflective ... morecrystal formations. I have darkened the first images to show detail. It will stand by itself only briefly as I have only supported it for one side photo. It will definitely need support for display as the front of the left leg is missing. You can see that the remaining back of the right foot holds the figure erect with the head bent slightly forward as only the front part of the foot is missing. Part of the fingers on the right hand are missing and the right leg with part of the apron attached has been glued on. Not too bad a job as the edges meet. Refer to the close up photos. There is a large hole in the top of the head and two round circles where something is definitely missing. No damage to the remainder of the body with a few nicks here and there on some edges to be expected. Even with this damage it is an impressive figure that will display nicely as is on a stand or possibly a candidate for professional resotration if you so desire. PRE COLUMBIAN ANIMAL HEADS ( TWO ) FRAGMENTS ECUADOR POTTERY AUTHENTIC
PRE COLUMBIAN ANIMAL HEAD FRAGMENTS ECUDAOR AUTHENTIC You are bidding on two( 2) Pre Columbian authentic animal head fragments from ancient Ecuador. The larger one in a beige color clay measures approximately 2 inches from ear to ear( if those are ears) and about 2 inches high. The clay has been spiraled around to look like ears but there is a piece in one remaining that is broken indicating something is missing. There is 1 tooth in the and you can see where 3 more have broken off. The eyes are open to the inside of the head that is hollow. he cheeks are depresed inward.I do not know what kind of animal this represents but hopefully it is not a pet as it would be a rather ugly dog. Also not everyone was an accomplished sculptor. It will mount straight up but sitting on the tabletop in the photos you can se it tilts as one side of the broken ... moreneck is high than the other. The other figure is in gray clay and is missing one ear. The other ear has a slight chip. It has a rather large intentional hole in the back of the head and of course it is broken at the neck. It is 2 1/4 inches from the ear to the nose and stands 2 3/8 inches high. The mouth is open giving it a rather pleasant expression. This could be a dog but it has a flat upturned pig like nose. Both pieces are from a priovate collection and most of the fragments were La Tolita 200 B.C. 500 A.D. and Jamacoaque 500 B.C TO 1000 A.D. but because of the subject it is difficult to put them in any one culture and I am not an expert in this type of pottery.
PRIMITIVE TRIBAL TERRA COTTA POTTERY FIGURINE ~ PRE-COLUMBIAN ~ AFRICAN
We purchased this pottery figure about 10 years ago in southern California. The seller at that time was unable to tell us anything about it including where he had originally obtained it. We can’t tell you much more ourselves. The figure is approximately 5 ¼” in height; 3 ½” in width; and 3 ¾” in depth. It is terra cotta and we have no idea who made it or when. It has two holes in the bottom rear(see photos) and at first we thought it might be a whistle. However. Upon reflection we think that at least one of the holes is a firing vent hole. The figure is a male nude wearing large earrings. A necklace and some sort of pendant that hangs over his distended belly. PRE COLUMBIAN ECUADOR POTTERY HEAD FRAGMENT POLYCHROME 4 INCHES JAMACOAQUE
PRE COLUMBIAN POTTERY FRAGMENT HEAD ECUADOR Very well detailed polychrome pottery head fragment from Ecuador from a private collection. It measures 4 inches high and is 3" wide across the top of the head. Remainder of red slip gloss paint on the headdress. It has heavy lidded eyes that project outward. Nose ring and ear adornments. The head is arched backward and the back is a high glass black brown tone. Side pieces are missing but the head is in excellent condition. The nose phtographs flattened on the end but it is not and the nose ring is very heavy looking and rounded which destorts the nose. This figure has not been cleaned so there is still dirt and debris that you can see in the photos. It is solid and can be drilled for mounting as it will not stand by itself. I believe this is Jamacoque or possibly La Tolita. Clay has glistening ... moreminute crystal formations that reflect ih the light. I am not an expert in this type of pottery so please look carefully at the photographs and feel free to ask questions.
PRE COLUMBIAN ECUADOR BIRD WHISTLE POTTERY OCARINA AUTHENTIC

The wings are folded back against the body with some minor rough edges on the front tips. Overall condition is very good with no body damage and no repairs. The two holes are perfectly round and not chipped. One on the bottom and one in the tail to blow through to make it whistle. It has a mellow sound as the holes are clear of debris. The figure is hollow. This was in a private collection with La Tolita an Jamacoaque ... morefragments but I am not an expert and cannot positively identify which culture. Age could be anywhere form 300 B.C, to 1000 A.D.

Small Pre Columbian Fertility Pottery Artifact Pit Fired Intimate Embrace
Small Estate Piece. I do not know it's history. I have shown it to a few people. Some of whom thought that it was ancient, and some thought it was a 1930-40's reproduction. It looks and feels very old to me. It is only about 1 1/4" x 1 1/4" and weighs 6.4 grams. It is like a small love potion vessel. Looks like at sometime there may have been a string tied about the top. May have been worn around the neck. What I do know for sure: This is a piece of tiny old pit fired potter. I do not clean old pieces. So there are marks on the pieces that might wash off. Please note small imperfections shown in pictures. I only accept returns on items accidently misrepresented. If you have any questions please ask before bidding. PayPal only.
Inca Treasures Pre Columbian style pottery bowl artifact Terraca Mexico art
A very unique and unusual Pre Columbian style pottery artifact with a village specific design. Different old villages in Mexico have produced design patterns unique to their villages and often the village can be identified by the pattern. This coffee bean design matches another that I purchased online from a different unrelated source and both have this design. The only two pieces like this I have seen. I researched this and it appears to be the same pattern and is old and from a village in Mexico. These patterns may endure for years. This is an antique piece and is in shape of a vessel or bowl. The pattern of this and the other Pre Columbian style both have strong color with a coffee bean motif. I am not exactly certain of the age and my estimate is it is from the mid 1850s to early 1930s. The two dishes make a nice twosome if bought together. ... moreThe other vessel is a bowl on my site. Folk art piece from Mexico. Nice piece for collector of pre Columbian pottery or folk art pottery art. Culture: Mexico CA: approx. 1950 to 1930s size 61/2 in diameter at top and 6 inches high Please view pictures and ask questions. See my other Pre Columbian pottery. Inca Treasures terracota 19 Pre Columbian pottery spindle beads artifacts art
This is a wonderful set of nineteen Pre Columbian pottery stone artifact beads strung together. Seventeen are on the tie and 2 smaller whorl beads are free from another collection giving 19 beads. They are from Western Mexico but the two conical shaped are likely Peru beads. They have great patterns. Color and deep decorations on them. Great pieces for making more ornate necklaces or just to enjoy. Spindle or whorl beads were used on spindle sticks to enhance the spinning speed of making yarn out of the alpaca wool. They may have been used decoratively for other purposes. Stones like these are still often used in the Andean mountain villages or small Mexican villages where the Indigenous people still make their own yarns. I have seen them doing this in Cotacachi. Ecuador, for example. Exceptionally nice size and detail for bead collection ... moreand a great set for the collector of Pre Columbian pottery art and necklaces. Culture: Western Mexico culture. pre-Columbian Canchero Corn Popper offering Vessel w TL Test Doc Ceramic Pottery
This form of the vessels is very popular among collectors and is very rarely offered. Some experts describe it as Corn Popper other than vessels for water and fertility rituals. The surface is white with lime and the handle is decorated with a very finely crafted warriors or priests head. He wears a high Helmet; the facial features are strongly reminiscent of the Moche ceramics. Some small and a large abrasion on the back. The grip was broken and reattached. A special and beautiful ceramics, because so far I've seen mostly Moche Popper, one can see that this form of culture is not dependent, but over long periods found their use. See the price inclusive the lab test. Unbeatable! Culture: Lambayeque. From 800AD to 1200AD Price Offers welcome! Age: 800 years old. TL tested, new Test Document 2014 inclusive! Pre-Columbian Black Chimu Bottle VESSEL Peru Pottery Vase Maize Goddess; Inca
Pre-Columbian Black Chimu Bottle VESSEL Peru Pottery Vase Maize Goddess; Inca Description. Vintage Peruvian pottery vessel. A black figural Chimu/Inca bottle with short neck and fluted rim, in the form of a three-dimensional Maize Goddess, warrior, Diety. It stands only 7-3/8" inches high(approx. 19 cm) measures 4" inches[10.16 cm] wide, and 2.5" in. 6.35 cm] deep. There is something strange about it. Which is different from anything else I've found: The base of the piece has thick white paint, which has some kind of'seal' stamped in blue ink. I cannot figure out what the seal reads! Also, hand-written is"Sp. 3" IMITACION MODERNA" and dated 23/2/56(1956) From Northern Peru. I've often wondered if someone may have painted this mark onto an actual ancient artifact. It looks very old to me. B ut ... moreI must go by what the mark says on the bottom. Weighs 12.9 oz. BEFORE packing. In excellent condition with a small rim chip. Some light rubs, and some old dust in some crevices. From a smoke-free home. I will pack with extra care. INSURANCE IS INCLUDED in shipping cost. This is a beautiful. Thick Cochle pottery dish with great colors and I believe a serpent motif coiled in the center. It has designs surrounding the rim as well. 3 Pre Columbian? Pottery S. America-Mexico, Aztec, Mayan God/Idol stone Statues
These are very nice pieces of art from Mexico or S. America. They might be pre-Columbian. I'm not an expert. But I purchased these statues from a high-end estates sale where some very nice ancient art was being sold. Must have been a collector. The middle piece(the tallest) is right under 9 inches tall. The one with the broken leg is also about the same hight. The shortest one is seven inches tall. There are some minor chips and discoloration on all pieces(see photos) But all in all, they are in great condition considering their age. They will be carefully packaged to insure no breakage. They are awesome pieces for the collector. I held on to these pieces not wanting to sell them because the were so different and unique, but they should go to someone who knows their worth and appreciate them.
