36 Sahara Neolithic relics - tools, celt, beads, and 1 paleolithic tool.
This group of 36 Sahara Neolithic relics. Plus a Paleolithic Aterian tool, is composed of diverse types of relics, which were discovered on ancient habitation sites deep in the western Sahara desert, mostly in the vicinity of northern Muaratania/Mali but also includes three trianglar Eiffel Tower points from Algeria. This group consist of several types and subtypes of projectile points from varying periods of the Neolithic era. Including ovate, stemmed, triangular, and unifacial tool forms. In all there are 22 stone projectile points and tools, 11 hard-stone beads(mostly quartz disc beads) one pottery bead(western Mauratania) one hardstone celt, and a cylindrical labret thought to be used in body piercing or lips or ears. The unifacial tool seen at the bottom middle. It is from the late Mesolithic era or early Neolithic Morocco, dating to ... moreapproximately 7,000 years Before Present. It was probably longer at one time, if broken it was does anciently as the straight end is unifirm and smooth. At the upper right you will see an Auterian tool from the Sahara. This is the earlier known type of stone tool with a stem for hafting. Probably to serve as a knife/scrapper. Tips are often worked around for scrapping(not broken, in my opinion) as is this one. This relic is a good 30,000 years old, possibly much older. This is one of the more diverse offering of ancient Sahara relics you will find in one lot. The shortest point is a triangle of 3/4th inch(20 mm) long odd-ball point. The longest tool is the unifacial tool at the bottom. It is 1 15/16th inches(47 mm) long. The celt is 1 1/8th inches(30 mm) long. Heel to bit. It has been worked down to a stubby form with a bit dulled from usage. Th ese are everyday work tools and adornments used. And lost or discarded by our Neolithic and earlier hunter-gatherer ancestors. They are all honest, authentic relics in good shape, some will exhibit minor ancient damage(as seen in he photograph) Such as dings, usually to tips, tangs, and/or barbs to stemmed points. Small dings

This distal end has a retouch at one edge and the narrow end, and fine use scars at the other sharp edges, so it was most likely used as burin. But this is NOT a burin, even if the face shown in picture 4 and 5(left part) looks like a burin edge. Fantastic Quartzite Chopper, Paleolithic Lower Acheulian approx. 600.000 BC
Fantastic Quartzite Chopper. Paleolithic Lower Acheulian approx. 600.000 BC Description Type: chopper. Paleolithic Period. Industry: Lower Palaeolithic. Lower Acheulian. Dating: archaeological research in Western Europe proved that the European continent has been conquested as early as 1.3 to 1,1 Mio years(finds of Atapuerca/ Spain) Early Pleistocene. The assignment of the oldest human finds at Atapuerca to a particular early human species as Homo erectus or Homo antecessor is still controversial. As controversially discussed is the earliest date of permanent colonization of Europe, and good dating of the high gravel terraces of southern French rivers is still lacking. So we suggest an estimated time frame of approx. 800.000 to 400.000 BP. Description: Size: length 9.2 cm, width 10,3 cm, thickness 6,7 cm, weight 790 grams, Shape. Retouch: ... morea fantastic quartzite chopper of wedge shape. With thick butt and thin straight working edge, retouched with broad and finer flaking up to the face of the chopper. What makes this tool so very special are the countless small stepped use-scars along the working edge, as well as some quite large ones on the interior side. Such well defined use-scars are rarely found on old tools, usually it is quite difficult to distinguish between man-made intentional retouch and use-scars. Left edge and butt are cortical, the right edge is broadly trimmed with at least one well defined flake scar. Raw-material: a grey quartzite pebble. The most common raw-material on the Garonne terraces. Preservation: very well: one small flat modern chip on the interior side. Of slightly different color than the old use-scars. There is still some matrix from the original site layer adhering to the surface, a wonderful proof of the tool and retouch being genuine old. Additional Information. Literature: The pebble tools found on the high gravel terraces of the Garonne. Tarn and Aveyron river are among the earliest tools found in Europe. Lit: A. 30.000Y.O: EXCITING BORER STONE AGE UPPER PALEOLITHIC AURIGNACIAN FLINT EUROPE
EUROPEAN STONE AGE ARTIFACTS BY PALATINA AUTHENTICITY GUARANTEED Description from the European Aurignacian Culture- 30000 years old. Aurignacian(ca. 40.000-28.000 years ago) is the Old Stone Age culture in Europe that came between the Mousterian and the Solutrean in the Upper Palaeolithic. The name is derived from a rock-shelter at Aurignac in the Pyrenees of France. The earliest cave paintings and figurines are attributed to the Aurignacian peoples of Western Europe about 38.000 BC. The Aurignacian culture occupied a vast geographic range. With concentrations in the High-Danube region of Germany, in Austria, in the Moravian region of Slovakia, in the Santander region of Spain. In France, Aurignacian peoples occupied small valleys in the Dordogne region and in the piedmonts of the Pyrenean mountains. The Aurignacian is distinguished from ... morepreceding cultures by several innovations in flint knapping techniques, a diversification of tool types, and significant innovations in other domains. Flint tools are now made on blades rather than flakes. The tool types are more standardized and include end-scrapers for preparing animal skins, and burins for working wood and engraving. Projectile points for hunting were made from antler, bone and ivory. Aurignacian hunters did not use spearthrowers(atatls) or the bow and arrow. No eyed needles have been found, so their clothes may have been less finely made than in more recent periods. Among the significant innovations of the Aurignacians is the development of body ornamentation, including pierced shells and teeth, carved bone pendants, bracelets, and ivory beads. Meanwhile. The sudden explosion of art, brilliantly demonstrated by the ivory figurine carvings of the High Danube region are certainly among the most significant inventions of this culture. This great artifact is 35 mms long. Material is a kind of tabular platy chert! Provenance is an old southern German collection. More details will follow the artifacts. I guarantee absolutely for the authenticity of this wonde

Which are supplemented by a recent analysis by D. de Sonneville-Bordes, used to specify the nature of three Aurignacian layers(layers 6 to 4) 6. This lower layer is poor in tools. And has a few rough Mousterian looking blades and points. Riek placed this layer in the early Aurignacian(Aurignacian-Früh) 5. the middle layer belongs to the typical Aurignacian. With points of bone with a split base, Aurignacian blades, rare keeled and muzzle scrapers and a significant number of burins, a majority of burins on truncation, a character which locates this in the Aurignacian of southwestern France. 4. the upper layer. Although it had one or two Gravettian points and an atypical pointe à cran or shouldered point, and although the split base points are not found in this layer, nevertheless belongs to the typical Aurignacian, with a normal development of nosed scrapers, but with a significant decrease in the proportion of chisels. Copied from the Internet: THE SOLUTREAN UPPER PALEOLITHIC PERIOD FRANCE. SPAIN& PORTUGAL Estimated 21.000 TO 18,000 YEARS AGO The Solutrean industrial complex appears in western Europe approximately 21.000 years ago. The Solutrean period also brings with it several new and innovative technologies. One of the most important developments during this period involves lithic technology with the production of very skillfully crafted stone tools. These events occur within the last major division of the Old World Paleolithic ... morecalled the Upper Paleolithic which dates from 40,000 to 10,000 years ago. The Neanderthals disappear during this time and the basic ideals of what we believe it is to be a modern human are established. It's a time when ghosts and spirits appear to connect with concepts of an afterlife and art in the form of paintings, engravings and three dimensional sculptures appear. The Solutrean people were skilled hunters who were well adapted to a rigorous cold environment. They lived in rock shelters. Caves and open air sites. In lithic technology, their most significant invention was the ability to manufacture thin bifaces in the form of laurel-leaves. During the Upper Solutrean phase they were producing willow leaf, single shouldered, barbed and concave base projectile points. Although the most important Solutrean site is Laugerie Haute the type site for the Solutrean complex is located at Solutre in eastern France. In 1921 R. A. S. Macalister writes, Close to the village of Solutre near Macon(Saone-et-Loire) there rises a prominent cliff, called the Rock of Solutre, in the shelter of which was established one of the most important Paleolithic stations of all Europe.
