Neolithic Hongshan Culture Jade Huge 5.5" Alien Humanoid Figure Statue Carving
Welcome to Antique_Jade_Kingdom- Welcome to Antique_Jade_Kingdom-An Online Sources for Antique Lover and Collector Worldwide! Neolithic Hongshan Nephrite Jade Huge Alien Powerful Statue Totem Carving The approximate size: 5.5"Height) 2"Width)1.75"Depth) Material: Old Jade Historical Period: late Neolithic Net Weight: 519 grams The Chinese regard carved jade objects as intrinsically valuable. And they metaphorically equate jade with human virtue due to its solidity, durability and(moral) beauty. Many countries boast a jade ware culture. But none of them can match China's long jadeware history. In China, jadeware underwent a long process of development beginning from the New Stone Age 10,000 years ago.The patterns of China's jadeware have rich connotations, revealing strong, auspicious colors. Bats and gourds were used ... moreas subjects for more than 100 patterns because the Chinese words"bat" and"gourd" sound like"good fortune" in Chinese. When a bat was carved on an ancient coin with a hole, it meant that fortune was at hand; bats coupled with birthday peaches referred to fortune and longevity; bats mixed with sika, birthday peaches and magpies were also considered good omens. These beliefs reflected the ancient Chinese people's yearning for a happy life and revealed the essence of China's traditional culture. Jade in China is varied and can be divided into two categories: hard and soft jade. Good materials provide a strong basis for jadeware carving. But the value of a jade object depends on the skills and reputation of the craftsman, date of carving, peculiar modeling and the owner's status. Certainly, different people will have various views on the value of the same jade object. It is difficult to have a unanimous standard. Bid it with confidence! Orders will be shipped within 72 hours after payment confirmation(Including weekends) We DO NOT ship to PO BOXES without a street address. No exceptions. We DO NOT ALLOW LOCAL PICK-UPS for security reasons. D

Eccentric African Neolithic Arrowpoint, 10 notches, 8 Barbs
544-2010) Eccentric African Neolithic Arrowpoint made of a dark grayish brown colored opaque flint. This point is quite scarce as it contains a total of 10 notches and 8 barbs whereas the more classic Eccentric contains 4-6 notches and 2-4 barbs. The bifacial pressure flaking is excellent resulting in a refined point having a diamond shaped stem. The patination is waxy from wind blown sand polish and desert mineral deposits. This one measures at 1 11/16" in length and is G8 in quality with a minor tip nip. Was reportedly found in the African Saharan Desert Region, x Kevin Pipes Coll.
36 common-grade Sahara Neolithic points and tools
Lot Description: This is a diverse group of 36 average. Common-grade Sahara desert found tools. This lot is composed of a diverse group of projectile point and tools forms. The lot consist of all the main types including stemmed. Triangular, ovate, and unifacial and are mostly from the southwestern Sahara(northern Mauritania/Mali) Th ese tools were used to hunt and process water fowl and other game in the now dried up lakes of the Sahara 4.000 years ago. Most of these tools are on the smaller size. The shortest tool is 1/2 inch long(12 mm) The longest tool is 2 inches(527 mm) The condition is good. There are ancient dings to some of these points and tools, as can be expected with working tools. These small tools were used and lost or discarded when they became too small to use; most are complete. See picture for details. The color in hand. ... moreIs better than the picture indicates. The natural light somehow washes out the color or maybe it's my photography skills. These relics are representative of everyday tools. Many of these tools were used until they could no longer function well because they were to small to re-sharpen at which point they were discarded others were lost in the hunt. A nice diverse sampling of Sahara tools! Background information is provided with my 2-page essay on the subject. Which will be included. Neolithic populations living near now dried lakes and rivers in what is now the Sahara desert; used these tools in the hunt for and processing of waterfowl and small game. The end of the Ice Age resulted in global climate changes which stopped the rains and forced these Neolithic(New Stone Age) peoples into new modes of existence. Either agriculture which was just beginning at the end of the Neolithic, or a nomadic animal husbandry mode of existence. The New Stone Age was a very dynamic era giving rise to agriculture, pottery, and permanent settlements, all of which were milestones in humankinds march toward'civilized' life. The Sahara Neolithic lasted from 9,000 to 4,000 BP(years Before

Neolithic Chinese Black Jade Phallic Bird Sculpture Hongshan
A really odd piece. A black jade sculpture featuring a phallic image and a bird- not sure if they're intended to appear separate or it's just a well-endowed creature. From my research, this appears to date from the Hongshan Period(roughly the Neolithic Era) Shows some natural wear, but nothing serious especially considering its age. Measures 9" long and 3" wide. 2PB-6 Hey.Like us on Facebook@ Old Weird Stuff-First of all. Thanks for looking at my items. These are compiled as a labor of love and as an attempt to get the best quality items into the most appreciative hands. For the sake of accuracy. Weight is posted to the nearest gram but occasionally, if very heavy, in ounces. Weight is always the total weight of the object and may or may not give a good idea of the scrap value as I do not guess the weight of wood. Mirrors, ... morescrews, bolts, or anything that may not be silver or gold. I do not take apart or clean anything after listing an item. It is up to the new owner to clean silver and other metals. My scale computes to the nearest gram and it has been tested and calibrated. A note to silver scrappers: There are those on Ebay who will claim that the weight of an object is less than advertised and demand a rebate after the auction has ended. This is an ongoing trend and these individuals seem to complain if silver prices go down between the day they buy and the day they receive. When one melts silver one can lose as much as 5% of the weight in the smelting process and I can not be held responsible for weight lost after melting. I do not generally melt anything that is well made as it makes little sense to me. So any potential loss should be considered before purchasing my items. All my items are measured with a standard tape measure and are rounded off to the quarter inch. I attempt to be as accurate as possible. But odd surfaces can prove difficult sometimes as I lack a pair of calipers. With over a thousand items in my store. Errors do occur, albeit infrequently. I'm not perfect, contrary

5 Large Superior Leaf Stemmed Triangle Neolithic Arrowhead Points 10
5 Large Superior Leaf Stemmed Triangle Neolithic Arrowhead Points 10 Incredible! Each lot I am offering will vary slightly. But these Neolithic arrowheads, tools, scrapers, drills and points, were all discovered in the Sahara Desert and date back to somewhere between the beginning of the New Stone Age(10,000 years ago) and 3,000 years ago. Most of them were probably made between 5,000 and 3,000 years ago. As one expert(Chase) describes the area, it is the original“melting pot” of the Earth with the African cultures from the south and the Western cultures mixing in what is now the Sahara Desert region. As the agriculture of the west was introduced to the southern tribes. It created time for the master crafting of stone tools, points and a variety of beads and pottery. These are the result of that time and raw human skill. Thanks for taking ... moreto time to look and please visit my other auctions to see some other great fossils. Artifacts, and minerals.
