8500Y.O: FANTASTIC EARLY CHISEL DANISH STONE AGE MESOLITHIC FLINT KONGEMOSE CULT
DANISH STONE AGE ARTIFACTS BY PALATINA AUTHENTICITY GUARANTEED Description"Core Chisel" Occurs wherever core axes are found. But they are much rarer. Length of this great piece is 93mms. Of wonderful patinized marble like flint with fossil includings! Core chisels play the greatest role in the Younger Maglemose Culture(8900-6400 bc) Kongemose Culture(6400-5400 bc. and the older Erteboelle- Ellerbek Culture(5400-4000 bc. During the Mesolithic period(c.9300-4000 BC) after the end of the ice age. Hunters spread across the extensive area which connected Denmark to England during the Continental period. The forest was relatively light in the beginning with bison, wild horses, elk and aurochs. In time, the forest became more dense and red deer and roe-deer became the commonest game. Settlements were often situated near the edges of lakes ... morewhich have since become bogs. In the east of Denmark, the peat in these bogs has preserved a rich variety of weapons and tools, bones from slaughtered animals and the remains of dwellings, including hut floors made of wood and bark. During the Atlantic period, 6400-4000 BC, the sea level rose so much that the northern parts of Denmark were divided into islands, and deep fiords cut into the landscape. A dense forest dominated by limetrees spread across the land. The population was found mostly near the coasts and lived on fish and shellfish, supplemented by hunting and sealing. Food scraps were piled up in kitchen middens which contained huge numbers of oyster shells. Grave finds bear witness to care and respect for the dead. Mesolithic core chisels occur in the same variations as the core axes. They are slender with a narrow edge. May have a bevelled or symmetrical edge. Specially treated edges on chisels are unknown. The distribution is the same as the corresponding axes. But they are much rarer! Provenance is an old collection. More details will follow the artifact. I guarantee absolutely for the authenticity of this chisel from the Hunter Gatherer Stone Age. Please view

The field of Sahara Neolithic Artifacts was expanded by the advent of GPS technology for meteorite hunters in the Sahara Desert. Thousands of years ago North Africa was a temperate environment similar to our own Great Plains. Countless generations of Stone-Age Man lived. Hunted, fought and died there, leaving behind their weapons and tools. Today, North Africa consists largely of the Sahara Desert, an inhospitable area almost the size of the United States. Constantly shifting sands and the ability to now safely travel off of established trade routes have expanded this fascinating field of study by making these artifacts available to scholars and collectors around the world.

On the end of the magdalenien a new periode begins. The mesolithicum in south germany ca. 10 000- 5 000 BC The Mesoltihic(Greek: mesos middle. Lithos stone) or middle stone age was a period in the development of human technology in between the paleolithic or old stone age and the neolithic or new stone age. MESOLITHIC STONE TOOL CELT AXE HEAD from Sahara
NEOVENATOR Possibly the UK's biggest killer dinosaur. It once roamed the areas of Southern England around 120 million years ago. Preying on the herds of Iguanodon and also, I would imagine, the numerous long necked sauropods that were around at this time. It is related to the T-Rex busting Carcharodontosaurus. AN ANCIENT ARTEFACT Period: Mesolithic(Middle Stone Age) Age: circa 10.000 years BC Material: Appears to be made from a silicious chert. When you think of Prehistoric human development. One is immediately drawn to the building of stone circles, such as those at Avebury and Stonehenge. Were these people as primitive as we initially thought? New studies indicate a more advanced intelligence that has still baffled the boffins. was Stonehenge a place of worship or a celestial observatory? Or both? Certainly there is evidence to point ... moreto the positions of stones reflecting the solar and lunar calendars. but was that all? We will possibly never know. Yet, we can still admire the stone technologies of these people from thousands of years ago. And here is one piece of history that can tell it's own story. Buried for 5,000 years, it is now available for all to admire. Celts or axe heads were commonly used tools by the Mesolithic People. The advancement in stone technologies during this period also saw crude broad flaked axe heads being replaced by more developed finer flaking cutting edges with chisel like edges. By doing this the it was found that the blades became more efficient when cutting wood etc. Celts were also highly prized processions and many ancient grave sites have been found buried with such artifacts. STONE TOOL DETAILS: This‘celt’ originates from the Sahara desert. Morocco. It had a finely flaked blade, designed with specific purpose in mind and made from a siliceous rock- so homogeneous and hard. Plus ideal for flaking and shaping in skilled hands. It shows some obvious ware to the cutting edge. It measures 6.5 cm long and 4.9 cm wide. A lovely little object with some real history attached t

A group of mesolithic flint artifacts. Recorded as part of a larger assembledge with Suffolk archaeology unit Collected as part of a field walking exercise in 2003 This small group of flint tools date to the British Mesolithic period so between 8.000 and 15,000 years ago. The land during this time was connected to the continent of Europe via the land bridgenow known as doggerland. The nomadic peoples of this time had a hunter gatherer culture. River valleys show a concentration of finds within the Brecklands area of East Anglia and this group were collected from the Little Ouse river valley. A beautiful blue grey patination has built up on the flints after thousands of years laying in the sandy soils. I will post worldwide. 4 Paleolithic Aterian and 6 Mesolithic Sahara Neolithic stone tools
Lot Description: This is a group of 5 good Aterian tools and Mesolithic unifacial blades found in the Sahara desert. In the region of Morocco. The 5 Aterian tools are very old, a good 30,000 years old and quite possibly up to 50,000 years before present. They are the first tools with a stem for hafting and were probably used for cutting and scrapping of hides. The tips of these points are typically worked around rather than coming to a sharpe tip necessary for a spear point. It could be that these tools started as a spear point and were later re-purposed into hafted scrappers. The rtips dp show that they were worked into the configuration rather than broken. Whatever the case they are interesting relics with thick patination and are sand polished from sitting in wind-blown deserts for many thousands of years. The unifacial Mesolithic blades ... moreare of a much later time probably about 8.000 years ago and were the main tool technology proior to the Neolithic era. The Aterian tools range from approximately 1 1/2 inches(38 mm) Up to 2 3/8th inches(62 mm) The unifacial blades range fromfrom approximately 1 9/16th inches(40 mm) Up to 2 5/8th inches(68 mm) The condition is good. There are ancient dings to a few of these, as can be expected with working tools; most are complete. See picture for details. The color in hand. Is better than the picture indicates. The natural light somehow washes out the color or maybe it's my photography skills. I need a light box! These relics are representative of everyday tools. Many of these tools were used until they could no longer function well because they were to small to re-sharpen at which point they were discarded others were lost in the hunt. Background information on the Sahara Neolithic(I am working on a paper for the earlier time periods) is provided with my 2-page essay on the subject. Which will be included. 7400Y.O: ACE KNIFE 130mms! DANISH STONE AGE MESOLITHIC FLINT ERTEBOLLE CULTURE
NORTHERN EUROPEAN STONE AGE ARTIFACTS BY PALATINA AUTHENTICITY GUARANTEED Description flint artifact is an extremely large flake knife. Belonging to the Mesolithic Ertebølle- Ellerbek Culture( Kitchen Midden Culture) from 5400-4000 bc. The length is 130 mms! Wonderful moor-patinated marble-like flint with fossil includings! One of the first large Nordic cultures was the Ertebolle culture(also known as Ertebølle or Ellerbek) This culture came into existence at the end of the Mesolithic period around 6400 BC and lasted to 4000 BC. The center of the Ertebolle culture is believed to have been Denmark but this people also lived in southern Scandinavia, Finland, northern Germany and Poland, and the Netherlands, which was roughly the same area as where later the Funnelbeaker people and the Germans lived. The Ertebolle people mainly lived ... morefrom hunting, gathering, and fishing, they used stone tools and left large piles of shells( kitchen middens) at the beaches that are still there today, the shells may have been left there as offerings to a seagod though a more plausible explanation is that they simply used such places to dump their waste. The Ertebolle culture probably also believed in an afterlife because they buried their dead in cemetaries with gravegifts, in Sweden archeologists have even found dog burials like for instance the one in Skateholm, the Ertebolle people also made woodcarvings and used canoes for fishing. Provenance is an old collection. More details will follow the artifact. I guarantee absolutely for the authenticity of this artifact from the Hunter and Gatherer Stone Age.
