The ... morehorn having some splitting on one side and crackling(like you see on an old oil painting) on the other side. The horn is stable and holds the piece solidly. Large silver pommel cap to the top of the handle. It is silver, with a hallmark to each side of the pommel. There is a brownish staining on the pommel and also on some of the scabbard. Probably old nicotine stains or something to that effect and should clean off with some TLC. The scabbard is also silver, nicely decorated with floral designs throughout, with each side of the scabbard having two hallmarks for a total of 4 on the scabbard. The knife measures 16 1/2" in total length when measured in the scabbard. The pommel cap is 3" wide. Good blade. All in all, a very nice Moroccan dagger. Please e-mail with any questions. Which is unusual. As shown in photos the blade has numerous dents on blunt edge of sword and is extremely sharp. By the looks of the blade it has been used in combat and has some oxidation. Please look at photos as I am no expert on swords and any feedback would be welcomed as I have searched the Internet thoroughly and have not found anything similar.

Old Turkish Ottoman Sword Pala Damascus Islamic Kilij not Shamshir, 19th Century
The Kilij is the traditional saber of the Ottomans. The shorter version with curved blade and‘T’ spine is known as Pala. This Pala has a blade of 27 inches long forged from laminated Damascus steel and with traces of silver inlay cartouche and decorations on one side. The wood scabbard is covered with leather and mounted with chased brass locket and chape. The classically shaped grips with bulbous pommel is made of horn. The leather is a late/later replacement. The blade is similar with the kilij blades in shape but not as wide. In very good condition with some few marks of pitting obviously was cleaned many times in the past. It has a small but important silver inlay with a Tatar Tamga- an abstract seal or stamp used by Eurasian nomadic peoples and by cultures influenced by them that could probably be researched to see which specific clan this sword was used by. The Tamga was normally the emblem of a particular tribe, clan or family. These swords are very rare and mostly seen in museums in Eastern Europe. There are plenty of markings on the blade on both sides.as well as on the spine of the blade. The sheath shows some markings and designs too. As you can see in the pictures the sheath shows some wear issues. The one side of the leather has been peeled off, exposing the wood sheath. The length of the blade is 22" and the entire knife measures 28" It is a very rudimentary with a piece of animal hide wrapped around the handle. The sheath is made of leather and wood. Very Large Decorated Dagger. Short Sword or Knife- Middle Eastern? From a wealthy Hinsdale estate comes this strange oversized knife. The sellers didn't know anything about it since it belonged to a deceased relative. And I'm no knife expert, so I don't know anything about it either. The knife appears to be of Middle Eastern. Turkish, or Islamic origin and appears to be hand-wrought. It's decorated with a repeated scrolling floral pattern on the handle, blade and scabbard. There is a belt or sash loop on the sheath. The knife measures 23-3/8" overall; the blade is 1-3/16" wide at the widest point and 15-1/4" from tip to hilt. The scabbard is 17-1/8" long. It's pointy but not overly sharp. It appears the handle is hollow metal, and all of the joinery looks to be hand-filed rather than ground. There is ... morea small amount of surface rust on the blade itself, but the scabbard and handle are very clean. The knife and scabbard weigh about 1-1/2 pounds alone. Once again. Rare and collectible ornamental antique 18-19c. mughal rajput sikh or punjabi khanda or firangi sword tulwar with steel blade and gold damascened hilt but major work is gone. The gold damascened work resembles that its from northern part of India. The blade is straight and having"CROWN" marking and"CR" alphabets. On the back side of blade it have gold inlaid islamic calligraphy. The form of hilt and blade is in original polished type condition but heavy rusty patina and hard to say it material but i assume it as plain steel. It have original scabbard.
