Early 1900's, from my Mom's estate ... moreClearly marked with the Gorham hallmarks and"Sterling" Length: just over 7" Width across tines: approx. 1 3/8" Width at end of handle: 11/16" This auction is for one antique Gorham Sterling Silver Small Cold Meat Fork in the Etruscan pattern. This is a serving fork. The smaller of two made by Gorham in this pattern. I have added a photo(3) with this fork between a dinner fork and a salad fork, to give a better idea of the size. This item is from my Mom's estate, inherited from my paternal grandmother, and has been used. The Etruscan pattern is simple and elegant, with stepped, squared-off handle end with a Greek Key pattern. There is a ridge on either side, just inside of the handle edge, the length of the tapered handle. There is dark oxidation in the recesses of the key design and the recess between the ridge and the edge of the handle, accenting the lines of the piece. The handle is gently curved. One tine is wider than the others. The compact size of this fork makes it a versatile serving piece. This is thick, sturdy, solid Sterling Silver nearly 2mm thick. It's a simple and elegant piece. CONDITION: Good to Very Good antique. Pre-owned, used, with no structural damage; not bent or misshapen. No monogram or monogram removal. There are some fine polishing marks and light scratches consistent with use, and a few very tiny dings, pinprick sized, no deep gouges. The fork has been hand polished. I leave any further polish detailing to the new owner. Please see the photos. A fine addition to a set of Gorham Etruscan flatware. Lovely on the dining table! This is a vintage 14K yellow gold natural amethyst bracelet. Done in Etruscan Revival style, with ornately detailed links with multiple prongs and rope twist borders holding each of the big amethyst gemstones. It came in with the 14k amethyst and seed pearl earrings I have listed separately-I'm sure they were worn together. AND.if you really like sets. I have a huge amethyst and seed pearl locket in my listings this week, as well. All beautiful quality! This bracelet features 8 ornate amethyst links. Joined by simple rings. The small connector rings appear to have been soldered together at the seams, so there wouldn't ... morebe any chance of losing the bracelet. The amethysts measure 10 x 8 mm, approximately 2.40 ct in size, for a total of over 19 carats of amethyst! The photos were taken late in the day in natural light, and do not do this bracelet justice-it's much prettier in person. The amethysts are natural. And all pretty well matched in color-I'm sure they were hand chosen that way. The amethysts are secured by multiple prongs in each link. With a ridged border, and rope twist in gold going around the outside of each link. It has quite a nice presence on the wrist. The bracelet closes with a tongue and box closure upon which the 14K mark appears. And it's equipped with a stationary safety chain, and a fold-over figure 8 clasp for extra security. The links measure 1/2" wide and the bracelet will fit a 6 1/2" wrist comfortably(or smaller, with extra room) It weighs 21.6 grams and is in very good vintage condition. Fine Items from ALittleUnlimited Description A beautiful antique rose cut garnet brooch in an Estruscan Revival style dating to the 1870's featuring 20 larger garnets and 31 smaller garnets designed as three flowers in a row with Etruscan style embellishments. It measures 2 3/8" long and is just over 3/4" tall. It has a replaced pin mechanism that appears to have been done in the early 20th century when many antique brooches had the old"C" style clasps changed for the"modern" safety clasps. The large garnets measure approximately 5.2 mm to 5.5 mm across. One large garnet on the end has a nick on the top of the rose. The rest show normal signs of wear and age. The nick is not readily apparent to the naked eye and is mentioned for accuracy. Vintage Deco Art Nouveau Charm Bracelet. c. 1930s. Etruscan. Probably Germany
So collectible. This outstanding and heavy c. 1930s charm bracelet is a Deco or Art Nouveau treasure with Etruscan influences. I collect vintage jewelry- Mexico sterling, Etruscan, and Deco- and the only reason I can sell this now is that my treasure-hunting has turned up a similar piece. Occasionally, one will find variations of these fabulous bracelets, but they're getting scarce, and I had not found one in a long time! First. A note about color: The most accurate representation of colors is in the photo of the bracelet on my wrist. The reddish stone(carnelian? is carnelian red and not quite a bright red as my other photos make it appear. The 2 green stones are a jade green and might actually be jade, but they look at bit more turquoise in my pix. These 7 cast fobs are each little works of art. Aren't they? Such nice craftsmanship ... moreand patina. This is probably from Germany and I'm told that it's definitely prewar. The bracelet is a classic double rolo with smooth and twisted cannetille links. I think this is silver metal or low-grade silver. The stones? I think the lapis-blue one, the yellow heart-shaped one, and the dark(almost black) blue cabochon are probably art glass, but the jade green and carnelian-color ones may be genuine gemstone. Often, genuine and art glass stones were mixed in bracelets of this type. The value, of course, is in the age and vintage style. This is in very good vintage condition with natural patina, vestiges of the original oxidized finishes, and the surface wear that one would expect. It's quite heavy for its size at 1-pound 12-ounces; measuring 4-7/8" tall by 4-1/2" at its widest point. A hard-to-find collection of 800 silver Etruscan flower fob charms gives this vintage Etruscan charm bracelet its distinctive style. Each handcrafted fob charm differs from the next one. Of course, but each features four of those iconic dimensional flowers and oversize granulation beads. I'm not a gems expert, but it looks to me as if the stones on this bracelet are probably genuine versus art glass. I think we are seeing carnelian, tiger's eye, periwinkle chalcedony, agate, and a fine piece of turquoise here. The charms hang from a marked 800 silver bracelet that has the same patina as the fobs and features two handcrafted Etruscan florets on every other link. I know. I know! Finding this classic, collectible marked Danecraft sterling silver fob charm on a marked Danecraft sterling bracelet is, well, exciting. Most of these have been separated over the decades. This classic bracelet by the famed Danecraft company features that iconic Danecraft Art Nouveau style fob charm with Peking glass cabochon on an equally recognizable Danecraft bracelet with integral charm ring. The bracelet, signed Danecraft in 2 places, measures 7 5/8" long by 5/8" wide. The fob charm, which still has its hanging Danecraft cartouche, measures appx 1 1/8" x 1 1/8" and is appx 7/8" deep from front to back. The hidden foldover clasp works fine. Art Deco Italy 800 Silver Etruscan Style Lapis Long Dangle Screwback Earrings Fabulous pair of Italian Etruscan Revival screwback earrings featuring silver granulation and small round lapis lazuli cabochons in plain bezels. Dimensions: just over 1 7/8" long. 7/8" wide. Hallmark: ITALY(in relief) 800(stamped) The Etruscan Revival peaked during the 1860s to 1870s. Though many fine examples of this type jewelry continued to be made until well after the turn of the century. In February 1934 Italy passed a law requiring that the silver purity mark be uniform in appearance, enclosed in a lozenge. Because of the lack of lozenge on these earrings, we believe them to be made prior to this time. Weight: 8.2 grams. Condition: EXCELLENT. Vintage STERLING SILVER Etruscan Fob Charm Bracelet. SF Swift and Fisher
What a find this is! This gorgeous vintage Etruscan fob charm bracelet is not only STERLING SILVER. But it's a hard-to-find original Swift and Fisher piece handcrafted in Massachusetts back in the day. Each beautifully detailed fob charm is marked"S.F. STERLING, as is the bracelet itself. S&F was particularly noted for its excellent twisted-wire cannetille work, which is evident on each charm here. Note also the iconic Etruscan florets, which appear on each fob charm and on each mariner link of the bracelet. The bracelet measures 8 1/8" x 1/2. The charms range in height from 1 3/8" tall with bale to about 1" tall with bale. As for age, I'm a bit stumped here. I have read that Swift and Fisher stopped making jewelry around WWI, so this could be pre-1920s. Pair Victorian Rolled Gold/Filled Etruscan Wedding Bracelets Ruby/Garnet Center
For your consideration is a set of lovely Victorian wedding bracelets. It is my understanding that one bracelet would be given at the engagement and the other given as a wedding gift. I do not know if they are rolled gold or gold filled. I tested them for gold and they are either less than 10K or not gold at all with the exception of rolled or filled. There are no identifiying marks. Each are hinged with safety chains. I am not sure if the little center stone is a garnet or ruby. But would lean it is a garnet. I believe the center design is called etruscan, but will let the experts decide. Approximate measurements: Inside 6-1/2" all the way around the interior. Outside measurements all the way around the exterior 7-3/4" As for condition: One of the safety clasps has the upper portion missing(see images) But it still locks securely. ... moreThe design on the center floral portion that surrounds the garnet on one bracelet appears to have fallen in(see comparison image close ups of the center) but it is not broken. There are some scratches. In my experience, a jeweler can remove those by using a professional buffer. I cleaned them as best I could, but you may wish to do more. Vintage.800 Silver European Etruscan Basket FOB/ Charm With 2 Green Cabachons. One set on bottom, Lighter one on top You are bidding on a vintage antique.800 Silver Etruscan Basket Style FOB/ or charm that has a beautiful Deep Green cabachon set on the bottom point. And a lighter green/ aqua cabachon set on the top of the basket below the handle. This round cone shaped Fob has the usual rope, and bead silver details along with the pinched stone setting at the top. This particular FOB has no damage to it although there is a fair amount of tarnish and some dirt. T he deep green and light green/ aqua cabachons are well set and firm and are stunningly beautiful when the light hits them. This basket style Etruscan FOB measures approximately 1 1/4" in length from top of the handle to the bottom stone. By 1" wide from handle end to end, ... moreand 11/16" deep(front to back) I could not find a mark on this fob, but it was on an.800 Etruscan bracelet along with several other fobs, some of which had marks(see other Etruscan charms currently listed) The photos above show you the pattern/ detail of the silver on each side and how it repeats around the fob, as well as a photo of the bottom so you can see the deep green cabachon. This charm has not been cleaned or polished, but it still has a beautiful medium vintage patina that shows its age beautifully as well as its fancy silver detail.
