The piece originates from Egypt and dates to the Third Intermediate Period which lasted from 1075– 664BC. The piece is bicolored with dark black/ brown eyes. And a light greenish-white throughout. Each of these larger sized'workshop' beads are pierced and would have been used for part of a necklace or funerary adornment. The beads came from my late Granddad's house being part of a large collection of artefacts. I called Sadigh Gallery and asked about the necklace they said it was from approximately 600 B.C. authentic and that the beads were real but that the necklace was restrung. The certificate of authenticity is on the back. The frame is in like new condition. An excellent piece for collection or for display.
