Antique Bronze Set of 4 Art Nouveau Furniture Feet/Legs
Interesting set of four bronze pieces that would act as the feet for a table(or other piece of furniture) leg. Not sure of a date of origin. But these appear to have some age on them. They're in good shape with minimal signs of wear and a nice patina. The feet measure approximately 4.5" tall, 1.75" deep, and 1.25" wide. The opening where a leg would be inserted is slightly less than an inch in diameter and there is a hole on the back for a screw to hold it in place. This is an ongoing trend and these individuals seem to complain if silver prices go down between the day they buy and the day they receive. When one melts silver one can lose as much as 5% of the weight in the smelting process and I can not be held responsible for weight lost after melting. I do not generally melt anything that is well made as it makes little sense to me. So any potential loss should be considered before purchasing my items. All my items are measured with a standard tape measure and are rounded off to the quarter inch. I attempt to be as accurate as possible. Up for sale today. I am offering an extremely unique and beautiful stained glass window. This window is wood framed. It is very large measuring 6' tall x 2'10.5" wide. The frame is a light wood. The glass is mostly a lavender purple and a light green. It gives off a very natural and earthy feeling. Some of the glass pieces are cracked or broken. The really interesting part about this window is in the center there is a beautiful boat anchor with a rope wrapped around it. There are metal rods across the back of this which helps keep its integrity. Antique Pair Leaded Beveled Glass Window Framed Crest Design Vinitage Lot of 2
This is a pair of vintage leaded glass windows. I am not sure the age or history but they have been used for a number of years. And are still in good condition as you can see in the pictures. The glass around the crest is beveled and the center piece has a texture to make it somewhat opaque and colored. I have showed both sides of the units and the various remaining paint colors that are on the frames. The one window to the left does have a crack in one pane of the glass shown up close in the very last picture. Both windows are about 26" wide 25 1/4" high and 1 3/8" deep. This is 2 gorgeous antique French ribbon still unused on their original rolls. The older ribbon is the narrow saffron that dates from the early 1900s. The roll reads Pon 936 10 metres fixes No.1. Coloris 852. The ribbon ix very fine grosgrain with a silk shiny fine border on each side. It measures just 4mm wide and has all been protected by its inner paper layers. I have not unravelled to measure but the roll is very plump and I estimate 7 metres plus. The soft blue is 1940s Extra Fort. 14mm wide and I estimate 5 0r 6 metres intact. Antique cast plate German cuckoo clock deep carved running wood bird early 1900s
Up for auction is an antique german cuckoo clock. I estimate this clock to be from the late 1800s or early 1900s. Has a cast plate movement that is unmarked. Bellow tops are new. Gong back is a salvaged piece from another antique cuckoo of this period. Gong is a heavy mantel piece. That sounds nice when clock strikes. Bird is wood carved and has moving beak and flapping wings. Clock carving and house are in good condition for the age of the clock, but stain is a bit faded. Frame has split running along left edge from age, very hard too see unless your right up close. I did not restain the carving, because i like the natural wood look. Penedulum is a new heavy piece that is unstained, matches the carving pretty well, and regulates the time well. A pair of matching 720 gram weights run the time and the strike. Clock strikes with cuckoo and ... moregong chime, once on the half hour, and at the top of the hour for the appropriate amount of hours. Dial is a bit faded as well, but looks nice, i dont know if numerals are original. Hands appear to have been replace in the past. Ive had this cuckoo running for over a month and it keeps good time and has a pleasant deep strike. Being probably 100 years old, clock might require adjustment after shipping. I will tie up chains, break down clock and pack each piece with the utmost care. I tinker with these old cuckoos as a hobby, and had this one for awhile waiting to find a crown. No luck, but cuckoo looks good as is. Pretty large cuckoo measures 14 1/2 inches tall, 11 1/4 inches wide and 6 1/2 inches from roof to the wall. Antique converted steeple clock
This is an old steeple clock that has been converted to a battery operated clock. I dont know if the motor runs. I think it does. It takes a"c" battery. The battery leaked and corrosion is deposited on one end. I think this will clean up. The door has one hinge on the top. The bottom hinge is missing. There is a piece of wood missing on the right hand side of the door near the top. see photos.Ther are some salvageable parts on the case. The dial is good and the door glass is good. This is a beautiful clock; it is in original condition and has not been tampered with at all except a replaced back cover. The case of this clock is extremely beautiful with a black onyx type Adamantine(not painted) finish with a colorful marble look in excellent very shiny condition(See pictures) It is very durable and easy to keep clean. This finish has no cracks or pieces missing after over 110 years! It was made circa 1890's. It has a signed"Seth Thomas Clock Co" 8-day time and strike movement(number 89) which chimes the half hour on a dainty sounding cup bell and counts the hour on the hour. The case is beautiful and in outstanding condition with its original finish and six marble looking columns with brass supports! Still easy to read- with aged patina. The solid brass fancy designed bezel is is also great looking. The stand measures about 8 1/2" tall. And the base is about 7 1/2" wide. The heavy little clock measures about 2 1/2" square, and it doesn't appear to ever have had a glass cover over the hands. The clock is not running, but by winding it the mainspring seems good. The mahogany base has a crack across the back and some minor dings, but it is solid.
