Details of Style& or Stones(s) This is such a fine example of the lovely art deco jewelry that was worn so many years ago. This is an exquisite handmade filigree bracelet made in Cairo. Egypt. This bracelet is an inspiration of ancient Egyptian times times and is comprised of hundreds of small filigree designs that make up the entire bracelet. When wearing this item the filigree will wrap around ones wrist nicely and hug it firmly. The clasp works wonderfully and is a hammer style which means the pin needs to come in/out in order to work it. ... moreThis type of clasp holds firmly in place. This bracelet is beyond stunning with its intricate detailed designs of swirls and silver spheres. It is hallmarked three times and this allows us to date this piece, The first is the city it was made in which is Cairo, the second being a cat which means it is 800 purity, the third is the date which is 1938-39. These hallmarks are found on the front of the bracelet. The bracelet is in wonderful condition and has a lovely glowing patina that gives it its proper age and character. There are a total of three round and oval blue Peking glass which resembles lapis lazuli with tiny gold specks scattered throughout each cabochon. Each one in excellent condition and set in a simple wrap around bezel setting. This setting keeps each one tightly in place. All stones show no signs of wear such as chips. Scratches, or cracks. Some of the cabochons show the different hues of blue in which the Peking glass was made. You are looking at a vintage EGYPTIAN CAMEL STOOL that is a great piece for decorating and a wonderful collector's item. It is embossed on the back side in the wood. MADE IN YUGOSLAVIA and it has engraving in the brass tops, with 2 pyramids, a camel, plus a small tree. Seat measures approximately 19" across and 11" wide. Entire piece is 13" tall. This is a very old leather seat with a closure that is done by a weaving with a piece of leather. The condition shows wear to the leather. But no holes or rips, only common wear to the seat. The wood frame is in excellent condition. With some paint wear. Frame has lots of accents of brass and black wood. A very nice conversational and decorative stool. Bench, seat, chair. EGYPTIAN EASTERN ANTIQUE STERLING SILVER BOWL ARABIC SCRIPT c1940
An extremely high quality Egyptian silver bowl. It is hallmarked with three symbols the first is the standard mark/ town mark(900 grade made in Alexandria) The central mark is a cat; this mark was only used up until 1946 so the piece must pre date this. There is an Arabic date letter to right which I think dates it to 1940. It has been superbly made from thick gauge silver and finely hand engraved with geometric patterns and script both inside and out. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs. It measures a touch under 3.75 inches(9.2cms) diameter by a touch under 1.75 inches(4.3cms) and weighs 79 grams. A high quality beautiful piece. Beautiful Egyptian Revival! Cool pair of antique Egyptian Revival silver plate/ gold wash cups with scarabs/ beetles on them. Large cup measures 2" tall and just over 2.5" in diameter. Smaller cup is 1.5" in both height and diameter. Both appear to be silver plate with a gold wash(that is coming off) The gold beetles look to be applied and both are very nice with Egyptian symbols on them. Hi. For sale an antique Bone blue& white art deco Egyptian type necklace. Art deco is from 1910 to 1930 made with geometric lines and bright colors. It is old. It has chips, a few little ones on the front and a bigger one on the back. The back has not been varnished it is not smooth like the front. It has been restrung and one of the pieces has been glued together. see the pictures) It needs to be restrung again it is floppy it needs to be tighter but it does hang right. This is made of bone. The pieces have all been cut and made by hand. It does not turn yellow with simichrome. When I use simichrome the blue dye comes off it is not bakelite. Antique Egyptian Revival Shelf Mantel Clock N/R
This auction is for an antique Egyptian revival style pendulum clock. It has no markings on it. So I have been unable to determine the maker; it looks like it could be European. This works, but the chime does not ring when it runs. This stands about 16 inches high and is 10 5/8 inches wide at the base, and about 5 inches front to back. The face or dial of the clock appears to be enameled metal. There are light surface paint or enamel chips neat the hole where you wind the chimes.There is a missing finial that was not present when I got the clock(see photo) There is a small horizontal piece of wood missing on the back side near the case cover. EGYPTIAN ANTIQUE STERLING SILVER CIGARETTE CASE PYRAMIDS 1939
A high quality Egyptian sterling silver cigarette case. It is hallmarked on its catch with three symbols this includes the date code P for 1939. It is also marked inside with a standard mark 925 and the word STERLING along with the makers mark FS. It has been superbly made from thick gauge silver and finely hand engraved with pyramids. A camel, a palm tree, and oasis. It has the initials WB or BW on its top right corner. It was most likely made as an early tourist piece or perhaps for troops stationed out there during WWII. It is in super condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs. The hinge is strong and sprung and works perfectly as does the catch. The inside is gilded but a little dirty as are the straps. There are faint surface marks to the reverse. An Exquisite Large Pair Of Egyptian Revival Candlesticks. This is an exquisite pair of 19thC candlesticks in the form of standing Egyptian Ladies holding urns. They have both been superbly cast with great detail in what I think is spelter but saying that under the bases it looks a bronze/brass colour& also around the edge of their faces. Please see photos. And are not an identical pair as their outfit& head dress is slightly different. I have not cleaned them& left just as they were found from a large house clearance. So are totaly fresh to the market. There is a couple of small holes to the back of one& the other one has lost a thumb. Apart from that they have age related antique wear. Measurments Height 14.75" Combined weight 2.700 grams. Antique C. 1930s Deco 18k Gold Persian Turquoise Egyptian Revival Scarab Pendant Estimated Antique Shop Value: $350.00 3.9 Grams total weight Size and Measurements: The pendant including the bale measures 1 1/16' long x 1/2' wide. Details of Style& or Stones(s) This necklace is a wonderful and excellent example of the art deco jewelry that was worn so many years ago. This pendant features stunning Persian turquoise that has aged over the years with the slight discoloration from oils when wearing and touching it. This will enhance the color hue of the turquoise allowing us an estimated age. It is also a egpytian revial piece with stunning high contrast 18k yellow gold. The bale is completely soldered together keeping it secure with the pendant. It is possible that this pendant was once part of a bracelet as it has two small holes ... morewhere a clasp would have been engaged. Or it is possible that it was meant to be a pendant and the holes were put in place so that when making the piece the item would not literately explode when the jewelery was working on it. These holes would allow heat to escape keeping it safe to work on. This is also hallmarked on the front with what we believe to be the Alexandria hallmark. What a gorgeous piece! This is a great piece that is very old and in great condition.This is not a reproduction but a true antique art deco necklace that has a very neat design. The backside of the piece is smooth and very comfortable to wear. No rough edges that would catch or scratch oneself when wearing it. Art Deco/Victorian jewelry is some of the rarest jewelry to find and some of the most sought after jewelry! You see. Most people during this early age could not afford to purchase precious metal jewelry such as this. Due to the depression or other reasons.
