Very unique wood pack saddle for a donkey or mule. I haven't seen another one like it on eBay. It must be handmade because all of the brass rivets do not line up exactly. Looks to have been re-stained at some point. And has a little bit of white paint overspray. Parts of the leather band are torn. This antique pendant was a fortuitous find in an estate cleanup. It is hallmarked on the right hand border of the front but it seems to be a pictoral hallmark that I cannot decipher. It looks to have a crown or tulip shape among the figures. It is a silver cartouche. I do not know the full silver purity as I cannot read the mark, with raised stampings of a pharaoh, a ring, a scarab beetle and a sailing ship. The black background appears to be niello. It measures 2" high x 5/8" wide x 1/4" thick at the bottom. This is an authentic piece, not a repro, likely 1920's or 30's. There is a spot of corrosion on the back in the center. Vintage Egyptian Sterling silver Isis Goddess ring made and purchased in Egypt in the 1950s. My aunt purchased it on a trip there and it was in her estate. I have seen modern copies of this ring. But they are very flimsy compared to this one. This ring is heavy and substantial, size 6 1/4 and 5 grams. It can be worn both on the ring finger or as a pinkie ring. The winged goddess Isis wraps her wings around the wearer's finger for a very unusual and unique look. It has a narrower band at the back and can be sized by a jeweler or silver smith. Antique Chippendale, Roman, Egyptian style Chair w/ Character
This was donated to us here at Kiwanis by a son whose mother had this chair that has been in family as long as he could remember. It has had some work done to it. It looks like it was varnish at some time with maybe a new seat. If it had a new seat added it was a long time ago but it might be the original. I can't find a makers mark it might of been on the bottom of the chair and that piece is missing. The back piece is also broken. It was made with two thin pieces of wood and some where along the line broke. I took a pic for you to see. The side also had three curved wood rails and only two are there now on both sides. It has a beautiful painted picture on the back rest with green. Orange, yellow and red but has faded over time. The chair needs some love and restoration. We tried to do some research to find when, who and exact style ... moreof the chair but could not come up with much. Up on auction is this gorgeous set of antique/vintage Egyptian Pharaohs. The detail of the work in these is beyond words or more than a picture could ever convey. Many years ago my Grandfather worked out of Cairo and these were purchased for my mother at that time. Once my Mother received them they were set on a desk in her library where we were only allowed to look and not touch these gorgeous bookends. I remember being a very young person and staring at these for hours pretending to be studying at my Mother's desk. Up for auction is a small Dakota Egyptian Urn Apothecary Jar. The Jar stands 5 inches in height which is the smallest Jar that was made for use in the Drugstores. The only smaller jar was the 3 inch salesman size display jar. This jar is free from any chips or cracks and the glass is clear without any tinting. This is an original jar from the early 1900's and not a reproduction. It has the frosted lid and rim. The jar will start at a low starting bid without a Reserve. These Jars are getting very hard to find in this size and in this condition. The Jar will be professionally packed and shipped via Fed Ex Ground for safe shipping.
