Originally constructed in two-part mold and finished by hand in ancient times, is beautifully depicted in glorious Hellenistic style. She is shown veiled, cradling an infant in left arm, wearing long himation(gown) Which runs close to her body, the folds exquisitely rendered. Her right leg is bent at the knee. Moving forwards over her standing left. Her right foot is visible emerging from beneath her gown. One of the most spectacular figures of this type we have handled. Mother and child depictions are seldom found in Hellenistic figural art of this type.
