This item was purchased in a mixed lot several years ago and I have not seen anything else like it before or since. I believe it is stone and has enigmatic symbols carved on one side and a single drilled depression on the reverse. It measures approximately 2 1/4" in diameter& 1/4" thick. I do not know the origin of this item for sure but the lot was a Pre Columbian collection of figures and fragments made of stone and pottery from the Americas. Your guess is as good as mine as to it's use or purpose. I have made a rubbing of the disk but the first picture shows the mysterious symbols well.
