This nice. Heavy"Ole Crow" bag is made of fabric. It measures 11 inches tall and 8 inches wide. There are so many uses for these bags in decorating a prim home. A recent great idea I saw was to turn the bag inside out and sew a triange at each corner of the bottom of the bag. That will allow the bag to stand once it's weighted with either cat litter or rice or anything heavy. Then you can lightly stuff it with fiberfill and add pip berries, prim flowers, a crow on a stick or whatever else you would like. You can leave the top of the bag open or tie a piece of twine lightly around the top around whatever you've filled the bag with. It will look great either way. It makes a great prim accent. 2 Old Wood Primitive Hand Carved Farmhouse Bread Dough Rolling Pins Needfuls
This is an old pair of hand carved farmhouse rolling pins. Both of them are carved out of one piece of wood They are both in good used condition as seen in the pictures. The larger one has a golden patina and measures 19 1/2" long from handle to handle and is approximately 2 1/2" thick. The smaller rolling pin has a darker patina and measures 16 1/2" from handle to handle and is approximately 1 1/2" thick. Overall this is a nice primitive set of two solid wood rolling pins and would look great in any country primitive home. Check out my! This is a great very primitive large breadboard. Just purchased in PA on a shopping trip. The man of the shop thought it was from the 30's. It looks like plywood that its made out of? On one side it has two strips of wood going across the piece in two different places. Probably handdone. It measures 18 3/4" across and its 19 1/2" high without handle included. The handle is 3 1/2" Nice piece for you to hang if you have a collection. This one is different. Thank you for looking.

Primitive wooden box/duning Corp/Darien Connecticut Wonderful/dovetailed/handles
Another one of my finds this weekend. I look for these all the time as they make great boxes for display on a farm table or for collectibles in your kitchen. This one is dovetailed and has the handmade little handles on the ends. On the inside of this box on both ends it says Duning Corp. Darien Conn with the numbers 5-68. It has the best patina, and wormy holes. It does have a crack on one side so look at the pictures to look at that damage, but to me it adds to the piece because of the age. Its also a great size to hold lots of things, it measures 20 across, 12" wide and is 3 1/4" high measuring from the inside. Any questions please ask and thank you for looking.

Nice old wooden box/great for the farm table for display.
Well this is another old great box. Whenever I'm out looking for nice things for you I try to find out the history. There are no markings of a name on this box but this is what I'm told. It came from Massachusetts and was a tool box of some sort. You can tell by looking at the inside pictures there was something laying throughout the piece. It would look great on a farm table or just sitting in that nice country kitchen with stuff in it. It measures 18 1/2" long. 9" wide and 2" on the sides and just under 3" on the ends. Interesting old dovetail box/could of been for tools?? One board bottom.
I thought this was a interesting box. Its dovetailed and in the bottom it had this strip of a insert with these little pockets. Some type of material not wood they are made of. I think it was the same on the other side as there are remnants of that material covering most of the wood on that side. I'm thinking maybe tools or something was in it many years ago. There must of been a top as there are two hooks on the front side. The box has great patina and it measures 16 by 9 and 3" high. Any questions please ask and thank you for looking.

Gorgeous Primitive Antique Wood Pediment Turned Wall Hanging Coat Rack Hat Rack
Gorgeous Primitive Antique Wood Pediment Turned Wall Hanging Coat Rack Hat Rack This is one of my favorites this week. It's a beautiful antique. Solid wood pediment piece that has been repurposed into a wall hanging coat and hat rack. As you can see from my photps, a newer hanging wire has been added to the back, but you could clearly mount directly on the wall too by screwing holes. There are some holes by the hooks on the bottom, but you could also make your own. It does hang just fine by the wire. Love how you can see old white paint on the top of the piece- I can't tell if that's old wall paint, or from a part of the piece that was painted previously, but it's old. The piece has a stunning warm dark patina. It is in excellent solid and sturdy condition, but shows its age in rustic wear- scratches, scrapes, dings, small ... morechips, finish wear, dark spots, light spots, alligatored spots, divots, finish wear, minor cracks- nothing that compromises structure and all adding to and what you'd expect from a primitive antique beauty. It has two antique steel wire coat hooks with a hat hook in the center. The patina of the metal is dark, but I do think it may have had a gold colored finish at one point in time- it's hard to tell for sure. It weighs 4 1/2 lbs, and measures 41 1/2" long and 7 1/2" tall at the center and is 4" deep from the back to the front of the coat hooks. You're going to love it too! ANTIQUE CAST IRON BALANCE SCALE WITH. FOUR WEIGHTS AND TRAY. This balance scale. Which remains fully functional, was recently found in eastern NC It measures(without the tray) 11" wide x 4-3/4" deep x 5" tall. It features four graduated weights as follows: 2 oz. 4 oz, 8 oz, 1 lb. It also features a tin tray and a properly floating balance hinge. This very clean scale is in good condition with no damage to the cast iron. The tin tray shows some roughness and a few shallow dents. A nice early merchant's scale!

Up for sale is an Antique/Vintage 6 Mallet Croquet SET complete. It includes 6 mallets. 6 balls, 2 end posts, 7 of each shape(14 total) wickets, and 1 metal and wood stand. The colored stripes on the mallets have faded with use and age(see photo 8) but are still detectable. The balls have seen a lot of use as well. I have looked on the stand for a name but am unable to find one. The stand looks like it may have been re-painted black. It is mostly made of metal with wooden feet. Early Antique Folk Art Carved Sailor's Box w/ Eagle, Lion & Lady Liberty C. 1812
A rare& exceptional early sailor's carved box with an eagle. Lion& lady liberty, C. 1812. This early box is carved from one piece of wood& the detail is incredible. The top has an eagle; representing the United States, a lion; representing England. Lady Liberty is laying on a bench with the American shield in one hand& the American flag laying beside her. This was probably carved by a sailor during the war of 1812. The war of 1812 was a 32-month military conflict between the United States and the British Empire and their Indian allies, which resulted in no territorial change between the Empire and the US, but a resolution of many issues which remained from the American War of Independence. The war was fought in three principal theatres. Firstly, at sea, warships and privateers of both sides attacked each other's merchant ... moreships, while the British blockaded the Atlantic coast of the U.S. and mounted large-scale raids in the later stages of the war. Many sailor's were out on the water for months at a time, they needed to find things to pass the time. Some would make valentine's, scrimshaw& carvings, this is one of the best early sailor's carvings. The lion is facing towards the back of the box& is in between the eagle& lady liberty. The face on the lion is incredibly folky, the detail is absolutely amazing. This early folk art carved box is in excellent condition, with some minor loss to the eagle, otherwise in perfect condition with no repairs or other damage. This is carved completely from one piece of wood& retains the original hinges. It has the original surface with a wonderful patina. It measures 5 1/4" tall, with the carvings it is 6 1/2" tall, 6 1/4" wide& 4 7/8" deep. The carvings range from 2 1/8" to 2 1/2" in length& are from 3/4" to 1" tall. Late Victorian antique full size baby cradle with turned spindles has all the original old hardware. The front and back of the crib have rounded frames. All the spindles are present; the 3 slats that fit in the bottom and hold the mattress are missing. One of the cradle legs has a crack in it that does not interfere with the back and forth movement of the cradle. Would be sweet holding a doll collection. Towels, linens.so many uses with a sweet Victorian, primitive look. The cradle measures 35 3/4" long. 20" wide, 28" high and weighs 8 lbs. 19th C. Child's Family Record Embroidered Wool on Linen Needlework Sampler, NR
A wonderful 19th c. child's embroidered antique wool on linen sampler family record signed Emma Young& dated 1842. This early sampler is very detailed& has the record for an entire family dating as far back as 1780. This includes when some of the family members were baptized as well as some of the deaths in the family. The border is an incredible& very detailed tulip border. In the middle is Adam& Eve between a tree with a snake or serpent& angels on the top, on either side of a large crown. There are birds, dogs, a deer, a devil, baskets of flowers& stylized flower pots. The condition of this early sampler is remarkable. The colors are still very bright, obviously very cared for over the years. Antique Wrought Iron & Brass "FENDER" TRIVET For Parlor Fireplace. Adjustable!!
Up for auction is a very early trivet that hooks over a fireplace fender. Usually used in the"parlor" fireplace to heat water for tea. This hand made piece is about 12 1/2" long(iron frame) x 8" wide(brass sliding plate) x 5 1/2" tall at legs. The trivet's bent legs hook over fender(low metal guard on hearth of fireplace) The brass plate slides in or out to adjust heat exposure. It extends to 15 1/2" long. A very decorative and early piece. One side of brass plate is slightly bent. Dates early to mid 1800's. Questions are welcome. Will ship economy with tracking. Antique WEIR Stoneware Canning Crock Pottery Jar wire latch 1892 patent date
Up for bid is an old Weir canning jar crock with wire bale latch and lid. Crock measures 8" tall and the base is 4" in diameter. The lid is marked. The Weir Pat. March 1st 1892. There is some wear in the glaze and usage nicks from the latch(picture 4) There is also a couple of small chips on the inside edge of the jar and a hairline on the inside of the jar that does not go through to the outside of the jar(pictures 6& 7) The jar also has the typical glaze imperfections you find common to old pottery and crazing. Antique Wood Egg Crate w/ Original Farm Ledger! What a Find!
It’s one thing to purchase an original antique! But. When you know the story behind the antique and who actually owned it. Well, that is a very different and unique addition to any collection! The farm where this egg crate was used was in Burlington. Wisconsin. The farm was owned by my mother’s Uncle. David Gowdy. My great Uncle Dave, as we called him when we were children, was a home builder in Chicago Illinois. I guess you would have called him a gentleman farmer. As you can see by some of the pictures of his hand written ledger he was quite the book keeper. The ledger is very interesting to read. Some of the pictures are for actual egg sales along with many other items that were purchased for the farm. As for the egg crate. It is a Primitive Wood Egg Crate w/ Original Cardboard Egg Cartons. It has never been refinished! It measures 12/1/2” ... morex 12/1/2” x 8” high. Nice wood handle and is in great shape for its age. Only thing I can see wrong with this piece is a bottom piece of wood is split off. It still displays very well and would make a very unique addition to any collection! Wood Primitive Rustic: 3 Munising Bowls, 1 Great Alaskan Bowl, 1 Mortar & Pestle
Please read below for descriptions of each item. Vintage. Large Wooden Munising Bowl, 10” x 11” Oval. Rustic farmhouse-style wooden bowl by Munising, measuring approximately 10” wide by 11” wide by about 2” deep. I don’t know if it was used for chopping, butter or salad, but it’s too small to be a dough bowl. Shows signs of having been well-loved and purposeful for many years, but has no cracks or chips. It’s sturdy and intact. Shows an antique-like patina, a LOT of scratch marks, a little pitting, and some variegation of the color on the inside. I took a few similar(same angle/side) photos with the flash both on and off, to give a better idea as to color. I found this in a thrift store, so I don’t know what has been in it, and I have not cleaned it because I don’t wish to alter the patina that took so many years to acquire. It doesn’t smell ... morelike smoke(and we smoke nothing here) It just smells like wood to me, no surprise there. Munising Woodenware was in business from 1911 to 1955, so this bowl is at LEAST 57 years old, but based on comparisons to other bowls I’ve seen listed, it’s probably much older than 57. No way to tell for sure, I suppose(unless maybe if one’s an expert on these things, which I am not) I took MANY photos but this listing allows only 12. I’ll be happy to send you additional photos if you’re interested. Vintage. Medium Wooden Munising Salad Bowl, 9” x 8” Oval.
