All original as found at the most wonderful New England farm estate. Exceptionally large front brim with wired framework. Double edge ruffle with double side ties of same cotton fabric. Neck shield to protect the back neck whle working in the fields. There is a cinch ... moretie inner neckline to adjust for fit. Wonderful condition for it's age. The original wire is still whole and in bendable condition without breakage. The only flaws to note are some rust stains from wire here and there along the bonnet edge and a few worn areas.one where the wire end is and another 1 inch worn spot one of the tie ends.a few other very teeny tiny worn spots noted. At one time there was a second wire threaded in the wide brim for more stability. The sleeve pocket remains and it is easy enough to thread another wire. The wide brim is 9.5 inches back edge to front edge. Uncinched back nekline measures about 10 inches. back neck flap measures 6 inches to hemline. Around bonnet hat crown is about 17 inches. This is an exceptional antique 1800's farm bonnet with original primitive appeal. Antique wooden bucket/well pail 8.5 inches high by 11 inches width and diameter.It has a metal strap to hold the slat boards together.There had been 2 metal straps but the top one is missing adds to character of this old pail/bucket.For the age this is really a nice grain measure/pail.If you are looking for excellent condition piece then this is not for you~truly an old piece and top metal strap is missing. Primitive Farmhouse Chicken / Hen made from an Antique Quilt - Americana
Primitive Chicken This is a Primitive Chicken/ Hen that was handcrafted from an old Quilt. It is in Americana colors of Red. White and Blue. She has a Red Bow tied around her neck and has black bead eyes. The back is done in a Navy and White Vintage Fabric. She measures approximately 11" High by 14" Wide by 5" Thick. She is stuffed well and holds her shape nicely. You can place her on a shelf. In a basket, or tuck her in a cupboard. She does have a slightly faded look with a few stains from long ago. This just adds to her Primitive appeal. I purchased her in the Amish area of Pennsylvania several years ago. I have used her to decorate my kitchen for a while. Up for your consideration. We have a very nice antique primitive folk art carpenters wooden(pine) tote box. It's in fantastic used condition. It's 30" L x 20 3/4" H x 11" W. This was bought at a estate farm sale in Northern IL. The women we bought this from told us it was her grandfathers and back in the 1920's he was a carpenter and built this tote to hold his tools. I see no damage to it. Very solid. It has some staining, and old paint on it and lots of ware from use. Just the look you want. This would make a great display piece for flowers or as a display in your garden or what ever you can think of. Just a wonderful primitive tote. Raggedy Ann Doll Handcrafted Irish Lass 10-1/2" Shamrock Dress
Little Raggedy Ann doll measures only about 10-1/2 inches tall. Her body was sewn from tan-dyed muslin which was lightly stained with walnut ink. There are a few small darker patches of stain here and there but no big blotchy areas. Her facial features were stitched by hand. I cheated a bit on the eyes by punching out circles from black wool felt and stitching them on with embroidery floss. Annie's cheeks are lightly blushed and her hair is a fuzzy worsted weight yarn. The doll's legs were painted a light ivory color. Her shoes were painted black and sanded for a worn appearance. The stripes on her legs were dry-brushed with burgundy paint. This little lass wears a cotton calico print dress with green shamrocks on a white background. There's a green button stitched to the center front of the bodice and matching bows stitched to ... moreher head between the loops of her hair. She has white bloomers under her dress made from a white fabric that I've had around for-EV-er so I'm not entirely sure if the bloomers are all cotton or a cotton polyester blend. The fabrics were pre-washed and ironed but neither the dress nor the bloomers were aged or stained in any way. I kinda liked the contrast of the colorful green print with the deep red hair just the way it was. Overall. The doll has a nice handcrafted country look to her but I wouldn't say she's primitive. The doll was made a bit differently than many of the dolls we see- her head is a separate piece from the body. It's hand-stitched to her neck at the back of her head and under her chin. Many thanks to Sweet Meadows Farm for the pattern for this doll. This Irish Raggedy Ann doll was handcrafted by us here at Little Coon Creek from all new materials. No glue was used on this doll. The basket is coiled from a braided start at the center of the basket and the basket lid. From this braided starting point it is woven from the twisted sea grass. This basket also features a finely braided finish at the circumference of the lid and basket edge. The basket is small. Measuring 7" x 5" It is 2-1/2" high. There is a finely braided handle on the top of the basket. This basket is in excellent vintage condition. Antique Wooden Cranberry Barrel Cape Cod vintage old New England
LOCAL PICK UP ONLY I am putting up for sale these Antique Authentic Wooden Cranberry Barrels which were previously used as end tables. These barrels were made in the early 1900s and were originally used to hold& transport to market-100 pounds of freshly picked cranberries. More recently someone had applied 1/4 barrel labels to the tops of them for decorative purposes. The labels and the barrels are not authentic matches but the look nice together anyway& are from the same time period. The 1/4 barrel labels would have originally been applied to 1/4 barrel wooden boxes which would have held 25 pounds of cranberries. The barrels measure about 28 1/4" tall x 16" in diameter& weigh 14 pounds each. I am asking $300.00 or your best offer for the two(2) cranberry barrels. These cranberry barrels are in very good. Clean& ... moresolid condition as can be seen in the pictures. But there is not bottoms to these barrels as they are meant to be set with the labels on top. Early Antique New Hampshire SHAKER Hearth Brush Broom Turned Wooden Handle Old
Here we have a great antique primitive New Hampshire Shaker brush or broom for a hearth. As you can see from the photos this is an amazing turning becoming very thin and with a large bulbous spot in the turning. The handle alone is about 16 inches long. The wooden brush head is about 5 1/2 inches long. There is some original black paint decorating it along with the elaborate turnings. As you can see from the photos there is some damage and wear to this piece but it is still in great shape. If you look at photo 12 you can see the only"big" chip in the turned handle. Antique Country Primitive Carved Wooden Mangle Board & Roller; 19th Century old
Here's a truly primitive household tool up for bids without reserve! This is a handcrafted. 19th century mangle board in excellent, well-preserved condition. It's primary purpose was to break down freshly woven fabric into a linen-like consistancy. It was used in combination with a thick wooden rod(included) with fabric placed between it and the rippled surface of the mangle board. The rod would be moved vigorously back and forth over the fabric and the friction created by the jagged board helped to soften the fabric. Mangles like these were also used to remove wrinkles as an electric iron is used for today. Sometimes a mangle would also be utilized as a washboard for scrubbing smaller garments. We believe this piece to be circa 1860's- 1880s or so. It is just as we found it. Complete with a super, original patina with great color ... moreand wear. It certainly shows plenty of age and much of the surface has become smooth to the touch from lots of use as well as the passage of time. The back side of the mangle has wonderful, hand carved, primitive decorations that add folksy charm. It measures 28 1/2 inches long, about 4 inches wide, and about 2 1/2 inches high, including the handle. The handle itself is 8 3/8" long. Incredibly, this mangle board was carved from a single piece of wood. At some point in its history long ago, the handle apparently broke off. There's an old, rudimentary repair where the handle was reattached with a couple of nails. Solid, heavy, and rugged, both the mangle and roller are very sound. There are old worm holes in parts of the wood but this piece is not infested or dry rotted. This piece is still a bit dusty from generations of storage but as the photos show, it's a beautiful, early wooden tool. Wonderful for displaying along with spinning& weaving items or with other country antiques. We offer it to the highest bidder without a hidden reserve! Good luck!

This witch hat is made from black flannel. The top of the hat was stuffed with poly-fil and scrunched down a bit. The brim has a double layer of warm and natural batting in it. The entire hat was stiffened to hold it's shape. At the tip of the hat is a rusty tin bell attached with a rusty safety pin. There's a grungy piece of cheesecloth tied around it with some sweet annie and fall pipberries tucked in. To finish it off there's a bat attached. The bat is made from muslin. Painted a light grey and also stiffened. He has 2 black bead eyes. Overall height is about 11 1/2" and the brim is about 15" in diameter. I did this hat the same way as the life size snowman hats I have made, looks cute just laying on the floor or on a table. Your getting the set of 2 candle mats as shown. They are made from homespun fabric with a double layer of warm and natural batting. Both sides of the candle mats are the same color. The color of the homespun is a mixture of green and ecru. The veins of the leaves are stitched with ivory thread. The large one measures about 10 inches top to bottom and at the widest point it is about 10 3/4 inches wide. The smaller one is about 8 inches top to bottom and 9 1/2 inches at the widest point. PRIMITIVE SNOWMAN SITTER
This snowman is made from wool felt. He is weighted at the bottom and stuffed plump with poly-fil. He is wearing a plaid flannel scarf that has a jute bow with a rusty tin bell attached to it. His stocking cap is a green nylon sock. He has painted eyes. Blushed cheeks and a wood button nose. Down the front of him are 3 rusty tin bells attached with rusty safety pins. PRIMITIVE~RUSTY POCKET~HAPPY HOLIDAYS~DOOR GREETER
This is 12 inch long tin cone shaped pocket that I did a rusty faux finish on and sealed. Inside it is stuffed to the max with faux greenery. Red and white pips, green excelsior, and icy faux branches, and 2 chenille candy canes. On the front I have added some moss and a banner made from muslin that is stiffened and sprinkled with a little glass glitter for sparkle and it says Happy Holidays. Over all this arrangement is about 20 inches long to the top of the icy branches and the top is about 11 inches wide. Great for a door or wall this season, and just a little bit different!
