Hand Wrought Iron Door Handles This is a set of hand wrought iron door handles that I made on my coal fired forge in upper East Tennessee. These handles were made using 1/2" square stock. They have a pre-drilled hole in each end for mounting. The total length of each handle is about 12" They are completely hand made. So there is slight variation between each handle. They I will finish these with clear lacquer, or on request with a traditional beeswax finish. This is a functional set that you can use indoors or outdoors, on your shed, gate, closet, home, or barn, or on a primitive piece of furniture. These handles are entirely hand made using the same tools and techniqes used by generations of American Blacksmiths. I used a set like this on a cabinet that I made and it looks like a genuine antique! I've sold these sets for people ... moreto use on their barns. Antique solid copper bucket/pail, tinned, with handmade solid brass handle, RARE
This old bucket/pail makes for a great decorator piece as it has so much character with its worn tin coating(worn off bottom) SOLID brass hand-made handle, rolled top, and hand-riveted handle mounts. I can only guess at its age, but it is OLD. Please see the photos and take your best guess at its age. It stands 15 inches high overall. The bucket part is nine inches high and 10 inches in diameter. As in the condition description. This piece is solid and heavy at three pounds of copper and brass. I indicated that this piece is from 1900 to 1940. However. The brass handle and hand riveted brass handle stays indicate that it might be older than that. We have used it as a flower pot, umbrella stand, bottle top catcher(hung it under an old wall-mounted bottle opener) I haven't seen one like this since I bought it from an antique jumble back ... morein the 1990s- back before copper and brass became as expensive as they are today. I found it at an antique stand set up at the antique car parts market outside of Johannesburg. Even though brass/copper prices were cheap, I still paid over $70 equivalent for this item and that was about 15 years ago. It truly is a unique piece! Thank you for your interest!

Nice large size measuring 20" from end to end x 8" across x 3" tall weighing approximately 1.5 pounds Nice dry natural finish It is oblong in shape and has a knot in the center of the bowl I t has a flat bottom in the center(as shown in pictures) Hand carved from a single piece of wood. Most old wood trenchers were never quite level to begin with. Typically these bowls will lean or twist as they were often used on a daily basis and would get wet during use. Over time. This is a nice piece of Morton Salt Advertising. Picnic Basket Featuring the Morton Salt Girl on the lid. I'm not sure about the date it was manufactured. The basket is in very good condition. Someone has sat a glass on the lid. So there is a water mark. You can see this in the pic's. Hinges and handles are in good condition. The basket has no breaks and is in good condition. FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION; This is a primitive olde 48" handmade REED BROOM recently found at an old 200+ year old barn in NEW YORK STATE area some where in the Adirondack's in NEW YORK STATE. BROOM Head is:4 1/4" X 7" X 1 1/2" It is a very crude form with nails and staples holding together the reeds. There are some loose string. Rusty metal& some of the reeds missing. Up for auction is a 19th century brown glazed redware pitcher in very nice conidition. Other than some minor chips in the glazing. This pitcher is in excellent condition. This item was purchased less than 30 miles for southeastern Pennsylvania so I would assume this came from PA. However, I have no physical evidence that it did nor am I a expert on redware. Only marking is the number 2 located on the front which I believe is for the gallons.There is a few areas around the lower half where its missing the glazing. Please see the pictures for actual condition as they are part of the description. This pitcher looks much better in person than it does in the pictures.
