ITEM: Fantastic hand turned antique American Folk Art maple wood dough bowl with original apple green paint on the underside. The bowl is hand turned out of one piece of maple wood and is slightly out of round with an uneven top. Both typical of hand made dough bowls. The bowl has a turned top rim and flat foot underside so it will sit flat. It looks like the bowl was originally painted with the apple green paint when made and then, later, painted with the blue. The blue paint is old blue color and looks to be most likely from the late 1800s or very early 1900s. The blue paint has worn of in some places, leaving the original apple green to show. WHEN MADE: Early to mid 1800s SIZE: ... moreApproximately 14 3/4" x 13 3/4" x 4 1/8" tall. It has a 7/8” wide turned rim and a bottom flat foot that measures approximately 4” across CONDITION: Antique condition with some age appropriate wear and discoloration spots on the inside of the bowl. No splits. Cracks, dryness, flaking or noticeable chips. Wonderfully imperfect as a hand made American Folk Art piece. There is a very old, small hole under the rim(on the outside of the bowl only) which was probably for a hanging hook at one time. This bowl is actually in very good condition for its age. This auction is for two small primitive detachable wood handled antique irons and one wooden slightly larger handle for an antique iron. The only marking on can find on any of them is a letter"C" as seen on the larger handle. We just moved my mom into assisted living and need to sell some of the things that she had been keeping for years of my grandmothers. These were wrapped in a small bag in one of the boxes. My grandma was full blooded Norwegian. They are in very good condition for their age and there is just one crack in the turn of one of the handles. Offered is a Rare Vintage Late 1800's to Early 1900's Era Hand Crafted Splint Oak Bow Bottom Basket. It is quite a large basket measuring approx. 26 1/2" long(over two feet) by 15 3/4" wide. It is approx. 10" deep and stands 16 1/2" tall including the handle. There is some minor soiling and a few broken reeds here and there consistent with age. It is in otherwise good vintage condition. This estate basket is likely 100+ years old. The bottom edges of the basket are crafted with a slight"bow" or curvature to help in the even distribution of contents placed inside. This type basket would have had a multitude of uses in early Americana life from gathering vegetables out of the garden to carrying laundry to the wash tub then clothes line. Old Antique Rare French Cobalt Bottles primitive SET COBALT GLAZE Cognac Weave
Signed. M.P. Depose' this set of four pottery bottles, is very early. The basket has damage around the top, but still provides separation to the bottles. One has a med(1/3" chip, one has a handle missing. There are lovely pieces, one was for cognac, I found this out researching on the web. It is my thought, that each bottle was for a different type of spirits. The bottles have different letters in relief. I think one is a double D. Of course the C, the others are hard to figure out. This is a beautiful early set for decorating, house or business, or for the collector. The bottles are about 6 and 1/2" tall, and 3 1/2" at widest.

These black leather lady's shoes are VERY EARLY and difficult to find.I can't imagine many of these survived. They appear to have both hand and early machine sewing and likely date c. 1850. Give or take a decade. They are interesting in that there is no left or right shoe.the soft leather soles are the same. Each shoes measures approximately 9" long by 2 1/2" wide, give or take. They are made of fine black leather with large showy leather rosettes on the toes with pinked edges and steel buckles! These shoes are square-toed, another sign of their early construction. The leather-covered wooden heels measure approximately 1 1/2" tall. The soles are not firm.rather limp like a slipper. The inner toe area is lined in cotton muslin, and the inner heel area is lined in fine off-white kid leather.the interior seams where the ... moremuslin and kid leather meet appear to be hand-sewn. One shoe is in better condition than the other.neither are perfect, but one has more wear. This lovely antique photo album comes in dark and light shades of blue. Some browns thrown in. The lovely lady in the oval celluloid frame is dressed in fashion of the time and holds a lorgnette. The inside back cover displays the Paillard Music Box mechanism(marked) The back has the winding mechanisim for the music box and this one does play. I do not recognize the tune that is played. Condition: Very good condition for its age. This is a very rare antique prison tin mug. This 5" tall mug has the number 185 embossed in two places and the number 749 sautered on the front. Purchase at an estate sale I was told this was a prison cup though they did not know what prison. The cup is hand sautered and there is a small hole in the handle which likely was for a string to hang it. I have tried to locate something similar and have tried to trace it's origin. But could not. Antique COWAN Chicago Furniture Salesman Sample Table#391 signed- here's what looks to be an extremely rare and collectable Salesman Sample of a kitchen table made by Chicago's premier Furniture maker COWAN- has COWAN Furniture original Label underneath table also has number# 391 stamped into piece- size of table top is 12" by 12" square- table is about 15-1/4" tall which doesn't include the oak support flat wood attached to base feet. feet of table are 12" from side to side. matching the table top dimension. table looks to be either Mahogany or Chestnut but I'm not sure. just the table top portion looks to have been stripped and refinished dark but the under and post and legs all look to be original finish. Table stands on flat oak supports which probably helped the salesman move and transport this small ... moresample table. there are also wood shims the stabilized table to oak bottoms support. i never removed the oak portion form the small table legs. if you need any information please don't hesitate to ask me. please use and view all photos for item’s description& condition…You will receive the exact item you see in photos. Antique. Circa 1900 or so- Hand Carved& Painted Folk Art Adirondack Stand. Carved Large Deer or Moose, Foot& Leg stand- the hoof upon a piece of burl wood painted green. A round red& green bowl sits atop. Bowl is solid despite some surface checks/cracks. This is the real thing- Folk Art& Adirondack. 19" tall with 7 1/2" + diameter(out of round) bowl.
