It's been a long time since I've offered the primitive stitched greeting/note cards. But they're back! The design is hand stitched on tea stained muslin with a layer of warm and natural batting. It's framed in a 5x7 card made from Stampin Up brown kraft cardstock. It will come with a white envelope. Inside the card, the back of the stitchery is covered with a piece of matching cardstock. There's a white paper insert in the card for you to write your own greeting. These cards are so nice to drop a line to a friend or family member. Very Old Primitive Stone Axe Painted Wooden Handle with Notches Tommy Hawk? OLD! Sorry we cant offer alot of specific history on this item. I do know its very old. Well taken care of, and passed down more generations than i can remember. It is an original authentic primitive/antique item. It has a very aged stone painted axe head, and what we mean by signed, is the fact of the painted writings in the axe head, and there are notches, at least 6, the wooden handle with the notches is around 12.5 inches long, and also has a notched ring around the upper part of the handle under the head. The head is 4.5 inches long and a half inch thick, very aged and worn til is completely smooth to the touch. The very aged wooden handle is also is smooth, dark, and so old it has almost a rubbery feel. The painted head dipicts a Tee Pee(Indian house) and backwards ... morecresent moons on one side, and maybe Tee Pee and Mountain-like figures on the other. Thats about all the info i have, questions are welcomed.

Dirty white with green fronts and red knobs- cute! I do not think the paint is original but it has age to it. Someone thought it would look better painting the outside of the drawers so I can not tell if it is made from old crates. It has a nice detail to it including a shaped crown. At the bottom there's a small trim element below the drawers above a nicely shaped footed base. There is writing on the bottom of them- looks like- C 15 DW. OK. 5. something like that. The last number is the number of the drawer in the cabinet. It is shown in the pictures. All of the drawers slide in and out easily. There is lots of edge wear. Paint loss and chips ... moreand it's a little dirty- but I think it's a sweet piece and it looks great just the way it is! The cabinet is a cute size and measures 22.5" High x 13" Wide(at the bottom of the cabinet) x 10.5" D(incl. knobs) The little drawers are each about 8" D x 2" W x 2.25" H inside. We're not sure of the age of this cabinet. It has some chips. Cracks, scratches, edge wear and nicks as is expected for an item of this age. It's a very interesting piece and just the way we like it! antique winder for wire, string, yarn,collapsible use with spinning wheel
I have never seen such a winder in all 40 plus years of dealing in antiques. It is set up for winding very fine wire. String, yarn, or any other type of material. It has a"pinch wire" for lack of a better term that holds the yarn tight at the beginning. There is also an eye wire that guides that yarn onto the winder. This is the COOLEST little hand held winder that I have ever seen! It is made by the Chicago steel tape co. which obviously was made for winding some sort of small width steel tape? Being a spinner for well over 40 years I immediately saw it as having a far more useful purpose. Ask and questions if needed and thank you for looking at my auction.

Original Buttermilk green antique EXCELLECT spinning wheel complete --will ship
This is a very solid wheel that spins excellently with a good draw and very easy treadling and is excellent for that beginner all the way up to a very advanced spinner. The wheel is massive and spins almost perfectly true. The grooves in the wheel are deep to avoid belt spin off. The paint is that original buttermilk green that is common for Scandinavian wheels. They also came is cinnamon red. Blue, and a turquoise color. The top of the footman according to how it looks was split at one time and nicely repaired. This wheel is AWESOME in every respect. It has never been dismantled before according to how it looks and I don't think that anything has been glued together but I don't want to risk damage to it in any way so I will leave it assembled. This is an antique piece of wood from what I think came from a spinning wheel. It may have had a different use. The length is 18 inches. The widest point is a little over 4 inches. The tops of the nails look squared off. It has great grain and would make a great ornamental item for your primitive or rustic decor. I wish I knew more about it! Antique Spinning Wheel Three Legged Great Wheel and Body in Very Good Condition
Very nice spinning wheel for your buying consideration. The piece definitely has some age to it. The wheel itself is in great condition. No cracks. Split or repairs in the body or wheel that I can see. Not sure what, if any parts are missing, so you be the judge from the pics. The wheel on this one is 8" across. The spindles appear to be made of oak. I do not see a maker's mark on the wheel or the body. Even the legs on this wheel appear to be intact and look appropriate to the piece. The spinning wheel stands 14" tall when the wheel is in place. Again cannot speak to whether the hardware that holds the wheel to the frame is appropriate as do not have much of a background in spinning wheels, so sold as is.

As you can see in the photos below it has been painted and used as a planter, and it has a few quarter inch drain holes drilled in it(could be welded) with rust and dirt on the inside. I would have cleaned it up some but at the time these photos we re taken it was frozen! The bottom of the pot is embossed in large letters K X. I do not know if that is the maker or the size. Which by the way is approximately 15" high with an inside diameter of 23 1/2" In the last two photos you can see a hair line crack about three inches long it does not breach the rim, still very solid and would be an easy fix if necessary, and that slick spot on the bottom is ice. This bell is in very good to excellent condition with age and wear as you would expect and has the rarely seen original rope pulley. The bell has a nice clear ring. All parts are original to this bell and all are marked with a No. 24, the top of the bell also has a 24 on it but it is hard to read and photo. There are the usual small chips around the mouth of the bell and some rough casting flaws but there is no damage and no repairs. It has had a recent coat of flat black paint. This is a highly unusual size miniature hand made American rag rug. It measures 14 inches across and was found in a late 19th century earl 20th century doll kitchen but was probably not originally for doll kitchen but used on a table as decor. This is great Americana from early days. It could be mid 19th-early 20th century. Am not an expert in these rugs. Excellent antique conditions. Does not need cleaning, its dry and no stains and must have been stored lovingly. Five different patterns appear to be woven together colors meld nicely together, light brown stripes, black and white check, floral on a black background, white with red brown plaid, and light brown check. Just the best design too with great old black floral antique calico and an early accent fabric on the inside brim where the slats are still in place from years gone by. I don't think it was worn much if at all or maybe it was a mourning bonnet as they sometimes were made from early black calico and had this design. It covers the face very well with a large brim out front and old cardboard slats inside as you see in the pics. It measures about 10 inches from front to back when laying flat and about 17 inches long ... morefrom top to bottom of neck hem. The perfect size for a woman. I think it makes a perfect farm bonnet with an early black prairie dress.
