It looks like the first handwritten dedication is signed by a Coleridge it couldn't be Samuel Coleridge as he was deceased by then but might be a relative.

Antique Beatrix Pottery Books
These book are not in great condition but they are not falling apart either. Someone has scribbled on the back page of the larger one and it has a tear on the inside first page. The cardboard spine and some of the front picture is missing on the smaller one(The Tale of Two Bad Mice) but that it the worst of it. The inside of the larger one(The Roly Poly Pudding) is inscribed with the date May 22 1917 and the book measures 16cm x 20cm. The smaller book measures 10cm x 14cm. This bible also has inscription of Mary and her sisters births, so could have possibly been used as a family bible as well. There are some interesting clippings stuck into the bible. This is so interesting- it is an original magazine from 1928. It contains amazing stories and music as well as advertisements from 1928. This is very hard to find! Great fro a teacher or people interested in the educational culture of the time. To me it is very similar to the Steiner principles of today. Condition- cover and pages missing- I can't say which the page number starts at 545 and finishes at 584. However I am not sure if they started at one- or if this numbered on from a previous edition. Selling my super rare 1917( the only reference to a date of publication is on page 5 where it refers to 70 yrs experience in building plows and on the cover it states' Makers of good farm implements since 1847) Massey-Harris 102 page catalogue featuring the range of products available at the time including plenty of pictures and accompanying usage guidance for each product. Equipment includes plows. Hoes,scufflers, harrows, cultivators, planters, drills,mowers, rakes, binders, reaper-threshers, motors and cream separators etc etc. The book is a soft cover and is in very good condition aside from some nibbling to the top and bottom of the rear cover and spine, and a small brown stain to the top of most of the pages. ANDREES HANDATLAS 1937 / WWII Military Interest. Rare, Old, Collectable Book
Printed in Germany in 1937. I'm not sure who the original owner was during that period however I found a transparent map in a pocket at the back. With Nazi and Christian symbols marking different regions in Northern France and Belgium for War Cemeteries for Soldiers[photo 2] The atlas has various locations mapped out including co-ordinates. Distances and sea journeys. A very curious piece of history indeed. This atlas may be of some importance to war historians or people with a military interest. The spine has some damage but remains mostly intact supporting the pages. There are a couple of loose pages and there are two maps missing: Danzig Freie Stadt[Gdansk near Poland which became the German administrative district during WW2] and Bayern[Bavaria] German Print. The Goulburn Cookery Book: 40th Ed. National Trust of Australia: Sydney. Australia 1973. The Goulburn Cookery Book was compiled by Mrs William Forster Rutledge of Gidleigh. Bungendore. She gave the copyright to the Church Society of the[Anglican] Diocese on 2nd October 1899, and for thirty years the cookbook brought in a steady income to Church funds, selling 205,000 copies in thirty editions. By the thirty-sixth edition in 1936, the book had been reprinted almost every year with either 5000 or 10,000 copies. There were three more editions, the last in 1945, in a revised and altered form, called The New Goulburn Cookery Book, which was not so successful as it lacked the distinction of the original book. This 40 th edition was printed in 1973 is a facsimile of the original edition. The example for sale is in excellent condition. Her mother was Miss Jane Styles, of Reevesdale, Bungonia. Mr WF Rutledge’s parents were both Irish. Girls living in the country were brought up to manage a household and to be self-reliant. There was much work to be done to provision a country house. Meat was killed and cut up and held in cool meat houses. A barrel of brine in constant use for pickling any meat that could not be kept fresh. Milk from the dairy, once a necessity, now a luxury few can afford, was set in flat open pans and skimmed for cream. Butter was churned by hand, the surplus clarified and used for cooking. Pigs are complementary to dairy to consume the surplus skim milk, as there is no way of throwing milk away in the country that does not make a nasty mess.
