RARE CUSTOM BUILT WOODEN WATERLINE MODEL OF THE PUT-IN-BAY PASSENGER STEAMER
Hello everyone! You are looking at a rare custom built(scratch built) wooden waterline model of the Put-In-Bay Passenger Steamer. She was built in 1911 by the Detroit Ship Building Company for the Ashley and Dustin Steamer Line. She was 240 feet in length and had a beam of 46 feet. She was powered by a 2950hp four cylinder triple expansion steam engine and four coal-fired Scotch boilers. The Put-In-Bay was built primarily for the run between Detroit and Sandusky. Ohio with stops at Put-In-Bay at South Bass Island and Cedar Point, Ohio. In 1949 she was sold and made the run from Detroit to Port Huron, MI, with stops along the way. In 1953 she was sold for scrap and her upper works were burned off in Lake St Clair and her hull towed to River Rouge for scrapping. This model was built by a good friend of mine in the late 1960's and measures ... more10 inches long x 2 5/8 inches wide. It is made of a light wood(probably balsa) and is in excellent condition with the exception of the bow staff being loose(easy fix) and some dust. Please look at my pictures for a better view of details and condition. This model would be a great addition to anyone's Put-In-Bay or Great Lakes collection. Vintage ( possibly antique ) carved wooden sewing needle holder
For sale is a wooden needle holder box. It measures 2 ½ inches in length and approx 1 ¼ inches in diameter. The case itself is carved in a quite intricate pattern. There is a lion chasing what appears to be an antelope. This rather places the needle holder in the 19 th century– it being probably African in origin and made from a hard wood. As you can see from the pictures the lid removes to allow the needles to be placed in the cavity and then held within when the lid is replaced. A nice 6 leaf plant is carved into the top of the lid.

This chair originates from Scotland and dates from 1850 or earlier. It has been used recently. The seat is hewn from a single plank of oak not elm. All other parts are beech. The restraining bar has been turned from new beech wood as this had been lost to time. One arm where the restraining bar fits is blocked off with old horn. This chair has been recently restored. Oiled and waxed, not stained. There are some marks commensurate with age and use. There is also an ancient repair involving two staples and this has been repaired again and is part of the character and history of this piece. An historic item. There are no markings. On this vintage HOMEMADE( wooden FISHING LURE, from about the 1930s or 1940s. It appears to be made of wood. And measures about 5" long, and 3/4" at the thickest part. ~ On my postage scales, it weighs about 8/10 oz. ~ The paint colors are white, with black rib stripes, and it has two plugs of lead, visible at the bottom. It is so plain and crude. That I assume that it is hand made. Wooden spoon with decorative plastic handle.
Wooden spoon that has a white plastic handle decorated with what looks to be black olives on a branch. The back of the handle is just plain white with a concave surface. The wood has a shiny coating and the spoon hasn’t been used. There is a bubble and line of hardened glue where the handle has been attached but it is in good condition. It measures 10.25” long. RARE 19TH CENTURY WOODEN BOOSEY CLARINET BY G A CLINTON ORIGINAL LEATHER CASE
I believe this to be a bit of a rarity it is an early wooden clarinet by Boosey& Co and it comes complete with its original leather carrying case. The condition seems good but I am no expert. There does not appear to be any damage or cracks to the wood. I would say that the 2 pieces do not fit together very tightly so this would probably need some attention. It carries the serial No19781 and is marked as Approved by G, A. Clinton who I presume was the"Acker Bilk" of his day. It is just over 25" in length and the horn is approx 2.75" in diameter. Massive Wooden Shipwrights Bevel Square
Presented here is a massive old shipwrights bevel square. As you can see in the pictures this bevel is in good condition and appears to be made out of oak. It has a large brass screw for the rotation of the blade but one side of the oak is split so you can't really tighten the blade down once you have it in position. There is also an odd small nail in the side near the hinge. We're not sure why. So we left it there. Overall this bevel measures about 16-1/4" long(when closed) x 1-3/16" wide x 1" thick. What a spectacular set of wooden bowls. They are hand painted with very little flaws. There are 2 large bowls at 6 1/4" across the top. 1 small bowl at 4 3/8" across the top. A dish that is carved to look like a pheasent or maybe a chicken. It is 9 3/4" from the tip of its bill to the back of its tail. And then there is a canster with its lid. It stands 7 1/2" tall. It could be a cigar canaster or(Humador) This set of wooden bowls are in fine shape with very little scratching. There are some markings on the bottom of all the pieces but I can not make them out. Couldn't find a business card. So I used a standard playing card. Might not look like it, but this is pretty old, hand made. Is about the size of a medium apple, solid wood. Stem is leather. It sits flat and is not damaged.

Wooden Polish Wine Decanter Set- Hand painted set which includes a decanter which measures 11-1/2 in. high and six wine cups with stems measuring 3 in. tall. Decanter and cups are in excellent condition. Set includes a round hand painted plate which was broken and glued. Item was purchased in Poland in 1978. Item is for decorative purposes only. Up for Auction is this Antique/Vintage Folk Art. Japanese Wooden Caving 1960-1964. It's A Japanese Wood Carving that my Father-in-Law brought back from Japan in the years he Served in the Army. 1960-1964. He was station in Japan. This is a Two Headed Carving wirh Asian lettering on the front. I have no idea what it says. This Peice is quite rare. NOTE: This Peice has two visable areas of Damage. The first is to the Left Head on the very top. And the Right head on the Hat brim. I'll be starting this Peice of Art $50.00 Less then my others, due to this damage.
