CHARTER OAK Wood Burning COOK STOVE vintage antique Cast Iron *LPU*
Here is a big antique wood burning cook stove. Marked"Charter Oak" on firebox door and also on an emblem on oven door. Also marked"Charter Oak St Louis" on back. It is big and heavy. Made of cast iron it is about 40 inches wide. 25 inches deep(excluding handles on front and excluding pipe connector on rear) It is about 32 inches tall at the grill plus 20 inches for the backsplash for a total overall of 52 inches tall. I did not have a scale to weigh this on but it is very heavy. Firebox has some damages(photo#7) Ash pan needs replaced. Small piece broke off backsplash mounting arm(far left bottom in photo#3. Backsplash is still solidly attached) Left side of pipe connector is cracked(photo#12) Left side door needs a catch. Oven door is set up with a spring closure which needs adjusted. Other rather minor flaws. All four ... morelegs are good. Porcelain/enamel is nice with some rather minor blemishes. Water heater and fold out spigot are good. Antique "Stewart 270 Oak" wood or coal burning pot belly stove / base heater.
This is an antique"Stewart 270 Oak" base heater from approximately 1907 that is very rare. I found it upstate New York and had it professionally restored to a magnificent finish. It looks probably as good as it looked when it came off the showroom floor 105 years ago and is ready for another 105 years. It gives an amazing amount of heat and would heat up to 5000 square feet easily. It can burn wood or coal and is extremely efficient as it exhausts from the base so only the coolest gases go up the flu. It is also possible to cook on the flat top if you want. With the price of oil and gas today. This would heat your house for probably less than a quarter of your current fuel bills. Many parts were replaced during restoration including the grate, ash box, mica glass, hot plate and finial. This is an antique 189 5 wood burning parlor stove called"Round Oak"No.20 made by PD Beckwith Dowagiac.Michigan. It has a very ornate decorative brass finial with copper and cherubs heads/faces on the wings( original to the stove when found) It has a very ornately carved swing top with a cook plate underneath. It also comes with a n unusual folk art type of plate lifter(it was found in the stoves ashes) with a cast iron horse wired to it(two of the legs are broken) The top ring on this stove is original to it and is unusual because it is cast iron and was probably the last year cast iron rings were made.The fire box is in very good condition and the original grates are also present in good condition. Embossed into the metal on the back is: copyright Sexton 1980. U.S.A. 1199-77. It is a metal piece but it is not cast iron. It is definitely much lighter. Exact metal unknown. 1915 antique Sill Sterling wood/propane cook stove
This is a 1915 Sill Sterling wood/propane cook stove made in Rochester New York. A very rare find. It is all original and in good shape we are currently using it as our way of cooking. All works great, including valves and temp. gauges. Left side is wood oven and burners, right side is propane. The top is a roll top for keeping buns warm. Comes with about 8 feet of stove pipe. Try and find another 1 of these on the net. Great show piece for that country cottage. Preppers or that backwoods livin. No power required. Could use with wood forever. Group of 3 Antique Cast Iron Wood Coal Stove Lid Lifters, Grate Shakers, Etc.
A group of three antique cast iron stove parts. I am unsure of the exact function of each. They could be lid lifters. Grate shakers, or something else, but they are all stove related. The first piece measures about 8-1/4" long and is marked"140" on the top of the handle. There are some casting marks on the underside of the handle as well. But they are difficult to read. The second piece m easures about 8" long. Has a casting mark on the underside of"B63" and is nickel plated. The third piece m easures about 11-1/2" long and has no casting marks or other identifiers. And is also nickel plated. The parts are used. But in good condition. The plated items do show some plating wear and minor rusting. The pictures show the condition of the items. Harbor Sales Compnay Wood Stove
You are bidding on a very old working wood burning Stove. It was made by Harbor Sales Company from best I can tell. It's very decorative and it's what I was looking for. I have restored it a bit from the rusty stove I found in a barn. It still needs a little work but as you can tell from the pics which was taken shortly before posting this add it still works and it's currently in use. You will get the stove and the exhaust pipe coming from the stove. Only the first section as it's made for the stove not the elbow up it is new as you can tell. The wife wants a more modern stove and after a year of complaining I'm giving in. As I said this is an antique from what I and my father can tell. My father is 70 so I'm taking his word for it. This is not a must sell so the reserve is $300 which is not high at all for a wood ... moreburning stove. The buyer is responsible for shipping. I will not make any arrangements to ship this item. 1920 Monarch Malleable Wood Cook Stove w/ Hot Water Reservoir 7000 series. Excellent original condition. 2-tone white/tan enamel. Stove was purchased in 1920 for a loggers cabin in CA. It remained in place and was used until 2011 when it was moved to Oregon. Comes with pipe fittings. It needs some sheet metal work in the oven and some chrome work.
