Antique Cribben & Sexton Gas/Wood/Coal Universal Cook Stove
Antique Cribben and Sexton Stove. I am second owner of this stove tho have stored it for 30 years awaiting purchase of house with a kitchen large enough to accomodate it. I have never used the stove tho cooktop was in use by original owner. Specific date of stove 1915-1918 assuming by patent stamps on various pieces. Issues are predominately with gas supply. The linkage that raises and lowers the oven burner to control oven temperature has snapped tho both cast iron pieces fit and could be welded. The linkage that extends to the front of the stove which allows gas to the oven and broiler is snapped and the front piece is missing(photo) The gas valve to the broiler is missing as is the standard black pipe supply. The firebox liners have been overheated(photo) and do not seem to fit in properly.Homestead stoves for replacements) Also missing ... moreis the firebox shaker. The cast iron vent is intact. Porcelain is good with small chip on one cooktop handle. Only two of the original cooktop grilles available. Oven grates. Broiler trays good, thermometer, and ash pan all good. Expected surface rust on chrome. Great piece that has received much acclaim even tho it sits in my basement. Great for B&B, barn, cabin, etc. I believe restorable with nominal effort. This is an ARTIC brand wood stove lid lifter. It is a chrome. With a spring handle. It is in great shape, and had no chips, cracks or missing chrome. The bottom side of the lifter has a small amount of rust, but it is not deep, or pitted. I did not clean this, as some people prefer it to be in original condition. It will be a nice item for a collection, or it is still a very useable item if you have an old wood stove, and need this for your use.

Fully functional antique wood burning stove for sale. Ideal Universal" model by Cribben& Sexton Co Chicago. Has cast iron top. Front and bottom section. Center mid-section is steel sheet and has been replaced with new steel as shown in the pictures. Has been used only one winter after total rebuild/ repair. Very nice stove has older nickel plating and is very ornate with skirts and side wings. The stove has spots for 3 skirts but I purchased the stove with only 2 skirts. Does not look like its missing unless you point it out. Front opening has swivel'Cribben& Sexton' plate for fitting larger logs. Top loading cover also allows for long logs to be used- up to 26 inches long! The stove stands about 42.5 inches tall and the square base is 21 inches by 21 inches. ANTIQUE RARE Upper Canada CAST IRON WOOD STOVE 1850's
An Antique Rare Upper Canada Early Wood Stove Cast Iron marked U.C. found in a 1790's original barn. It is in two pieces. The top lifts of the base. No cracks or repairs. The base and the top. Very heavy. Sand cast early stove all original. Marked U.C. Upper Canada)on the top of the stove. Missing front door. Nice padded feet. Measures 37 inches long by 10.5 inches wide by 22 inches tall. No front door. It would be a nice display in a early home museum or Wood stove shop as a display. Although I believe the stove will work! Stove must be picked up at my address near Rochester. ORNATE ANTIQUE S.H. RANSOM CO ALBANY NY CAST IRON WOOD STOVE 1848 PAT. DATE
This is a very nice antique cast iron stove made by the S.H. Ransom Co. of Albany NY. It measures aprox. 27" high x 25" wide across the front. 22" wide across the back and is 20" deep. The flue pipe size would be 5" It is in very good condition, we could find no breaks or repairs, it is just a little dusty from being in storage. It is available for pickup or can be delivered as far south as the Delaware Memorial Bridge/ Philadelphia area. Please e-mail for cost and availability.
