Antique Parlor Stove Gas Wood Coal Nickel Trim
Antique cast iron parlor stove that apparently burned coal. Wood or ran on gas. The gas burner is gone from the inside, leaving the vent and gas pipe bracket on the right side. The interior is all there including the coal grate and ash tray. They must have used it for burning coal at one time. No rust through on outside sheet metal. The nickel plated trim is still very nice but there is a weld repair on the front foot rest rail. You can see this in one of the photos. It is a nice smooth repair but it did take the nickel off at that spot. Have never used one of these and don't know much about them. The dimensions are approx: 37" tall by 20" wide by 18" deep. The name on the front is COLGAS UNIVERSAL No. 316. The ornamental top swings away to reveal a small lift off lid to put a pot on. Probably made a bout 1900- 1920. Up for auction here is an antique cook stove burner cover or draft vent cover from a Queen brand stove. It is heavy iron. Is 5.5" in diameter and 6.5" wide when the pivot hole is included, and has a patent date of May 28, 1907 stamped on it. It is in great condition. 1938-39 Monarch wood and electric cook stove. Wood side is heated with left-end trashburner box. Wood cooking surface and wood oven controlled by slide and pull venting. Electric side has four coils(I replaced one with a quicker element. But I have the original and will ship it with) and an electric oven and broiler. Warming tray above surface(see pic) Stove is in excellent condition. 55" wide and(with stove pipe coming out of back) 39" deep. A real showpiece. I can deliver within 200 miles.
