Never planned to sell this in my life time. Been in the family longer than I would know as it nears it's Century mark. Standing about 19 and 3/4 inches tall this very deco set had been setting by the old cook stove or one of two fireplaces in the old house which will soon be 150 years old in North California. Another story. They are Art Deco, original. They are weathered by the years and then plating has faded here and there but still hold a shine when soft cloth wiped regardless of the plating worn off. No one in the family has spoken up for them as yet so I'll list them and see if one of you want them. Offered for auction is this antique cast iron stove lid lifter measuring 7 1/2 inches long with a 5/8 inch wide tang. The name"ARCTIC" is embossed on one side. This is nickel with a coiled spring handle. Manufactured circa 1890's. Most of the nickel finish is worn off. There are no cracked or broken pieces.

The finial is a bit over 3 7/8" tall from base to center top tip. 2 5/8" wide at the Florence lettering, and a variable(thinner at the top) 1/4" thick. The base of the finial is a rough 1/2" in both directions and does not have a hole for mounting. A magnet does not stick and we are not sure of the material it is made of. We found no breaks or missing pieces, but the part does have oxidation/discoloration as shown in the photos. A great old stove finial! It is a light green and cream colored enamel and cast iron stove. I believe it is of the late 1800's but not certain. This stove is a restoration project. It has some missing parts. old Wind Up Kitchen Timer for Wood Burning Range / Stove
Until someone proves different I'm calling this a rare accessory kitchen timer for an old wood burning range. I believe it would attach to back of stove and the shape is to allow for the top surface of stove to clear. It's 22" tall and weighs 5-1/2 pounds. Cast iron, and finished with white porcelain with just one small chip in the white. 60 minute wind up timer is made by LUX Clock Co. in Waterbury CT and works perfectly. Bell rings for several seconds when time expires. My kids will recall this being used for the"time out" timer when they were little with that bell being a very welcome sound! There is also a hole with a set screw at the top that may have allowed an ornament or finial of some kind to be added. This is an antique salesman's sample or child's toy stove and NOT a reproduction version from the 1960s-70s. A quick way to tell them apart is that the repro of this stove has a cast aluminum cooking surface. Legs and frame, while the antique's cooking surface is cast iron. With plated cast iron legs and frame. We know this because both the antique and the later reproduction were at the same estate auction. We guarantee this is the antique and it's in very clean. Highly displayable condition. This stove represented an actual full-sized stove then being made by Qualifed Range Co. of Ft. Re cov ery. Ohio. Samples that were made for Karr Range are so similar( the only ... moredifference we note is the different name on the fire box cover. Usually Karr Range Co. Belleville, I ll. th at it seems very likely there was a connect ion b etween the two companies. Especially since some have turned up marked"Qualified Rge. Co. Belleville, IL" and others"Karr Qualified Range" Please note that the blue surfaces are a medium-glossy finish that made it difficult to photo without reflections. We were able to eliminate most of the reflections by photoing from different angles. Also. Please note that all the blue is uniform and all the same shade(no lighter or darker areas) The flat side panels in photo 4 are very close to the true color. The stove. Which measures 20-7/8" x 12-1/2" x 8-3/4" functions just like the full-sized model. Wood can be burned and the ashes can be shaken down to the collecting drawer(this stove has never had anything burned in it) All vents function just like the full-sized model. This is a vintage Wedge wood gas stove. Not positive what year, possibly 1930's. It belonged to my great Aunt. It is located in Cheyenne Wyoming, it is very heavy so whoever buys it will have to either pick it up themselves or make arrangements. It is the only thing of my Dad's estate that I was unable to bring back with me to Texas so a friend is storing it for me. It is a bit dirty due to storage in a garage but as far as I know it did work last it was hooked up. My Dad was building a house and had plans to install it and use it. Thanks. It was minted in San Franscisco between 1890 and 1910, moved to Virginia City, Nevada, Silver Mines, then moved to Lake Tahoe, then sold in an Estate Sale to me. The sale was at the same time of the Lorne Green Bonanza Estate sale in spring of 2013 but the procurer was not certain if it came from the Lorne Green holdings. It is spectacular and cared for, definitely someone of influence and affluence. Normally these are about 30" wide. Due to the vent with cast scroll work at left it is 38.5" wide or 47" wide to edge of removable pan leaf on right(and the round pot holders extend it another 6" to right) 30" tall ... moreto burner level. 57.5" tall to top of back panel. 30" deep from back to front oven handle. I love wood burning stoves and this is by far the most prestigious stove Ive ever seen. Nickle is in excellent shape. Stove itself is also in excellent shape.
