Antique Japan Pewter Metal Trinket Box-Wood Lined-Horse & Buggy Front Etched-WOW
Hello. You are viewing my sale for an Antique Japan Pewter Metal Trinket Box With A Wood Lined Interior. The lid on the box has a scene of two Horses and a Buggy. The metal on the box is either pewter or some other type of metal. I am unsure of the exact material. There are raised letters on the bottom which spell"Made In Japan" The entire box measures 6 and 1/2" long by 2" tall by 3 and 3/4" wide. The lid and bottom do not have hinges so the lid is lifted on and off the box. It appears that at some point there were hinges that connected the lid to the box however they are no longer present. The lid has a slight bend in it. The inner wood does have some wear marks. Overall this is a great box with great detail. The metal has an intricate design and look to it. Upright Bass Bow Wood W/Horsehair Approx. 30.5" Long Silver W/MOP - Take A LooK!
It looks like a pretty nice bow. I don't know a lot about them. But I compared the hair against another bow that I know has synthetic hair, and this one definitely looks like horse hair. It has mother of pearl, and silver, but at the tip it looks like plastic. It's marked with an S in the wood at the tip. It's in very good condition except when I hold it with the hair down, and look down to the tip it slightly bows to the left, not too bad, but it probably should be straightened. The wood is rounded all the way up and down, and the bow weighs approx. 4.7 ounces. See the pictures and the title for more. Fully Restored Seth Thomas Metronome Vintage Cherry Tiger Stripe Wood Maelzel
This is a fully serviced and beautiful. Vintage Seth Thomas wind-up Metronome Maelzel Model. It is either a model#7 or#8 based on similar ones I have seen. It is a real treasure to find and was made in 1960’s I believe, however Seth Thomas started producing metronomes in the late 1800's. They are known for their high quality clocks, and their quality shows in the performance of this metronome! This metronome runs strong like it was brand new. It is complete with no missing parts, and a solid case with no loose parts, or splits- even the feet pads are felt and are solidly attached to the bottom to avoid loss. Beautifully restored, calibrated and lubricated- runs perfectly. Case is in wonderful condition with exception of some tiny marks on the wood finish, mainly on the door. I tried to get close up photos to show detail of some of the ... moremarks, but you have to look closely to see them in real life. With that said, this case is still very beautiful. You will probably not find another one of these this old in this nice of condition with the movement already serviced. The mahogany or cherry color stained wood case is made out of solid birch wood(no veneers) and has a pretty glow throughout. The finish has a very beautiful look to it, which you should be able to see in the close up pictures. It has a clean and good condition. All-metal signed"ST" in a diamond beat scale that is all readable, but there is some faint tarnish on the metal. The nice MINT looking plaque on the front made of solid brass and signed in fancy old English script, Seth Thomas" and the Made in USA movement runs like new. It has a wide, very visual pendulum swing and a very even, loud ticking sound as it runs. Only a classic mechanical metronome produces the solid and desirable"wood block" ticking sound. The brass movement was just cleaned. Adjusted and oiled, saving you $75-$150 over other"as found" metronomes. Not many of the other metronomes you may find elsewhere get this kind of service. Old violin bow Stamped WEIDLICH nice dainty stick with great wood
Fine Quality Full size(Exactly 29 inches long) old Violin bow. Bow is made from great wood that is strong but is dainty. The bow is stamped WEIDLICH. Stick is in great condition with no damage or cracks. It has good camber and is straight. It weighs 49 grams without hair and wrapping. Will probably be about 55 to 57 grams once fully dressed. The Frog is original in my opinion and is in good shape. This bow will be well worth the effort and should be a great playing bow. Shipping is $12 in a tube to USA. Overseas is $22. Check out this extremely rare antique"CALLIOPE" from the Aug 20. 1889 Paris Worlds Fair, made by the Bostwick& Burgess Mfg. Co. Norwalk, Ohio! A similar item is in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in the Antique Musical Instruments section and the condition is not nearly as nice as this- plus it doesn’t picture the Palmer Cox Brownies. This panpipe whistle instrument is made of solid wood and it has the complete label picturing an incredibly detailed scene picturing several characters partying at the Worlds Fair– the BROWNIES as well as UNCLE SAM! The instrument is made of striped pattern wood with 10 inlaid circular pieces at the mouthpiece that form the whistles. It measures about 6" wide, 3-1/2" deep and ½" thick. ANTIQUE MID 19th CENTURY 26th REGIMENT IN COMPANY B ? CIVIL WAR ? WOOD HARMONICA
A 19th century wood and iron handmade signed harmonica found in Kankakee County IL measuring approximately 4 1/4 x 1 1/8 x 1/2 inches. It appears to read"26 IND CO B" on top and below the initials"TC" A search of the National Park Service indicates a Mr.Thomas Chambers of the 26th Regiment Indiana Company B. Another source shows Thomas Chambers of Edwardsport IN died at New Orleans on August 31. 1863. Another Union soldier part of the same regiment, Thomas Cooper, also of Edwardsport, is listed in that same database as passing on October 20, 1863. Given the location of its last origin and the deceased, it is reasonably possible that this item is a Civil War relic passed down to a family member. A light blow and the instrument does make a harmonica noise. Some more recent loss to some of the read openings on the non-iron ... moreside. 14 openings total. Thanks for looking. This is an antique"Calliope" made by the Bostwick& Burgess Mfg. Co. Norwalk. Ohio. The same item is in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art( in much poorer condition) with a circa date of 1889. It is a panpipe whistle instrument made of solid wood. It has the complete light green paper label. The instrument is made of striped pattern wood with 10 inlaid circular pieces at the mouthpiece that form the whistles. Other than some light stains on the paper label the piece is in excellent condition. It measures about 6 inches wide, 3 1/2 inches deep and 1/2 inch thick.

Painted Wood Pair 19th Century Architectural Antique Corbel ~18" long
Up for sale is an antique pair of architectural corbels recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia. PA area. They are found in good to very good used condition, are from the Victiorian Era and retains which appears to be original paint. Some of the paint is distressed, and is peeling away. This piece features a fan style decoration at the base and a key hole top. These pieces are mounted on boards. These corbels measure approximately 18" tall x 11 1/2" wide. Currently they are mounted on a board. One board measures approximately 23 3/4" tall while the other, approximately 25 1/4" A very interesting pair.
