This thing is quite large and oddly shaped. So the shipping will probably not be cheap. AGE: This one is old. But it is one of those items that is impossible for me to tell exactly how old. My guess would be from the 1950s to the 1960s. DIMENSIONS: Wing-tip to wing-tip is 24” X 22” long X 11” tall. MATERIALS: The airplane’s outer body. Wings, and propellers are carved pine and the tailfin and inner body is plywood. ORIGINALITY: Other than the broken propeller that was repaired. This is completely original. CONDITION: It has spent some time outdoors but it is not extremely weathered. One of the propellers broke and has been glued back. The newer custom made display stand is rusty. VINTAGE ANTIQUE EARLY 1900s BRASS? ARROW WEATHERVANE. Dimensions: The weathervane stands 23" tall by 24" the diameter. The length of weathervane's arrow. It looks to be made entirely of brass but has oxidation over it. However, the fletching(where the feathers would be) is made of aluminium to catch the wind. I have seen another one of these on ebay before so I know the aluminum part is correct to the vane. There are four old bullet holes in the fletchings part of the arrow. This is shown in the photographs, as is some rust on the steel base mount. The arrow weathervane is in all original condition and came from an old farm building on the Eastern shore of Maryland. Vintage Old and Original Standing Horse Weathervane, Rare Vane for Lightning Rod
Rare Vintage Standing Horse Weathervane. This copper/bronze horse weathervane measures 23 inches long. The horse it's self is 10 1/2 inches long and 9 1/2 inches tall. Hard to find this very old thin hollow bodied standing horse vane. When the old Michigan barn came down.He came down with it. His tail was broken off and lost in the barn pile of timbers and barn boards. His body was flattened some as well. These old standing horse vanes were not really thick to start with. They are made of two matching pieces clipped and sodiered together. Collectors know this is a very old horse as it is on the very old twisted wire arrow. This auction is for and old arrow weathervane that looks like it had a sign or something bolted to ie. probably some kind of advertise thing. it is about 18 inches tall and about 28 inches wide the top is painted black. a magnet does not stick to the top half but does on the metal shaft going down. arrow ends seem to be aluminum and the horizontal rod is copper or brass. one of the mounting clamps is missing part of it but can be repaired. please email any questions.

Vintage Copper and Steel Whale Maritime Weathervane
Hi All. I have here for sale a super nice Antique weather vane of a copper Whale in excellent functional condition. The Seams are all tight on the soldered body, this came of a home on the Central California coast and had been there for a good 50 years at least. The copper can easily be polished back to it's original luster and I'd be happy to do that for a small fee, I could even paint the direction steel if you wished, I'm quite experienced in restorations(for a fee) but otherwise it's ready to go as is and will be shipped well packed. Vintage Cast Aluminum American Eagle in Flight Weathervane with Directionals and Lightening Balls. This Weathervane was removed from an old estate sale in Fresno. CA. This weathervane has a nice weathered age patina with black hammered arrow, directionals and post. The overall size is 37" TALL, 29" AT ITS WIDEST POINT. THE EAGLE ITSELF HAS A 15" wingspan and is roughly 15" tall. He is huge! Perfect addition for your home and garden. Sold as found, described and photographed. Folk Art Weathervane Lamp Antique Weather Vane
This is a great old primitave. Hand-forged weathervane, that was made into a lamp.The flag spins, and the peice has a great look to it. the bottom starts off with a cone shape, and about mid way up there is a nice round ball with some scroll work on the sides. above that is the flag. On the top sits 5 candle shaped light bulbs sockets. I am not sure on the wireing as the plug-end is just two wires. It is old, how old is hard to say. The weathervane maybe like 150 years old, and the peice was made into a lamp, in the 50's or so. It is a great peice of americana, and is sure to be a GREAT addition to any room in your house. Large Antique Copper Horse Weathervane Running Race Cast Metal Zinc Weather Vane
This is a really nice antique copper running horse weathervane with a solid cast metal( lead/zinc)head. Fine Patina is evidence of years in the weather. No idea of age. This beautiful piece was taken from a barn roof in PA. Found at a local estate. The man having the sale said as a boy his family bought a farm and this horse weather vane was on the barn. He said they lived there for 20 years and when they moved his father took it with them. The horse does not appear to have been cleaned or polished and shows the work of nature. I did wipe it down. The horse's head is made of zinc/lead I'm told and the body is hand formed from heavy copper and hot lead soldered together into this fine looking horse. The piece is 17" from top of the ear to the top of the pipe, The pipe is 33" long and weighs over 8 pounds. Nice detail in proper ... morehorse anatomy with muscles and veins showing. Head, eyes and mouth are so realistic. This piece is as good as I have seen and in marvelous condition with no cracks, dents or other distractions. Antique Steel Horse Weathervane with Arrow
This is an antique Horse Weather Vane. The horse is made of steel and has a lot of surface rust from being outside for a few years. The horse attaches to an arrow that is made out of some kind of metal alloy. It was once mounted on a N-S-E-W attachment and used as a weather vane. It could be remounted and used again. Or it would look great mounted on a wall or on top of a mailbox in some rural setting. The arrow measures 23” long and the horse measures 11” long nose to tail end by 7” high. I will be listing a variety of nice Antique and Vintage Items this week. Here is a Nice OLD FOLK ART WOODEN SPERM WHALE WEATHERVANE in BLACK PAINT. It is 28" long. I would guess this Whale to be from sometime in the first-half of the 20thC vintage. Perhaps Early-20thC. This whale is coming out of the contents of the historic house at 121 Washington St. in Marblehead. MA which were sold off this past month. Appears to be made of pine and cut from a single piece of wood. He is missing the tips of his tail. The larger chip on bottom tip looks like a fairly recent break, but I was unable to find the missing piece anywhere in estate. Several other crack lines in wood. He has a brass tack for his eye on one side. Two of the same old brass tacks on other side where it was hung by a string on a wall in it's history. The"rear" side ... moreof whale looks to have a drier, older looking patina to surface than the displayed side, but front side paint looks to have some decent age to it as well. Nice old whale. Weathervane Windmill with Rooster on Top from Montana Ranch-Antique
This old unit needs some TLC on the windmill. However, the rooster and wind tail are in nice vintage galvanized shape. Someone that wants to restore the windmill could do it with some tin snips, a drill and a little time to make up the blades and braces that are missing. The hub bearings appear to be o.k. as it spins. It was mounted on and is an old galvanized pipe. We will ship by taking the windmill off the weathervane and laying all flat in strong cardboard. This unit is off a ranch in West Montana. A lot of history in this one. It weighs 20 lbs. of metal. The total length is about 3' the wind tail is 18" x 18" and the windmill is about 32" in diameter when complete.

You are bidding on a TOTALLY AUTHENTIC AMERICANA FOLK ART antique Horse Weather Vane. That is made out of some kind of metal alloy and mounted on an iron arrow and once used as a weather vane. IT LOOKS GREAT mounted on a wall. The piece has wonderful, artistic lines- it's 28" long from the tip of the arrow to the end; the height is 12" from the tip of the horse's ears to the bottom of the arrow; and the horse itself is 13" long, but would be 2" or so longer if his front leg were still attached to the metal mounting. The appears to be some of carousel or circus horse, as there is a sculpted band around its middle. THE ARROW HAS AMAZING PATINA, and both it and the horse are obviously very old and weathered. There are several bullet holes in the horse- it obviously was used as target practice out there on the range- ... moreand the horse is also missing most of his legs from the knees down. Vintage Cast Metal Horse Weathervane Mounted On A Wooden Base
Offering this excellent vintage cast metal horse weathervane. I don't know if this piece came this way. Or if the wooden base was added later on. The horse is solid cast metal with a copper and green patination on it and it is very heavy. I have tested it and a magnet will not stick to the horse though it does stick to the metal rod and the directions. Part of the W for the west direction is missing as you can see in the pictures but otherwise, it is in great condition. Total height is 14 1/2 inches. The horse measures 6 1/2 inches tall and 11 inches long. The directions are 8 1/2 inches across and the base is 1 1/2 inches thick, 5 1/2 inches wide and 7 1/2 inches long. Vintage Solid cast iron weathervane horse Motion and a mark Traces of Gold Leaf
Antique Weathervane Horse. An old barn find.I believe to be the early 1900's or maybe later 1800's? I am not a weathervane expert so I am trying to present the best information I can.The entire weathervane is made of cast iron, since a magnet sticks to all pieces. This weathervane has a great finish from decades of exposure to the elements. Rain, sleet, snow, lightning, and birds. It measures 34" from the top of the horses head to the bottom of the base. The horse is 8"wide by 7"high, and the arrow is 12" wide. There is a mark on the bottom of the base but after a month of research, I still don't know who it belongs to. This is a beautiful antique copper weather vane with a wonderful. Traditional design. The weather vane's compass points are topped by a large rooster with an arrow pointer for indicating the direction of the wind. This is a striking architectural detail originating from a Stow, VT antique store. Purchased 25 years ago as a wedding gift, so know it's at least that old. Cannot find any markings. The weather vane disassembles into two pieces. Total height of approximately 52 inches. The compass points measure 18" across from end to end. Vintage Scio Pottery "Provincial Rooster Weathervane" Dinnerware for Two 1950s
This pattern. Provincial Rooster Weathervane, in the Pennsylvania Dutch style, was one of the most popular made by Scio Pottery of Ohio which manufactured from the 1930s through the 1980s. This particular pattern was produced during the 1950s and is still very much in demand today. I came across these pieces, along with others, in my travels but these were the only ones that were worth salvaging. For some reason these dishes tend to fade over time and this group seems to have held its color quite well. There are two of each: 9-1/2" dinner plates. 6" bread or dessert plates, 6" saucers, and 3-3/4" diameter(6 oz. cups. They are not in perfect condition. They definitely have seen a lot of use. I don't find any cracks but there are a couple of very tiny chips here and there, the most noticeable of which are on the cups ... morequite close to the handles which I have tried to show in the last photo. They are so small that they really do not detract. Otherwise, there are utensil marks and some discoloration that m ay come out with a good soak. For pottery pieces 60 years old or so they are in overall good condition. These are pre-owned pieces. With flaws as described and are being sold as is.
