Buckingham Rebellion Tree Saddle Harness Ergovation Viking Puma Cougar Climbing
I am selling my Buckingham Rebellion saddle. It is in new condition and is free of any rips. Tears or stains. If I didn't tell you I used it, you would think it is brand new. I only used it twice for a total of maybe 1 hour- once to remove a widows maker in a Birch, and once to prune an Oak over the winter. I haven't done any climbing since so I am selling some of my gear. The Rebellion harness is only sold through TreeStuff and is a"Liger" that is built by Buckingham in the United States. It has the body of a Buckingham Viking/Buckcat/Puma with the same bridge and rigging plates as the Ergovation. The leg straps use ISC buckles. Also like the Ergovation. The best part about this harness is you can replace the bridge for about $4 as opposed to the $50+ for t he Viking/Buckcat/Puma. You can also lengthen or shorten the bridge ... moreto your liking. I left the bridge exactly how it came from the factory. This saddle is size"S" which. According to Buckingham, fits 28-32" waists. I have a 32" waist and find that I use the middle adjustment. I am including a brand new pair of Buckingham suspenders as well as a 4' section of Samson Velocity rope(same rope used for the bridge) You can use this as a replacement when the original wears out or play around with different bridge lengths. I paid a total of $334 for everything here: $280 for the harness. $50 for the suspenders, and $4 for the extra bridge. Original box and instructions are included. It weighs 22 grams(according to my scale) It is a mid-lenght necklace, not too long, not to close to your neck. It has the stamp"Norway Pewter" on the back. The design is a beautiful long boat with a dragon/beastie at the front, crossed shields, and stylized waves. The right hand side of the sail has several small scratches, along with a few other small scratches(under 1 mm) on the sail. I think it adds to the vintage charm of the piece! Very nice old sterling brooch. Marked 830 S NE(in horseshoe shape) and MONSTERB on the back. NE is Nils Erik Elvik of Norway according to an online source whose expertise is in the area of identifying sterling marks around the world(I would be glad to give you the website address if you write and request it) The 830 S is the Norwegian mark for sterling- this was used until sometime in the 1920s when it was changed to 925. Brooch is circular featuring a Viking ship in the center. The construction of the brooch with barrel clasp. C clip, and pin back that extends outside the circular shape of the brooch I think are all indicative of jewelry manufactured in the 19th Century or early 20th. That being said, I will have to let the experts decide. Brooch measures approximately 2-1/8" Weighs 5.1 grams. Hagstrom Viking model. Made in Sweden,1960's. Beautiful original example of this very playable guitar. No repairs or modifications found. Light overall finish checking on the neck. Not detectable to the feel. As well the body has some finish checks as one would expect from an instrument of it's age. The body right below the heel has a few chips missing and is more than likely the result of string pressure. There are a few chips of finish missing from F hole near the controls. I have tried to picture the flaws. Please examine the photos. The Bigsby tremolo assembly is original without flaw. It moves freely and returns to tune. Pickups and electronics work perfectly as well. Fret board and neck are straight with no bumps or twists. The truss rod moves freely and is adjusted. Bridge is all original and all pieces onboard. Vintage wooden articulated monkey toy. This was designed by Zoo-Line. Hand-made in Japan, and distributed by Viking in the 1950s. It is closely modeled on the 1951 design classic by Kay Bojesen. This adorable monkey is a great. Whimsical display piece. His hands and feet are curved so that he can hang and swing just like a real monkey. Made of teak and another. Lighter-colored wood(limba? the monkey measures about 10 1/2 inches tall with his arms extended, and 3 1/4 inches wide. Great vintage condition, with(as far as I can tell) no missing parts and no damage. The head. Arms, and legs all move with ease, allowing many different poses. This is a single-sided 3-page. 8.5" x 11" draft" memo created prior to in-house distribution to the committee members and dated July 16, 1973 by JPL(Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, CA) for NASA(National Aeronautics And Space Administration) This memo is titled"QUO VADIS- ORCON" and is# 291JHN-73- which is an incomplete, not final interoffice memo number) As this is a"draft" ingeroffice memo, is is an original, which was typed on stationary paper, and has a handful of light blue penciled corrections/additions and a few whiteout spots. This"draft" memo came from the estate of the man who started at JPL in 1960. When he became the Test Director for the Ranger Project, and by April 1965, he was Test and Operations Manager for the Ranger 6, 7, 8 and 9 flight missions; from 1965- 1968, he was ... moreassigned as Section Manager, System Test and Launch Operations for the Surveyor Project; in 1968, he was Space Flight Operations Director for the Mariner'69 Project; from 1969-76 he worked on the Viking Project as Orbiter Mission Operations Manager, Mission Director for Cruise Operations, and Deputy Mission Director for Lander Operations, as well as multiple managers' tasks with the Viking Project from May 1980- October 1982; from 1982- 1985 he was assigned military tasks; and from 1985- 1987 he worked as Flight Operations System Manager on the Pathfinder Project.
