This item is a very nice English sterling tea caddy spoon made in 1969 to commemorate Prince Charles investiture as the Prince of Wales. It is in excellent condition with no dents. Dings or repairs. It is very heavy weighing 41.0 grams. It has a Fleur De Lis on the bowl and a dragon on the handle with the Ich Dien motto. It was made by Garrard the Crown Jeweler and is fully hallmarked for London, 1968-69. It measures 3" x 2" Good Luck in adding this important piece to your collection. A Clipper sailing ship is depicted at top of the tree shaped handle, and in the pierced ruffled edge spoon bowl are scrolls and flowers and at the bottom a country scene with a milk maid holding two buckets of milk, one in each hand. The hallmarks on the back of spoon bowl are difficult to read but they look to me like a*dolphin mark and possibly also a sword mark. This spoon is not Sterling Silver. Rare faux laburnum Tea Caddy for restoration. I originally thought this was laburnum. But having looked properly, it's actually paper mache decorated to look like laburnum or similar. This is a lovely little Caddy with well cast and engraved brass mounts and inner lid knobs. Original zinc lining paper to the inner compartments. It has two problems. Both easily rectified. It's missing it's hinges, with some minor damage to one hinge area on the inner side of the lid. It's also missing one of it's original back feet. Approx. 2w x 4.5"d x 5"h. Offered with no reserve. Antique Tea Caddy English Victorian Mahogany w/ Antique Glass Bowl
A wonderful example of old Victorian formality. Tea was a treasure and needed a locked box in which to keep it. This example has two removal boxes to store the tea. Both lined with tin. The brass handles on each side are wonderfully bold and look almost like lion heads, however they do need polishing but I was afraid to get polish on the wood. The decorative mosaic wood around the individual tea boxes and the main box are quite lovely although some pieces are missing. You can see that in the pictures. There is also some veneer missing. The glass bowl is quite lovely although there is a tiny chip on the base. The box measures 12" in lenglth and 6" in width and 6" in depth. A lovely example of Victorian times. Antique Victorian S Fielding & Co English Biscuit Barrel Tea Caddy Floral
An absolutely gorgeous example of an antique Victorian Biscuit Barrel. Now that tea isn't such an expensive commodity. This could certainly also be used for a most attractive Tea Caddy. The floral design on this is truly outstanding. The whole piece is further accented by an ornate double gold trim around the top and the bottom. See picture 6 for details of the rim. This piece originally had a handle, but it is now missing. However, that certainly doesn't stop it for being used for its original purpose. Marked S F& Co England with the Crown mark. Antique 19thC English Mahogany Tea Caddy
Measuring 9" wide. 4 1/2" deep and 4" high. There is a small ammount of veneer loss of the bottom right side as pictured. Being over 150 years old is not much to show for such age. This is an unusual grain cut veneer that along with the original lids.A very good example of this type, there is no key but the lid closes sweetly and hinges well. As this Caddy is over 100 years old it will be sent with the correct certification as an antique that has not been altered in anyway as such there will be no customs to pay in the United States. SUPERB 19th C Laquered Chinese Export Tea CADDY~with orig. H2O container NR!
This is a very RARE& UNIQUE Footed Tea Caddy Beautiful hand painted gold scrollwork& original brass hardware. There are a total of 54 decorated"windows" surrounding the entire box and each side of the caddy is adorned with the original hand wrought brass corners. With similiar scroll work as the hand painted gold. On either side are brass hooks that holds the lid up. To create the feeling of a temple. Original pewter water container has both lid and breather cover but the piece that goes underneath the slotted lid is missing. This caddy is in INCREDIBLE shape for its age. The previous owner said this was brought over by her Grandparents in the 20's and cherished behind glass in a curio cabinet ever since. Without the lid it stands 4 1/2h WITH the lid positioned as a temple its 5 1/2 to 6" depending on how you position ... moreit 5 3/4"L& 3"W The lid does have more wear than the rest of the piece. The hardware on the top that covers the holes has found another home elsewhere and the tiny nails that hold the two sides of the lid together are loose but still intact. Please see pics! Also. Which is harder to make than the commonly-seen cylinder form. Four of the six sides on the exterior were hand decorated with boy figures and two were painted with women figures, mothers most likely. The figures were painted in vivid details. There are floral vines on the shoulder. Even the top of the lid was decorated with peony and vines. The pair is in EXCELLENT condition with no chips. One is in PERFECT condition. The other one has a tight old glaze craze from the rim on the lid which is almost invisible. It is measured at about 5 1/2 inch high and 3 3/4 inch at the widest. This is for a nice old Sheffield plate tea caddy from the very early 1800s. It has a classic shape with hinged lid and it shows a very interesting armorial crest on the lid. BEAUTIFUL GEORG JENSEN STERLING SILVER TEA CADDY #1919
This is a stunning sterling silver tea caddy made by the highly regarded silversmith. Georg Jensen. It features a hand-hammered texture on the exterior with a finial circled by beading. A three-lettered monogram is present in the middle of the caddy. Normal surface scratches do exist commensurate with age, but a nice patina still can be seen. Furthermore, there is a very faint gold wash in the interior of the pot to help prevent corrosion. The height of this piece is about 5 1/8 inches with a gross weight of 4.95 troy ounces(including the ivory finial) Great item for Danish silver collectors and Jensen enthusiasts.
