During the nineteenth century. Albany and Troy manufacturers were among the largest producers of cast-iron stoves in the world. Vintage Juwel 34 Brass Camp Stove Made in Germany Here's a Juwel 34 brass camp stove that was made in Germany by Gustav Barthel. The interesting thing about this stove is that it is made of brass. Some had brass and while many were made of steel. The cups and windscreen are made of steel and have a little bit of surface rust. I've never tried to light this stove. So I don't know if it works or not. I hope the next owner will be able to take the time to make that happen. It is well made and very sturdy. The wrench was something I decided to throw in since it fits the stove. Probably near the end of the Primus stove company's run and/or soon after its acquisition by Optimus since Optimus 80 stoves had very similar tins and paint. The cosmetics don't look great but still very restorable. Has soot in the burner and on the bottom. The flame plate is missing from the burner so I don't know if it works. The pot supports are a little loose and the tin has some surface rust. The valve seems to be in working order since it will turn smoothly and firmly. It will probably need a filler cap gasket. Up for bid is a Vintage 1945 WWII Era& USGI Issued Prentiss Waber Model M-1942 U.S. Army Military Camp Stove. It is stamped: PW-1-45/ M-1942-Mod) No Box! I found information stating the stock number was 65-H-2881-888 and also stating"stove/cooking/gasoline/M-1942 modified" The contract was through Prentiss Waber Products Company. Winconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. All of that information would have been on the original box it would have came in in 1945. It retains the original wrench but does not have the aluminum storage canister. This is such a rare and scarce military stove as most of them found today were made by Coleman. It shows normal usage of almost 70 years. It also appears to be complete minus the canister. The legs fold down and the pan supports move up and down depending on weather you are using it or not. The pump is ... morescrewed to the tank and the knob turns freely. It is in the original condition from normal usage by a U.S. Army Soldier during the WW 11. It does have marks and scratches which do not take away from the integrity of it at all.
