Nichols & Stone began making furniture in the 1850s and finally closed up shop around 2008. They have since been reincarnated under the Stickley name and are available again in some limited forms. The piece is made of excellent quarter sawn oak with an old refinish. The chair has excellent form with a bowed arms with slats below. There are also pinned through tenons at the front and corbels underneath. The front seat rail is beveled and arched and there are double pins at the top and bottom. The original spring seat has been professionally recovered with high quality black leather. The piece is unmarked with is by L&JG Stickley#427. This one is a Stickley Brothers#790 rocker. ... moreThis form is very hard to find. We are glad it turned up and we gladly restored it. It is in excellent overall condition. And has very well matched new leather upholstery. The measurements are 36 inches tall, 27 1/2 outside arm, and 16 inches seat to floor. It has a great fumed oak color and grain, retains its brass Quaint Furniture tag. It is in 3 out of 4 known Stickley Brothers catalogs. This would be a welcome addition to any bungalow, mission oak, or Stickley- style household. Also a great chair for someone just starting out, as it is as comfortable as it is useful. The chair has a few dings and scratches and a very small section of the arm that is not perfect, but it is in used, not abused condition. It is sturdy and solid, and lots of life left to offer comfort and enjoyment for years to come. Cool! Antique arts crafts oak fixture or chandelier quarter sawn oak. The shade is approx 18" x 18" square. These parts are for restoration. Older cloth wiring that needs replacement. The square chain could be screwed to the post. Or the post can be unscrewed and the chain could be attached to the ceiling cap. As found. These fixtures usually have a half oak chain link with two screws to screw to a ceiling cap. Easily done by someone handy. Overall in good shape. Slight burn in one corner see photos. Vintage Gustav Stickley Craftsman Furniture Catalog. April 1912, 7 1/8" x 9 1/8" 64 pages. This is the original 1912 catalog, not the reproduction. It contains photos of most of Stickley's iconic Arts and Crafts offerings from the period. There are penciled notations about dimensions and pricing on several pages, as shown in the photos. An illustration of a willow chair or metal lamp has been removed from the catalog on page 61/62, as shown in the photos. All pages are present. Delightfully, a fragment of the original twine that bound the cover and pages is still present and is shown in the photo of page 33. Several interior pages have pulled loose from the staples. Arts and crafts stickley era table lamp german silver? pewter? silver?
Nice accent light in the arts and crafts style. Made of pewter. German silver or silver even! I don't know for certain. It is unmarked as far as I can see. Nice little shade that gives off a good glow. There are some minor ripples to the frame work of the shade, but not bad. There may be an old repair to the lamp, see the close up pics#5,6,and 7. There may be some solder where the lamp might have had a stress crack above the switch. They blend well with the patina and tone of the rest of the lamp but I wanted to mention it. There may also be a slight lean in one direction due to this potential old repair. It's barely noticeable. Measures approx 16" tall. Wire and plug are both in good shape. Antique Jos. Heinrichs Hammered Copper Figural Rabbit Chafing Dish Stickley Era
Here's a Fantastic circa 1910 Antique Chafing Dish Stand with Full Figural Rabbits and made by Joseph Heinrichs. This impressive Arts and Crafts accessory measures approximately 13 and 5/8" in diameter across the wood base. And stands about 11 and 1/2" tall. Made entirely out of heavy guage hammered copper and oak wood, it is very heavy and substantial in both weight and presence. All of the original fittings are present, including both a fluid burner(picture 8) and an electric one(picture 9- I do not have the cord) The chafing dish retains a simply wonderful original patina which is much nicer in person than in the pictures. On the base, there is the stamped signature of Joseph Heinrichs, it is also present on the electric burner. Overall everything is in Very Good Condition; the top handle is somewhat loose, and a small piece ... moreof the inner wood there looks like it was re-glued(picture 5) The wood base has some splits from age, mostly seen from the underside(picture 12) Eleven of the twenty seven rivets which join the wood base to the copper are missing(picture 11) I'm sure you could find a metalsmith to remake them probably in American Bungalow or a similar magazine. California Arts and Crafts Hammered Copper Vase Unsigned- Circa 1910 Reddish-Brown Patina& Four Handles ~ please scroll down for more photos ~ Nice old Arts and Crafts hand hammered Arts and Crafts vase. Circa 1910 and in the style of Dirk Van Erp, but unsigned. Found in Northern California. SIZE: Height- 7.5" Width- 9" Weight- 2 lbs 15 oz. This large arts and crafts copper vase features and outwardly rolled rim. Four applied handles, a classic form and a raised foot. The applied patina is a very nice, rich reddish- Chocolate brown, probably original to the piece(in my opinion) The copper has been beautifully crafted into this difficult shape to form and the maker was obviously no amateur coppersmith. It may have been made by someone who once worked for Van Erp as it has the same type of'spotted' or'dimpled' ... morebottom(see photos) and the hammering style that that many Dirk Van Erp pieces have. Harry Dixon. August Tiesselinck, Agatha Van Erp, and others made pieces similar to this, however I am not able to definitely attribute the piece to a specific maker or individual since it is not signed and I have not seen another just like it. The four handles are unusual and the design may be a clue as to the maker. This piece is in very good condition with some slight wear to the patina. Antique Cigar Humidor Mission Arts Crafts Stickley era mahogany glass lined
This beautiful Mahogany box has a plate on top(untested. But I think silver) that has not been inscribed. It has a period engraved border. The interior is milk glass with no cracks or chips. There a two hinges on the front interior which hold what I think is the'sponge' to maintain humidity. This piece removes and is somewhat crusty or calcified. I haven't attempted to clean it since I'm not sure what the best method would be. Please see the last two pictures. The bottom is a faded green felt. The box measures 11 1/4' wide x 8" deep x 4 1/2" high.

Arts and crafts brass copper mission oak lamp mica shade stickley era
Here is a great arts and crafts or mission style antique table lamp. Nice use of brass straps on the heavy oak base. The shade has a great patina with new mica panels that give a warm soft glow. Some of the brass on the base has once been polished. This is converted from an original oil lamp. Whomever did this incorporated parts of the original oil font. There is some slight damage to the font. See pics. But nothing that effects the operation of the lamp. Cord and plug are in good shape and function properly. The shade measures 15"x15" The lamp has a total height of 22" The brass arms that hold the shade up slide right out of the brass plate on the base. L & J G Stickley drop front desk oak original finish
Up for auction is an authentic L& JG Stickley desk. 613 with a good original finish. This is a beautifully constructed desk with through tenons, figured quartersawn oak and a nice original finish. The desk has not been refinished or otherwise messed with, and I have not even waxed it, so NO briwax, pledge, paste wax, orange oil, Old English, etc. has touched this desk. If you buy it and want me to wax it, I will, but I wanted the future owner to have the option of an unmolested finish. The desk is in very good condition. But still has some damage commensurate with age and use. After a very thorough going over, I have found and/or photographed the following: Loss of finish on the top from a spill and drink ring. That should not show after a good waxing. A small chip on the lower right side of the drawer. A medium-sized chip to the top ... moreleft of the desk drop front and top corner of the desk. A blue stain from writing on the interior of the desk. A long crack on the right side panel of the desk. It also looks like the front of the desk was snapped apart some years back and re-glued using hide glue. The only evidence is a missing screw on the right side of the hinge. And some projection of the interior wood on the dropfront panel. Some tiny flecks of paint and/or finish loss where flecks have been removed. Note: I have been as careful as possible in my description. But please look carefully at all photos and make your own assessment. I'm just a mere mortal and occasionally miss things.I consider this desk to be in very good condition, as good or better than those sold at Treadway or Rago auctions; however, I want to be thorough in letting you know what you are buying. Mission Arts Crafts table lamp copper pierced shade style of Limbert Stickley
Wow! I think this is really cool. Mission Oak arts and crafts table lamp with pierced copper shade of windmill. Lake, boat scene. You can tell by looking at this and the way it was constructed that it was a hand crafted item and probably not something made in factory. Shade is constructed of four copper panels, soldered together with(see photos) pierced scene of Dutch Windmill and boat on lake similar to logo from Limberts of Dutch Arts and Crafts. Oak base is screwed and nailed, two corbels have season cracks but could be reglued, pull sockets are Monowatt, original pull chains, both work but i would rewire. The rug has 100% wool pile that is mostly even-high with a small lower area and minor seam visibility as pointed out in the pictures. The sides and ends are complete and the original fringe is present and in good condition. One corner has a couple minor dots of missing wool and there are two small reddish stains on one border as pointed out in the pictures. Despite these minor drawbacks. The rug is in good overall condition and its issues do not stick out. It features a great Arts& Crafts design and is highly decorative and usable.
