It ... morehas always been in my family. The oldest sibling of my father's family in 1914 or so was the 1st user of this chair. We don't have room for it any more. It measures 25 1/4" high. 21" long rocking legs, 14" long arms with a 12" square seat. The seat cover now is a green velour fabric. Originally there was a leather cover for the seat. Under the seat fabric is a newer piece of wood for its bottom. There is a crack in the back of the chair that is shown in the last photo which does not go all the way through to the front. The piece is made of quarter sawn oak with an old refinish. It has unusual form with desirable bowed arms with through tenons and corbels. The back has thin slats and the piece is pinned at the top and bottom. The upholstery has been professionally redone with high quality black leather and the chair is signed with a metal tag as pictured. This is a beautiful Raised Outline Navajo Weaving T his is a Mission Oak 2-Stack Bookcase. Made by the"F.E. Hale Manufacturing Co. Herkimer. New York) around 1910. The bookcase is made of solid quarter-sawn white oak, and features metal alignment bands on each section. The top section is 12" tall(9 1/2" usable inside) and the bottom sectionis 14" tall(11 1/2" inside) Overall the bookcase is 34" wide, 12" deep, and 40 1/2" tall. The bookcase is in excellent condition. And has been refinished with a warm, dark brown finish. The glass has been replaced, however the hardware is all original. The front and back feature pinned through tenons and the upholstery has been redone in high quality black leather ... morewith brass tacks. The chair is signed with brand and is numbered. The one issue with the chair is a missing section of wood on the front leg. This is not the result of a break but is a seam where two boards were joined. It appears that the glue failed and the piece was lost. A repair is very possible and would likely be invisible if done skillfully. This is a fantastic. Quirky, complex, interesting, impressive and charming hand-thrown porcelain vase by William Clark of Clark House Pottery in Greenville, SC. Artistic in the extreme, it is a sincere and heartfelt homage to the eccentric pottery of the"Mad Potter of Biloxi" George Ohr, whose work is avidly collected and is represented in major museums around the world. Bill has, through painstaking trial and error, rediscovered Ohr's technique for folding, twisting and otherwise manipulating raw clay into shapes of ephemeral delicateness and beauty. for auction is a wonderful solid quartersawn oak roll top desk. this desk has no veneers and the quartersawn oak flake is as good as i have ever seen or owned. an old man. Long dead, who dealt in many many roll top desk told me that if you had a desk with a 5 digit inventory number that is was made by stickley and brandt. at any rate i would stake a good bit on his opinion. the stamped in inventory no. on this desk is 18173. regardless of who made this desk, it is top quality material and workmanship. the desk is 50 inches tall with a s waterfall top with a tambur that rolls and moves with great ease, no stopping, catching, jamming, etc. it rolls like butter. the other dimensions are, it is 50 inches wide and 32 inches deep. the desk top is 30 inches from the floor. it has the original key cover plate and strike plate on the desk top writing ... moresurface. the old lock has lost it's guts so i replaced the lock. anyway the top will lock if you choose to do so. it has a wonderful set of cubbies, complete with two pencil holders, i forgot to open for pictures and one drawer with a carved pull. i expect there may have been another drawer on the other side that has fell by the wayside somewhere and time in the last 120 years. the remainder of the cubby holes are as they should be. they were never designed for drawers and the openings are a good bit smaller than the ones that would accept a drawer. it has 4 drawers of wonderful construction on the left bank of the cabinet portion, most of which contain dividers. the right bank consists of three drawers, the bottom is a double drawer suited for file folders, it has a divider long ways down the center. i also forgot to open the drawers for pictures. i have used the 12 pictures ebay allows, but if anyone want pictures of the inside of the drawers or anything else i will be glad to send them to you. the drawers all have carved pulls in mint condition. underneath the desk top are four scotch and secure blocks which slide into a groove about 1/2 inch below the top part of the

This is approximately 8 1/4" tall x 9 1/4" across(handle to tip of spout) x 4 13/16" across the base. The detail and riveting is spectacular. It does have some small dings on the handle and around the lid(very very minor) a small split at the top of the spout(barely noticeable) and it could use a cleaning. wastepail ITEM: Antique Arts& Crafts Mission Style Waste Basket MEDIUM: Stained wood. APPROXIMATE SIZE: 15 inches tall x 10 inches wide. APPROXIMATE DATE: 1910 MARKINGS: I do not find any markings but there may be glue remnants on the bottom in the shape of what might have been a paper label. Please see images. CONDITION: This pail has a nice aged patina. It was used and does show signs of wear. There is a 2 crack in the bottom of one of the panels but it does not really show unless you look close and does not affect the structural function. It comes from one of the screws that attached the panel to the base and looks like it may have happened when it was screwed together. It also looks like someone put varnish over it which has sealed and protected it. see images) The straps which connect the panels around the top are black and I think ... morevinyl feeling. I imagine these are replacements and it originally had leather. One could easily replace these with leather. NOTES: This is a super nice little waste basket. The design is perfectly proportioned and very satisfying. It is comprised of a 6 sided wooden base with 6 arched top vertical panels that are cut at the sides forming nice cut out shapes when put together. Note the very subtle cut out notch detail in the center of each cut edge. see images) It is stained a dark brown and I dont know what kind of wood it is but think probably oak. It is very well made. I did find one similar one sold on ebay that had a paper label from the Lakeside Craft Shops. I looked for a label on this one and did not find one. But did notice an area on the bottom that may have had a label, see images) The similarities in the pails make me wonder if this also was from the Lakeside Craft Shops. They have an alligator glaze as shown.They are all 3X3 inches and are 1/2 inch thick. They were never used. They have minor wear from being stored together in a box. And they are a little dusty& dirty. I find a few speck size glaze flaws on the sides. These come from a historic Duluth Park Point arts& crafts home that was built in 1910. Beautiful Arts and Crafts Upright Grand Piano Stickley Era
This is a unique and incredibly well-preserved upright grand piano made of quarter-sawn oak in the Arts and Crafts style. Manufactured in 1911 by the Crown Piano Company of Chicago. Illinois, this piano plays well, sounds good and looks fantastic in the bungalow home. Recently tuned, the technician remarked on the good condition of the hammers and inner workings of the instrument. This piano plays in regular fashion, but also has a fourth pedal which can be locked on to produce a"rinky-tink" or saloon style sound. It is NOT a player piano. The piano is extremely heavy(estimate 500-600 lbs. I will deliver to your curb by trailer for an additional fee of $500 over purchase price anywhere west of the Mississippi. Repro GUSTAV STICKLEY SLATTED OAK & WROUGHT IRON WASTEBASKET arts & crafts
Recently crafted reproduction of one of the slatted quartersawn oak and iron wastebaskets that Gustav Stickley produced. This model has 12 slats. Crafted by an expert woodworker/ blacksmith. These are as exact a copy as you will find. As far as I know, I've never seen anyone reproduce this form. I have but a few for sale. The originals sell for appx. $1500-2000. The basket pictured is the one you will receive. Though this wastebasket form looks simple enough. They were actually fairly complicated/ tedious to make. Each of the 12 slats is concave on the inside and convex on the outside. Which required custom knife profiles be made. The slats also taper in width from top to bottom. There are two wrought iron interior bands to which the 3 rivets-per-slat are attached to. These two sizes of iron bands are round in shape but also had to be ... morewrought/tapered to fit the flared shape. You can see the hammer marks of the craftsman on the inside of the rivets and the bands. The iron band s and rivet s w ere then darkened by heat. The bottom is lathe-turned.thinner around the perimeter/ thicker in the middle. And fits into a groove on the inside of the slat near the bottom. The finish is aniline dye fumed oak w/ shellac and lacquer finish. Each slat had to be individually finished before assembly. I've included a pic of the original Gustav Stickley waste basket that was used as the model. Qu ite a lot of work went into th is piece and the results are very nice! Insured shipping is $30.

Antique Hand Embroidered Linen Tablecloth Table Cover Here is a gorgeous hand embroidered table cover tablecloth filled with really incredible hand embroidery needlework. The table cover has an Stickley. Arts and Craft Deco look to it with a floral design done in embroidery floss. The square table cover embroidery floss colors are red. Yellow, green and black. The table cover is nicely finished with a scallop finish on the outer edges. Table Doily cover measurements: 24” x 24” approximately. Tablecloth condition: Good pre-owned condition with some imperfections. There are 11 small spots where the red embroidery thread on the outer scallop edges is missing. I have purchased red embroidery thread and am including the embroidery floss with purchase should the buyer wish to repair it in the future(see photos 6 and 7) The shade of green embroidery ... morefloss is an olive green front side and a darker green on the reverse side(see photos 11 and 12) On the reverse side you can see that there has been color bleeding to the green floss. I did not find this to be noticeable on the front side of the table doily cover. The tablecloth is in"as found" condition and I have not cleaned the table cloth because of the mends required. Up for bidding is an extremely nice example of a solid brass Mission Style/ Arts and Crafts Style Grandfather Clock/ Floor Clock. No makers name on this. It could be for a Gilbert. Roycroft or Stickley, I just do not know. The dial is backed by a 3/8" oak veneered board. The dial is held in place by 32 brass tacks. The numbers are recessed and are filled with what I believe to be black wax. I may be wrong on that! There are a few very small flakes off of a few of the numbers, mostly at the very points of the numbers. The dial has a very nice patina and has never been polished by me. The dial measurements are as follows. The dial itself is 11 7/8" across the face 9- 3. 12" top to bottom- 6-12. The dial and the backboard together is 12 7/8"x 12 7/8" 3/8" in thickness/ with the board. The winding holes are 3 1/8" ... morefrom the CENTER of one hole to the CENTER of the other. Arts & Crafts Mission Stickley Era Pillow Sham Cover - Linen - Roycroft?
You don't find Arts& Crafts era items in linens often and this caught me by surprise. From the estate of an 87 year old lady and in a box of linens handed down thru her family was this nice Stickley era pillow sham or cover. It is made of a heavier weave linen and is a'beigey-tan' color. It appears to have a lot of handwork involved. It measures 17 1/2" top to bottom and 22" wide without the fringe. So it will slip over any pillow within these confines. The fringe on each end measures 4" and is hand applied and hand-knotted in a pretty pattern. The fringe is nice and clean and not tangled. The front has an appliqued handmade filet lace pattern over a dark emerald green sateen looking fabric. Perfect colors for that era. The back is plain. This table has six decorative tiles.the design is a scenice landscape of one of the California Missions.I believe it is the San Jaun Capistrano Mission. Tiles are in very fine condition.no damage.cracks. Chips, etc. Table is in good shape and is solid. The finish has some uneven/ worn areas and has been previously overcoated. See photos. Stickley Harvey Ellis Bed. The Size is a queen. The wood is oak and the finish is 032 Onondaga The dimensions are H59 1/2 W64 L87 The bed is in very good condition. The only this is the back of the headboard has some sun damage that you can see in the eighth picture. Other that that it seems good. Feel free to ask questions or to come see.
