I tried to capture it in the photo but the T is faint. This bracelet is pre 1939 or between 1945- 1949. It is 1.5 inches wide and measures a smidge over 8 inches. It weighs 2.4 ounces. On the front of the bodkin is a monogram with M E H. On the reverse side is stamped with company logo and Sterling mark and I did try to find who the marking was from but had no luck. The maker mark is a type of shield with a fancy S in the center. The bodkin measures 2 ¾” long by 13/16” at the wide end. With the clean lines and cool design for which the very best Scandinavian jewelry is known. This sculptural Georg Jensen brooch is by the acclaimed husband and wife team of Nanna and Jorgen Ditzel and is in Excellent vintage condition. Representing an oyster shell(or clam or other mollusk) with a black onyx"pearl, it has a very sensual curving form. The brooch was offered without the stone element as well, but in my opinion, the"pearl" makes all the difference. And placing the black bead off-center was an inspired design decision that adds dimension, contrast, texture, interest and of course, color. And I note there is a photo of this pin, but with a pearl, not onyx, on page 236 of Warman's Jewelry. 3rd Ed. which Romero dates as c. 1955-60. Measuring a little over 2" by 1-5/8" by over 1/2" deep. It looks good in any direction in which you care to pin it(as I have tried to show in the photos. Over half a century old. It is in Excellent vintage condition with nothing more than expected surface scratches and tarnish. It has a lovely vintage patina; cleaning and polishing are left to the buyer's discretion. SIGNED GEORG JENSEN DENMARK ANTIQUE STERLING SILVER ORCHID FLOWER PEARL PIN
This unusual antique sterling silver orchid flower with genuine pearl pin is signed GEORG JENSEN in a dotted circle. It also has the GJ hallmark. Both of these hallmarks are a little bit covered by the clasp. This pin is a mystery because it is a design I have not been able to find. I wrote to a Georg Jensen expert in Denmark. She was not familiar with the design either and thought it could be a very early piece. But wasn't sure. Measures 1-3/8" by 1-1/2" Has a secure closing pin back with a safety catch. There is a circle in the very center of the back of the pin which leads me to believe that it may originally have been made as a custom designed hat pin and possibly later converted into a pin.
