This sideboard has amazing carved details on the embossed panels, and is very majestic, while being delicate and ornate at the same time. There are a few of the little decorative finial pieces that are loose. The key is intact with the piece. The piece has adjustable shelves on the top cabinet, and more shelving in the bottom section. This can be seen in the photos. The top piece by itself is 39” tall, and the bottom is 55" tall, making the piece an incredible 94" tall total.

Measurements are as follows: 84"W x ... more69"T X 24"D. Weight: approx. 150-200lbs. There are a couple of small trim pieces where the backsplash meets the base that are missing, a couple that are loose. The top section of the backsplash has seperated and a couple small pieces of carved trimwork are missing as a result(can be seen in the pics) There is a small a chip on the front left edge of the table surface. One of the locks is missing from one of the doors and there is a stain on the top that can be clearly seen in the photo. Im sure there are other bumps/bruises but nothing glaring. All that having been said, this piece is really stunning in person and all of the condition issues are fairly simple repairs. The flaws I mentioned are only noticed upon close scrutiny and have never been pointed out to me by anyone who has seen it in person. Original finish is in good shape, just as it appears in the photos. The color, in person, is probably somewhere between the lightest and darkest photos. The carving on this piece is AWESOME! The quartersawn grain is heavy and pronounced. Bought this piece and the matching server, which I will be listing soon) to restore but I am out of time/space. I feel I have a reasonable opening bid on this piece but if it does not sell, I will restore it and the price will go up considerably. Personally, im kinda getting burned out on the figurals and winged griffins that usually adorn pieces of this quality so its nice to see a great piece without that typical subject matter. Liberty & Co. Arts & Crafts Sideboard, Mission/Stickley era. Original Finish
The sideboard is in original finish with the exception of the top surface of the lower section(shown in the first two photos below) The top was badly stained. Both water stains and ink, that I removed the original shellac finish and bleached out the stains. It was restained with a golden oak stain and refinished with several coats of clear shellac and then waxed with a golden oak Bri-wax. The cabinet is made from either white oak or possibly English brown oak. Since we did not sand any of the wood down to bare wood it is hard to tell. I do know it is not red oak based on the grain structure of the flake. The base cabinet is 43" wide by 37-1/8" high by 20-7/8" deep. The two drawers are 19-1/4" wide and 18" deep. The cubby is 19-1/2" wide and 20-1/2" deep by 8-1/4" high. The door is 19-1/2" wide ... moreby 24-3/8 high. The mirror is 35-1/2" by 17-1/2" Overall the top is 61-3/4" wide. 10-5/8" deep by 27-7/8" high. The total height is 65" Both drawer pulls are the same. The door pull may not be the original pull. The lock and key are old but not original to the cabinet. Drawers are of dovetail construction. Ends are made from flat sawn white or English brown oak. There are inlaid flowers above the candle stands on either side of the mirror. The inlays are 1-1/2" by 8" The candle shelves are 6-3/4" square with a clipped corner. 11

This is a 1920's era Rare Australian Goldfield Burled French Marble Top Sideboard with Curio Top. This unusual Sideboard is in its original finish. And still retains its beautiful warm patina. Loaded with Burled and Pencil Point Inlay, this sideboard also has Solid Brass Ormaloo Decoration, Gold Toned Ornamentation and the Original Brass Hardware. We believe the origin of this piece to be French- although it is not marked, but with the level of decoration and craftsmanship and the exotic veneers used, we are fairly confident. The top curio has its original beveled glass curio sides and center beveled mirrored back. The curio doors have a working lock with key. There is a very fine scratch on the top of the left side curio glass door, and 3 small spots of silvering on the beveled part of the center mirror. It is French from the 1880's- 1920(French revival period? It is solid oak or walnut It has brass hardware Also noted is that there are no known problems with the piece- nothing on it is broken. One key is included The hutch is 8 ft high. 21" deep, and 57" wide at the widest The bottom part is 36" high by 52" wide There is one shelf inside the bottom part and then the bottom shelf. It measures 15 1/2" deep The top part is 51" high by 52" wide. The top part has 2 shelves inside plus the bottom. These shelves measure 9" deep. Outstanding! Beautifully Carved, Quarter Sawn Oak, RJ Horner Sideboard Must See!
Beautiful. Heavily flaked quarter sawn oak sideboard in the manner of RJ Horner. Pics tell most of the story. Measurements are as follows: 84"W x 69"T X 24"D. Weight: approx. 150-200lbs. There are a couple of small trim pieces where the backsplash meets the base that are missing, a couple that are loose. The top section of the backsplash has seperated and a couple small pieces of carved trimwork are missing as a result(can be seen in the pics) There is a small a chip on the front left edge of the table surface. One of the locks is missing from one of the doors and there is a stain on the top that can be clearly seen in the photo. Im sure there are other bumps/bruises but nothing glaring. All that having been said, this piece is really stunning in person and all of the condition issues are fairly simple repairs. The flaws I ... morementioned are only noticed upon close scrutiny and have never been pointed out to me by anyone who has seen it in person. Original finish is in good shape, just as it appears in the photos. The color, in person, is probably somewhere between the lightest and darkest photos. The carving on this piece is AWESOME! Solid/Veneer Mahogany Huntboard/Sideboard, Custom Made, Very Good to Excellent
Here is a custom-made(bench-made) mahogany huntboard/sideboard in a rich. Dark mahogany finish. The piece is very well made, with a panel on each end and lovely trifid feet on the front. The piece is 66" long, 21" deep, and 33" high. It has been well cared for, but a small chip in the veneer at the left front corner has been repaired; a real woodworker could make it virtually invisible. In the center on the right side, there is a tiny chip in the veneer. The finish on this piece is very fine-not furniture-store or piano-top slick, but handrubbed to show the grain of the wood. Please note the fine banding on the drawer fronts. I hate to part with this piece. But it's too large for my space. I'm not equipped to ship it, but TSC Movers(tscmoving.com) will give a fair price for shipping. It is 73" wide by 28" deep by 37" high. The finish is in good condition, old, but not original, and it is slightly sun-bleached. The hardware(not original but very cool) is unusual, being bronzed satyr heads with ring pulls. The locks are all intact but there is no key. The top has been all re-sprayed ... moreand refinished to remove the nicks and dings and to highlight the gorgeous grains of the mahogany used. And the front has been re-sprayed over the old varnished finish to brighten up the wood on the flame mahogany fronts that are so stunning in person. The legs are all fluted and have the old crackled aged finish that add character. It has paneled sides and even fluted legs in the back. Nice art deco vintage sideboard purchased used in 1987 and cared for in a non-smoking home. Convex and concave design lines. With an interesting, open, curved base. This is a solid piece that has 4 drawers, and 2 cupboards. Top has some wear and some veneer loss- see pic 7. The top drawer has 2 sections and is lined in green felt. Cabinets have a shelf, one of which needs to be re-secured. Knobs are metal. One is off and is in the drawer, but it's missing the escutcheon. Made by Beautility. Offered for sale is a Beautiful French Cherry Antique Server/Buffet/Sideboard. This sideboard features beautifully hand-carved details. Four dove-tailed drawers and four doors each with 2 adjustable shelves and scroll feet. The hardware is solid brass and the cherry grain is gorgeous. The drawers include mahogany and ash wood. This sideboard measures 41" high x 87 1/2" wide x 21" deep. The cabinet has locks, but we do not have the key. The sideboard is in excellent overall condition with light scratches on the top surface(see pics#5, 6) It appears a prior owner sanded the top very smooth but did not refinish the top with varnish. The back of the sideboard does not have any manufacturer's signature. From the research we conducted on the piece, we learned that this was common with most French pieces from the 19th century. ... moreMany of them did not include a makers/manufacturer's signatures or markings. We purchased it from Belgium and it is made from oak. We have professionally stripped and painted it in a lovely off white french grey farrow and ball paint. Rubbed over the edges and waxed it giving it a stunning patina. It would look well in an old or modern property amongst similar painted furniture almost in any downstairs room. The sideboard stands on small queen ann style cabriole feet supporting the main section where there is a carved frill to the bottom. There are two large doors eitherside of an open section and a shelf with two drawers to the ... morebottom. The doors are beautifully shaped with a carving to the top. To the centre there is the open section with bow fronted drawers to the bottom. We have left the key escutcheons in their natural iron work so they contrast beautifully with the paint. The top has a rounded bull nosed edge and we have left this natural with a parque top. The height is 102cm. The width is 140cm and the depth is 54cm.
