There are a good amount of light ... moresurface scratches to the finish, as well as water rings and some staining on the finish. The credenza has a slight serpentine shape, and paneled doors on each end with an attractive curving style. The crendenza has five (5) drawers, one of which has dividers built-in for flatware, and two (2) doors, that each open into large storage compartments with plenty of space and adjustable shelves in each. The crendenza has short curved legs. There are some small areas of veneer loss on the front of the piece, and these areas can be seen in the photos. There are some stains inside the drawers, which have dovetail joints. I am unsure of its age or manufacture of the piece.

Circa 1960 Mahogany with gorgeous inlays Distressing to top Locking doors and drawer Sturdy. Excellent condition, This lovely serpentine sideboard was originally crafted in England around 1960. The wood is a brilliant mahogany which has developed a rich patina over the years. It boasts a lovely grain with some very impressive lighter tones. The mahogany is also complimented by satinwood string inlay. Mahogany cross banding, and a Georgian style satinwood fan inlay. These inlays are present on the top, cabinet doors and upper drawer. The central inlay on the top is by far the most impressive. Each of the cabinets of this sideboard features working locks and the right cabinet has a removable wooden shelf. The upper central drawer also has a working lock. And the piece comes with one key. The hardware on the drawer and cabinets is solid brass that also goes with the mahogany quite well. The six legs of this sideboard are all square and tapered, and have spade feet. Overall. The condition of this piece is excellent. There are slight, dark marks to the top which appear to be intentional distressing done by the maker. The beautify of the mahogany wood combined with the serpentine shape and well used inlay is what really draws your eye, making this sideboard an excellent piece for an area where you want people to really see it. For example it would work well not only in a dining room, but also in a foyer, or often traveled hallway. It is a mission arts/crafts style and has a beveled mirror on backsplash. This buffet sideboards measures 48" W x 38" H x 21" D- the backsplash adds another 12 1/2" H to the back of the buffet. This piece is in pretty good condition for its age. But does have some cracking/chipping in a couple of spots- particularly one door is cracked. There is also a wet ring stain(see picture) presumably from someone putting a glass down on the wood. A lion-motif pediment was added to the top of the mirrored gallery. Barley-twist column supports flank a 3-section vitrine of beveled mirror and glass. The mirror and glass is original and in excellent condition. Underneath the gallery is an open area with double-turned column supports. The gallery is set upon a single base of carved oak possessing 3 rectangular drawers(the centermost is partitioned inside for holding silverware) and 3 paneled cabinet doors. Plus one long rectangular drawer along the base. ... moreThe drawers flanked by barley rope twist columns; the drawers themselves possess decorative carvings and possess their original brass bail handles with embossed heads in relief. HELLO AND WELCOME You are viewing a stunning Danish Modern 2 piece credenza by Clausen& Sons for Silkeborg Made in Denmark The credenza has three sliding panels that open to reveal two shelves in each section for a total of six shelves inside the bottom plus a very nice sliding drawer lined in green felt material. The top section has four long and lean shelves with 2-lights behind each section- plug in type. It takes the tiny blubs which I just put in two new ones for you. The glass is a smoked brown tinted glass with indent handles that slide on a track. The teak veneer is very beautiful and rich in color. This is a very strong. Solid and heavy Credenza! The back of the 2 pieces is fine- I just could not move it by myself to take a picture.
