They are designed with a branch with seen leaves each making up the bobeche below the candle holder and leaves and flowing scroll work. They are a wonderful large heavy solid pair being approx. 5 lbs each( for t otal 10 lb weight) and measuring 23.5" tall x 10.5" wide x 7" deep. They are VG+ preowned condition. If you like French then these vintage wall sconces are for you- this is a pair of brass 3 arm wall sconces with handpainted Sevres style medallions depicting a courting couple. The brass has a nice aged patina. At the top the brass is a basket of flowers then they have criss cross pattern that continues down to the arms of candleholders. The medallions are on each arm so 6 total-the brass work around the arms are very ornate and very much in the French style. They are in great shape-there is some residue from candle wax(last picture) which I am sure can be removed. Pair of Vintage-Old Solid Brass Single Light Wall Sconces, Here's a nice old pair of solid brass wall sconces with each having a single light. They measure 9" high and 3 3/4" across the back plate. Only the one has some wire coming out the back and a socket but no button or pull chain to turn it on. we did not see this working. Both need total rewiring. Both do not have the back screw piece that would attach these to the wall. Both have scratches and need polishing. Even though we wiped these off. They still have a dirty feel to them so when polishing-refurbishing them, that should hopefully take that film off of them! Here is a very unique pair of Wall light sconces. They are Black metal with mesh holders and a geometric design. Very Mid- Century. They both work and the cord is intact. There is a smidgen of rust on both, but in overall good condtion. I don't know old they are, but I can tell you after all these years of collecting, I have never seen another pair like it and I don't know what goes in the holders if anything. They have their original molded frosted glass shades featuring a pine cone motif and are marked"Paris Star Lighting Depose" The bronze sconce holders complement the shades with a similar design along the rims. One glass shade is in excellent condition. The other glass is in 2 pieces. A clean split from an accident. Item description: This is a vintage pair of goldtone metal and wood wall sconces with white hobnail shades. Each measures approx 10" tall and projects out from the wall approx 7" The wall plate is 5" in diameter and has some old paint residue around the rims. These are hardwire and have their original wiring which is untested and will most likely need to be replaced. One of the sconces is missing the switch as well as the wiring for the switch. Metal is a brushed antique brass color- there are some small scratches in the finish. The wood on one of the sconces has a small discolored area- possibly a ding- which will need to be touched up with a stain stick. SOUTHWEST DECO KACHINA WALL SCONCES- SIGNED Pair of decorative half-round ceramic“Southwestern Deco” wall sconces. Each with a figure of an Indian warrior kachina. Both are signed with the artist’s initials EG, on the lower left of each piece. The turquoise. Brown, and black design is incised and painted onto the white surface, and under a high glaze. There are cut-out openings in the feather headdress, the eyes, skirt, and triangular designs going out from the figure, which the light shines through. The sconces are enclosed at the top, but open at the bottom to let the light shine out. Also, they are painted a bright orange inside which adds beautiful color to the light that shines through. Each is 7 ¾” tall; 4” deep; 5 ¼” wide. Are wired for electricity. They have the very old style of fabric-wrapped wiring, which can be replaced ... moreand easily rewired to fit modern fixtures. These were apparently removed from an old Southwestern deco building in Santa Fe or Albuquerque. New Mexico. NM”as embossed on the back of each piece. Mint condition. These are two very old electric candle wall sconces. Probably made between 1900 and 1920's. The inner cardboard inside the candle outer board says P& S patented. 250 W, 250V and I have shown a picture of the inner workings. Plates are 4 1/2" in diameter; sconce about 5" from the wall and 7 1/2" from top to bottom. These sconces are a restorer's dream! They have a metal backing which with the easily pealing paint looks possibly bronze; seems too lightweight for brass. It appears in very good condition where paint has pealed. I think carved wood connects backing to electric candle holder but could be metal. Both chains are present although only one presently works. JGB Co 1954 Cast Iron Roses w Sconces Candle Lights Wall Hanging ShaBBy Fixture
I found this very unusual combination of cast iron and lighting at an estate sale. The octagon plaque is app. 15" In the center is a beautiful signed heavy cast iron roses design. The scones look like wrought iron. The candles are made of some kind of celluloid or plastic. One of them has a chip on the top but can be turned to face the back. The paint is peeling but can easily be redone. There is a heavy 3 ft iron chain and a 7&1/2" cord. I'm not sure if it was made like this or the previous owner attached the wrought iron candelabras and the gorgeous signed cast iron roses to a wooden plaque. It has a bronze look to it. The center is beautifully done with a raised center surrounded by a wreath of shells and flowers and a backplate that is scrolls. the top is a ribbon bow and down approximately 4" from the top is a criss cross of the ribbon. The tassels on the bottom are nice. This will hold 2 approx. a 1" candles. It would look lovely in a foyer or living room. It is truly an eye catching elegant piece. I see it is still a bit dusty. Antique Architectual Pair Wall Sconces Unique, Gothic, Steampunk great patina!
I found these at an estate sale a few years back with the intent of repurposing them. But after looking at them more closely, I decided they should remain intact. The brackets are wrought iron and the metal could be bronze, copper or tin. I really don't know. The metal is light. They have a floral pattern on them and the patina is very nice on the outside so I never tried to clean them up. The inside shows rust(no holes) and some candle wax. These had some other fixture on them at one time. There is a bracket on one side that something would clamp into and the opposite side has a bracket with a small hole in it. I show pictures of these. They are not electrical and I cannot find a maker's name on them. The wrought iron brackets are 4 3/4" long and 6 1/2" wide. The metal shades are 6" round and 3" tall. Round metal where socket is measures just a tad under 5" in diameter. One of the wall sections has the outer portion pulling loose a bit on one sconce. These would obviously need new wiring as these are very old. There is paint missing all over both sconces. I'm sure they could be repainted. Both of the sconces have three holes with screw like pieces. Both have one of the screw like pieces missing. VINTAGE CHIC CARVED WOOD SCONCES SHELVES BRACKETS SHABBY CREAM GOLD ANTIQUE
For your consideration we have a pair of VINTAGE CARVED WOODEN SHELVES/SCONCES These shelves are in nice vintage condition. They measure 6" tall. 4 3/4" wide and 2 5/8" deep. They are cream colored with gold accents and each have 2 hangers on back. They do have some paint chipping and discoloration which may or may not be removed with a good cleaning. We cleaned the tops a little and some of the discoloration came off so it may just be a buildup of grime. These were acquired at an estate sale in a very old house. Overall these vintage shelves are very nice pieces. Unique and interesting! We try very hard to describe our items as accurately as possible. However we are not experts. GORGEOUS PAIR OF BRASS? SCONCES I think these are made of brass. They have a nice weight to them. They have gorgeous putti angels inside with a dog, and barbola roses and the tops have bows and tassels at the bottom. They are in good vintage condition, one arm has a tiny bent mark in it, I show in photo number 10, its minor but there. Very pretty, not sure if they work but wiring is there and it doesnt look that old. Not sure on age or origin but I dont think these are new. Measure: about 16" long x about 8.5" wide at arms and stand a little under 5" from wall. up for your consideration is a PAIR(that's 2. TWO, Deux, Dos, Due, Zwei, Twee) of twin arm cast iron wall sconces Pictured above. Each one has a different photography background so you can tell them apart they were made by LAPCO presumbably in the nineteen twenties. on the backside it reads LAPCO 1849 These do need restoration but the bones are great. They each have a large bolt in the middle. All of the old cloth wiring is present but so not safe: yes. Someone painted them) they are in need of rewiring and are missing their candle covers but they would be gorgeous when they are done. They would be hardwired into your home. Hi. Here is a great pair of antique/vintage wall sconces, each one in the shape of a Temple Menorah with 7 arms, they would look amazing on any wall, the wiring is original so i would have it checked with an electrition, but it is all there, all original. i did not polish the brass so it is in old patina finish. The menorah part is all brass, the backplate is metal that has been gilded. the turn on and off switch is on the back plate and there are two holes for mounting to the wall. the wiring, like i said is all there from all 7 lights to the back. the pair are big measuring 14 3/4 inches long and 11 inches wide at the widest point.the sconces the backplate measures 5" round and are 6.5 inches deep, that means when mounted on the wall they protrude 6.5 inches from the wall. great for lighting a special spot. And with 7 small candelabra ... morebulbs, you will have a great look on the wall. they have an old look. With nice detailing on the front the brass is worn as is the back plate, you can polish up or use as they are. the candlestick parts are covered with white candle covers, and all the insides are there. i have not lit them, i would check with electrition or good handy man before using them. they are as found in an estate. They were stored in the attic for many years, ok the history of them is this, one member of the family said they were in their grandmother's home in the study over the grandfather's desk area, and that they were there for over 80 years, the other family member said that the family story was that they belonged to an older family relative who was a Rabbi and very learned, and he gave them to the grandfather, that is all I know about them, I purchased them a number of years ago and have stored them but never used them. so here they are to sell and find a new home. if you have any other questions email them to me before bidding. thanks so much.
