Came from an estate where they traveled extensively in Japan. The pictures just do not do this justice. I have looked at this sampler many times and every time I do I see something different in the picture. Mounted under glass with a black frame and finished on the back with paper to protect the needlework. The paper has been torn in places(which can be redone if you wish) and is ready to hang. Up for auction is my Roland S-770 sampler. This unit has some cool history to it! It was owned by"Williams Electronics" who made video games in the 70's and 80's. You can still see the Williams sticker on the back side lower left of the s-770. Williams bought out Midway Games in the late 80's. Midway used this unit during the making of"Mortal Kombat 3" In fact a few of the sample cartridges used in the game are included in this auction. I only used this as a drum sampler and it worked and sounded great. I did not used many of the other features. I had this plugged in to a monitor since the screen can be hard to read. VINTAGE SMALL SAMPLER ALPHABET ca.1881 HOLLAND Up for sale is a framed Vintage Sampler dated 1881. The small sampler measures 7 inches by 7 inches. It has been professionally framed and the gold frame measures 12 inches long and 11 inches wide. As you can see in the photos. The handwork is multi-colored and features the alphabet- both capitals and lower case and numbers to 9. It has been signed H. Lomax and dated 1881. I purchased this sampler from an antique buyer who found it in Holland. It is in good condition with some fading of the pink and yellow letters. I had it framed with archival glass that would prevent further fading. This handmade sampler would be eye-catching in a collection of vintage needlework. It is hard to believe that it is 131 years old!

This is a very pretty antique Scottish alphabet sampler. Showing letters and number, embroidered in red and green stitches. At the bottom there are two very cute flowers, probably Scottish thistles. The sampler was made by a six year old girl named Margaret Newlands. It probably dates from circa 1830. As on this page there is a Margaret Newlands born on August 26. 1824: It measures approximately 8 x 17 1/4 inches or 20.5 x 44 cm. The sampler is in good condition. Considering its age. If you are reading this you know what it is. No computer software virtual instrument or sound card can sound as big. Fat, punchy, crunchy, charming and characteristic as the real thing. The magic is in the D/A converters and the analog filters. If you have never heard one before, it sounds awesome, very similar to the SP-12 sound engine. Good Working Condition- History Everything works as it should. The knobs. Sliders and buttons respond great and the front panel is clean. All the keys on the keyboard work. The LCD is great, but the back light is dim, if you setup a light the right way, you will be good. I hate to sell it, but I already had another one when I bought this one back in 1998. I really got it to have it as a spare backup, so I didn't use it very much at all and it is exactly the way it was when I first bought it. Füllt ganze Bücher und wird hier nicht alles genannt. Ich gebe eine kurze Zusammenfassung in Englisch am Ende. Eine Bedienungsanleitung auf CD wird mitgeliefert. Das Gerät ist von einem Hobbymusiker der das Gerät nie in ein Rack eingebaut hat und nur zu Heimaufnahmen sporadisch in einer heim Musikanlage benutzt zum Komponieren und Effekte ausprobieren. Ich habe das Gerät eingeschaltet und man konnte alles möglich einstellen. Aufrufen und programmieren, alle Tasten hatten Funktion und alle Einstellungen funktionierten– mehr konnte ich nicht testen– ... morescheint aber alles zu funktionieren. Ich gehe also davon aus das das Gerät voll funktionstüchtig ist. Da auch der Vorbesitzer es bis zuletzt noch benutzt hatte. Zustand des Gerätes ist gut bis sehr gut. See my video below showing the unit recently in action proving that it works great. It works like NEW however there is little to no on-screen movement with the effect"3" knob. I never used the effects much. I mostly exported to Pro Tools/Logic and mixed down my productions there. Effect knobs 1 and 2 automatically adjust the effect 3 parameter anyway, so it's not really an issue. But other than that the machine is"Like New" condition, outputs and inputs are CLEAN, no static in the volume knob, pads feel like they did when I bought it. I honestly only used it like 10 times before I switched to software, but I do miss that analog THUMP! There are a few very small scratches ... moreon the unit but nothing really noticable(mostly on the sides of the unit) Memory card is NOT INCLUDED. But you can get them very cheap nowadays(under $10) and the internal memory is more than enough to make some insane tracks. Screen is perfect. Only 12.000 were made. Great bargain buy and excellent edition to any vintage recording collection. The S612 was one of Akai's first professional rack-mount samplers. Released back in 1985. Some of its features included 12-bit sampling from 4 to 32kHz with loop and truncate functions. An overdub function and mic or line input jacks. Internal memory is only 128KB which gives a maximum of 8 seconds sampling time at the lowest sampling rate available. An optional disk drive that features the quick disk(QD) 2.8 inch format is needed for permanent storage of samples. Only one sample is stored to each side of the disk. Early Victorian needlepoint of a spaniel standing in a landscape. There are buildings in the distance to the left and the spaniel has her head turned back, presumably looking at her mistress. The woolwork is very well preserved; the background is left unworked as was usually the case with these needlepoint dog portraits. I would date the sampler to the mid-19th century, circa 1840's-1850's. Quite large and heavy. The total framed size measures ~15" x 17.5" It is housed behind glass in a period, possibly original, rosewood veneer frame with narrow inner gilt liner.
