This is an Antique Vintage Handmade Six Large Block Sampler Quilt Top for your consideration. I ADORE the beautiful colors and the outstanding workmanship on this beauty! It is entirely done by hand stitching and without the use of a sewing machine. Notice the Mitered corners! There is a picture of the reserve side viewing the tiny stitches used to put this together. The Quilt Block are all pieced and are framed with a floral running print that complements the pieced blocks. The Blue then surrounds the blocks and finishes the quilt with complementary colors all blending seamlessly forming an Eye Dazzling Quilt. The Quilt would be a perfect size for a wall hanging. Central Red fabric framing the feather star is deep rich turkey red as shown in close up. The wonderful early fabrics can be dated out of Eileen Jahnke Trestain's book on antique fabrics. Here is a great vintage hand appliqued floral sampler with a flower basket(great for Easter. May day or Mother's day! and lots of other great flowers: Red poppies, sunflowers, potted tulips, black eyed susan, blue bells. Just as cute as can be. All hand appliqued and button hole stitched by hand. 17" blocks, 15 different flowers. Great condition with just ony tiny spot by a leaf as shown in pic 5. Blocks are machine pieced. Muslin is free of foxing. This top has been properly stored for decades. It just tops a double bed at 52" x 90" and can easily have a border added. Its a gem!

This unit is in good working condition. There are a couple light scratches on the casing(mainly on armrest) and there are some light surface scratches on the screen from normal use. But overall this is in great shape cosmetically. The scratches in the screen are bareley noticeable ... morewhen the screen is lit up. The very bottom metal panel of the unit was somehow splashed by a little bit of water. This left some light water spots on the exterior side of this panel. I took off this panel to inspect the inside for any water damage, but there is none found. All of the pads and knobs are in excellent condition but the Q9 and Q10 knobs are missing. This comes exactly as shown and includes one power cord only. There are no other cables included and this does not have the optional CD drive installed in front. Version: 2.00; Memory: 64MB. Very Unusual Early ANTIQUE Young Girl's Embroidered Practice Sampler D ESCRIPTION: Scans show it all.Original antique young girl's sampler. Done about 1820 based on the homespun material and the look of the letters. This has the complete alphabet in capital cursive letters. Then quite a bit of other individual practice letters. A flower, some underlining work, and even a 4" long piece of very fancy, very wide, very colorful border. Letters are done in several colors, like she was trying to decide which looked best. I believe this was her first"practice" sampler. I have seen small simple samplers done for this purpose, typically called primers, but not one like this. So. A very early, very unusual framed sampler, 8 1/2" x 6 1/2" Hemmed on all sides. Has some wear to some of the letters and work, but generally ... moreshows its age well. Overall, not too bad considering it is almost 200 years old! A nice early framed example, for your collection or to hang on the wall, without having to spend an arm and a leg. Showing letters, the phrase'God is love' religious crosses, birds, a squirrel and flower vases, embroidered in multicolored stitches. The sampler is signed'Worked By Lizzie Tyler' and very probably dates from the late 19th century. It was made somewhere in the UK. It measures approximately 10 x 16 1/4 inches or 25.5 x 41 cm. The sampler is in good condition. Considering its age. The embroidery has some small loose threads and the fabric is a little bit discolored and has some spots on it. We did a little bit a research and it looks like the Family was from the Cape Cod Massachusetts area. It measures approximatelt 10 1/2 by 8 1/2 inches to the outside of the frame. It has a wonderful early Folk Art look, and is quite unique. The over all condition is fair. It does show some water damage to the paper. Since the paper is brown, it does not show terribly bad. It actually displays quite well, and would make a fine addition to any collection. A small antique redwork school sampler sampler. Embroidered on linen with red linen thread. It was embroidered by a young Dorset school teacher, Bessie Haines, in 1905 when she was 19. This may have been made as an example to show her employers, or for her pupils to copy. I have found Bessie on the 1901 census, aged 15 living in Netherbury, near Beaminster, Dorset, already a school teacher in a National School- on the 1911 census she was still a teacher. It is in good condition and measures 8.75 by 9.25 inches(22 by 24 cm. The photos can be enlarged for more detail. I guarantee that this is a genuine antique sampler. Unsual Practice Sampler Dated 1888 This measures about 14.5 x 24 inches fully opened. The design area is 13.5 x 18.5 inches. One-half of one side of border was never finished. I believe this was done by a boy. Jameson Dixon. I have no idea what"AM stands for. This sampler would look great displayed on a dresser or a table. The needlework measures about 9.5" x 8" with a total framed size of about 13.5" x 11.75" The needlepoint sampler would date mid-19th century. Circa 1850. The needlepoint is in very good antique condition with excellent color; the background has not been left blank as it is so often but fully stitched in shades of green. The portrait of the spaniel. Probably a Springer, is expressive and very well done; nicely contrasting with the background. The frame is a wide folksy softwood with an inward canting profile. The finish is nicely dry and crackled. Possibly old paint- depending on the lighting I see shades ... moreof red or ochre at different times. See close-ups for the corner joinery- not a simple mitre joint. The frame retains its glass and wooden backboard and is either original to the sampler or of the period. O ffered here is a circa1900 Germantown Navaho weaving that measures 1 feet 5 inches long by 1 foot 6 inches wide or 17” x 18” and is in good condition. It was handwoven by an expert weaver on a primitive upright loom of all commercial 4-ply Germantown wool yarns on a cotton warp. The design here is a central concentric serrate diamond motif on the steel grey field. Sold“as is” with No Reserve. W e obtained this vintage Native American textile on a rug hunt in Arizona just to offer you here on eBay. It has a fine. Even weft count averaging 34 per inch and a fine warp count of 10 per inch. The selvage cords have 1” missing on one end and 1 1/2" missing on the other end along with 1 ¾” damaged area(see photo) Warp selvages are 2-spiral cords and weft selvages are natural weft loop finished around the outside warp. Beautiful old antique sampler worked in silks on linen cloth Dated May 1842 it was worked by Elizabeth Bennion Aged 11 It has the rather sombre motto Time is fast winging us a way To our eternal home This life is but a winters day A journey to the tomb Sampler measures 17 x 17 inches The sampler is in good condition with no holes or tears. The colours are good but the background linen has darkened over the years The sampler has been removed from its frame and it retains its nail holes on the very outer edge

1782 Framed Antique Sampler. Tatty Repaired Restored Loved Decorative Folk Art
Well where to start. A biscuity brown hemp ground. Which has been worked in wool thread The original thread is a faded red and green The background has been joined and EXTENSIVELY darned and repaired- patchy and quite large hatching. These repairs are truly not the work of a professional but probably a member of the family who inherited this handwork In a light silk. They are not invisible The alphabet. Worked twice in capitals at the top of the panel, correct for the period, missing the J(and the U? has sections inked IN This practice of inking in is continued most noticeably across the number section- some of the numbers are in stitched in blue but most have been painted in as have the red numerals The sampler then opens out into larger letters. Several different crown motifs, a deer, and the signature has been so darned that I am not able ... moreto decipher all the letters.Elizabeth.the date is still quite clearly visible on bottom LH corner- 1783 This is not a museum exhibit but clearly someone cherished it. Maybe as an heirloom, maybe just as a decorative wall hanging They lovingly repaired it. Spent hours on it, inked bits in, even removed some remnants of thread surely and had it framed behind glass The sampler must have been there. Framed, for at least 100 years I might dare suggest that it has become a more resonant example of folk art than when first created because of the wear. This is a very sweet and charming cross stitch sampler. Showing flowers, borders and a bird, stitched with wool threa d and partly with shiny thread. Which is probably silk. The sampler is German and dates from the late 19th century. It measures approximately 20 1/4 x 1 3 1/4 inches or 52.5 x 33.5 cm. The needlework is i n good condition. Considering the age of the sampler. There is some minor loss o f stitches. The fabric is a bit frayed along the edge. It has a light spot on it and there is so me run of color. Which I try to show in the pictures the best I can. The color run might be a bit darker in real life tha n in the pictures. Still. Small American Needlework Marking Sampler by Betsy Colton Chester MA c 1810
A small. Early American Needlework Marking Sampler signed Betsy Colton. A note on the back of the sampler suggests that this would be the Betsy Colton born in Chester, Massachusetts, in 1800. I have found a Betsy Colton, born in Chester in 1800, daughter of Chauncy and Sybil Colton, in the Hamden County(MA) Birth Record archive. The sampler is stitched very neatly in browns and greens and the colors have held up well. It measures 6 ¾" x 6 ½" and is framed in a nice Empire frame(probably not original) Which measures 9 5/8" x 9 ¼" Condition is very fine with no rips, tears, holes, stains, etc. No missing or pulled stitches. The"K, L, M" in the capital letter alphabet have faded somewhat, but the stitches are there, and there is virtually no other fading on the piece.
