Mounted to conservator standards on acid free card with chipboard backing. The sampler is worked in wool on linen ground, in a variety of stitches. Probably Scottish judging by the band of thistles; the extensive use of green and red colors; and the use of inexpensive materials- wool thread and coarse ground. Alphabets A-Z in upper case. Alphabet lacking J and U was normal until late 18thC but is preceded by more than the single criss-cross A, usual on English samplers of this age. Hi. You are bidding on a vintage Roland MKS-100 Digital Sampler. I am the original owner of this unit and bought it in the 80's. The unit has a new belt a loads QD's. Everything works, with one exception, the backlight on the LCD display is out. The auction comes with the original manual. Power cord and you will notice 36 Quick Disks. The disks have sounds, but not every QD loads properly. You can actually reformat the QD's so you can store your sample recordings. You will notice, I loaded one of the Disks, Acoustic Piano" as to verify the unit works and loads properly.

This MPC comes from a smoke-free home studio. This is running Version 3.08 and has maximum Stereo sampling time of 94.2 seconds and 188.4 Mono. This is missing the top of the Slider and the Stop button feels loose. But works. I guess you could connect a Foot Switch if you'd like and set it to Start/Stop. The shaft of the slider is still there and moves fine. All the other buttons and knobs work fine. The screen is healthy and bright, no dead pixels, Display/Contrast button pushes fine and all Pads function as they should. Included along with the power cords is a SCSI Zip 100 drive, SCSI cable, 6 blank Zip 100 disks in a caddy and 6 Floppy disks, all formatted. I discovered the entire design is hand painted– the scene appears to be a woman in the garden. As shown in one of the photos this is from the School of Art Needlework in Baltimore, MD and was likely done by one of the students– the painting was done on silk. This measures 10” x 13 ⅝” and, although not shown, does have a glass front. The Photos also show there are some water stains as well as a tear in the silk which is difficult to see when flat or under the glass. I have not seen many like this. I am offering this fantastic antique 19th C American handmade needlework sampler. Signed and dated by the schoolgirl that made it. It is done on linen and measures 17" X 17" It is unframed. It was found in a local estate in a drawer with other linens and fabric items. The condition of this sampler is very good. There is normal aging to the linen but it is undamaged with no holes or tears. The fabric is stable. Not dry or weak to the touch. I have pictured the sampler front and back. The sampler is beautifully executed with an elaborate floral border and a sentimental young girl's verse in the center. Early 19th century linen and silk work sampler by Elizabeth Jennings dated February 10th 1827. Aged 12. This sampler is wonderful, finely stitched in just one colour. The top of the sampler is decorated with examples of alphabet lettering, numbers border patterns and various motifs. The central section has the following popular sampler verse Jesus permit thy gracious name to stand as the first efforts of an infants hand. And while her fingers oer this canvas move engage her tender heart to seek thy love. With thy dear children let her share a part and write thy name thyself upon her heart Beneath the verse is a central motif of a crown with Elizabeth's intials on the top and the date of 1827 beneath. On either side are two lovely symmetrical motifs. Beneath these are Elizabeth's details. Three 19th century needlework sampler fragments- a perfect way to see how stitchwork was done all those years ago! The first sampler is wool on linen showing a sweet little pink house with trees on either side. Beneath the house are the words"HOME SWEET HOME" The first"home" is missing due to a repair) The house is surrounded by various motifs- trees. Birds, animals and crowns. I would say this dates to the late 19th century c.1860. The linen has overall discolouration consistent with its age, slightly darker along the top. The colours of the wool are good. Measures 13" x 8" The second piece is linen on silk with the following verse to Peace and Hope- Give me a calm and thankful heart from every murmur free. The blessing of thy grace impart and let me live to thee" Beneath the verse(on its side) is a crucifix ... morewith a crown beneath. I would say this sampler dates to mid 19th century c.1840 or earlier. The linen has overall discolouration consistent with its age and the colours of the silks are good. with the odd stitch missing here and there. Measures 14.5" x 6.5" The third piece is silk on linen edged with cotton This shows examples of elaborate alphabet lettering(which may be American due to their style) a wonderful small strip of border pattern and two floral motifs. The stitchwork on this is very fine- beautifully done. I would say this sampler dates to around 1840-50. A wonderfully colourful. Early 19th century English sampler worked by Elizabeth Ann Harmston, dated 1889. Professionally mounted and framed to conservator standards in vintage frame. Framer information on back: SPANISH BAY GALLERIES. CUSTOM PICTURE FRAMING, PACIFIC GROVE, CALIFORNIA. Richly worked in numerous colours with alphabet and numeral lines worked in decorative stitching. Museum Quality All Original Sampler Dated 1808 Original Empire Frame and Glass
This auction is for a wonderful sampler dated 1808. This sampler is in its original Empire period frame and has the original glass. I trust that the pictures will depict the wonderful condition and the beauty of this piece. Please feel free to ask for additional pictures or for any additional information. The old original glass in the frame has the imperfections and"bubbles" common to glass rolled around the turn of the 18th century. The sampler is signed"Eliza Kinkeads" The poem referencing the four seasons of the year is poignant and precious in its depth of feeling. Especially so since it is being stitched by a very young girl. The sampler has no rips. Holes, tears or damage of any kind other than the normal discoloration of linen over a period of over two hundred years. SELLING ONLY WITHIN THE UNITED STATES. NO INTERNATIONAL DATED 1832 LINEN AND SILK THREAD ALPHABET SAMPLER BY DAMARIS SEARS UNFRAMED This sampler is 16 inches long by 7 inches wide. It has the alphabet in large letters in the top two rows. With the Y and Z continuing onto the next two rows where the alphabet is again done in smaller letters. There are two letters in smaller size at the ends of the two upper rows, a D and a M. On the fourth row in smaller size after the Z is what looks like the name Damaris Sears. The second and third row are divided by an embroidered blue line which is repeated again after the fourth row of letters. There is a D and S in large size at the bottom corners of the sampler. There are birds, flowers and trees plus other designs. The entire sampler is bordered in a blue wavy stitch with what are probably a type of ... moreflower head done in beige and brown intertwined. The date 1832 is set in a heart above two blue birds. There is some staining in various places. Some loose threads around the edge and more on the corners, no holes or tears. Ensoniq Mirage Vintage Sampler Keyboard Analog Filters
Vintage Ensoniq Mirage sampler keyboard in nice condition. Looks and works great. Just has a few marks here and there and a small chip on the middle E key. But still looks nice overall. Comes with an 8 disk sample library with instruments to start playing right away. Great way to get that 8 bit sound on this 61 key sampler. Also a huge plus. Comes with analog filters for sweet sound shaping. Can get close to that ringing SP 1200 sound with this and a nice complement to any clean software synth for a low price. The Mirage was an 8-bit featuring a 61 key velocity-sensitive keyboard. A two-digit LED display, extensive implementation. Analog filters, a 333-note. It had 128kB of RAM and a maximum sample rate of 32 kHz and up to 6.5 seconds sample-time at 10 kHz. It included a built-in 3.5 inch SS/DD floppy drive. Which was used to boot the operating ... moresystem as well as store samples and sequences. Each disk had a copy of the and could be used as a boot disk. Obviating the need for a separate boot disk. Each disk stored six samples and up to eight sequences. The keyboard was'pre-configured' into two halves. Each functioning as two independent instruments, though the split point could be moved. This made it easy to have one sound for the right hand(an'upper' sound) and another for the left(a'lower' sound) However, the standard OS could not move samples between keyboard halves. Thus the diskette could save three'upper' sounds and three'lower' sounds. LATE 18TH EARLY 19TH CENTURY LINEN & SILK RELIGIOUS SAMPLER C 1810
Late 18th/early 19th century linen and silk work religious sampler. Though undated. The type of linen used and the style of stitching(also with the letter"J" missing) would indicate this sampler dates to around the latter part of the 18th century or the early part of the 19th century somewhere between 1780 and 1810. This little sampler is absolutely charming. The top part of the linen has a row of red alphabet letters and beneath this is a central motif of an altar monstrance with candlesticks on either side. On each side of these are three birds and shield motifs with the intials CHM and PM inside and crowns on top. Below these are two wonderful floral motifs and the bottom section has a central floral motif with crucifixes on each side and the letters IHS which are the Greek representation of Christ. Two chairs and a hutch. It's all a wonderful folk art style with green paint. We think the paint is original and don't see any signs of other colors. It appears to be made from pine as you can see on the back of the hutch. The hutch is a step back cupboard and has two doors up above, two little drawers down below, and two doors below that. The upper doors have glass and one side's glass is missing. The stepback has neat old hardware that was painted over. The table is a simple cross base table with two little chairs. The entire set is old but we don't know how old. You make the call on whether you'd call this Antique, ... morePrimitive, or Vintage. We don't know but it looks antique to us. The top of the table has a crack in it and some residue from tape or something. The entire set has nicks, dings, chips and scrapes. There are also some worm holes on and under the pieces. Antique Sampler– Dated 1672 Dimensions: 20cm x 49cm Dimensions of Frame: 34 x 66cm- the frame is faux burr style Sewn in two colours– green and orange. With horizontal panels of flowers. Figures, text and lace work to base. The animals include deers, frogs, rabbits, snakes, birds and humans. The bottom section also has lace work. It was sewn by someone called Ioanna Walton and dated 1672 I think it may be quite rare. I have never seen anything like this, selling as down-sizing my life! Antique Embroidered Stitched Sampler with Green Trim and Brown Canvas This was found in my great great aunt's trunk. She was born in 1873. Am guessing that she did this perhaps as a young woman(maybe in the late 1800's early 1900's but do not know for sure. It may have been done by her mother as she had many things in the trunk from her parents as well. Appears to be in good condition given its age with some discoloring at the ends of the threads on the trim. It is square and measures approximately 12.5X12.5 inches. Arion DDS-1 Digital Delay/Sampler vintage Japanese guitar effects pedal
This is an Arion Digital Delay/Sampler model DDS-1 guitar effects pedal. These were made in Japan in the 1980's. Included is the pedal. Box, all paperwork and original purchase receipt. It appears that one of the wires on the battery connector become disconnected at some point and someone repaired it. As you can see the box is in appropriate condition do to its age. I have plugged the pedal in with my Stratocaster and it works fine. And it sounds AWESOME! A great pedal to use, and also a desired collectors piece.

ANTIQUE GEORGIAN SCHOOL SAMPLER - CAROLINE PHILLIPS - CROFT HEREFORDSHIRE - 1826
A small Georgian redwork school sampler sampler. Embroidered on linen with red linen thread. It was embroidered by Caroline Phillips aged 10 in 1926, at Croft School, using an unusual form of"s" see photo) It is in good condition with a little fading and a tiny hole, barely noticeable and it measures 8 by 7 inches(20 by 19 cm. I have found a Caroline Phillips in birth records, born in 1816 in a village near Croft, Herefordshire and would think it certain that this is her work. The photos can be enlarged for more detail. This beautiful Victorian sampler has been competently hand stitched in wool ~ this would be wonderful in a period interior ~ please see photographs to appreciate how lovely this is.
