Click Here to Follow Us on Twitter Click Here to Become a Fan of Us on Facebook(Be sure to scroll down past the photos for the full description of this auction) Up for auction is a Rare c1750 English Redware Teapot. The Teapot is a very interesting and finely made example with a great Chinese Yixing ware design. The Teapot has a nice period cylindrical silver form. Along with being very finely carved throughout with interesting symmetrical designs. The Teapot also has a nice feathered carved thumb rest handle. The Teapot is also a rarely seen signed period example with mock Chinese markings. It would be well worth looking into the maker, I know some of these period teapots can go for some substantial amounts at the higher end sales. The Teapots spout has a small old repair which could be redone if one desired. But overall for its early age the teapot is in fine original condition with no other chips, cracks, or repairs. The Teapot displays beautifully measuring 6 ¾ inches long, by 3 7/8 inches wide, and sits 4 inches tall. I believe you rarely see examples of this age come up for auction, mostly with No Reserves! Japan Redware Black Cat Assortment of 3 Ashtrays Shafford
Japan Black Cat Ashtrays Redware/Black Glaze. Cold Paint Lot of 3 Some Paint Loss This listing is for three ashtrays in the Japan black cat redware line. Mostly attributable to Shafford, but I've also seen Napcoware with similar colors. These ashtrays have no chips or cracks, they do have some paint loss. 1. This is actually a holder with 2 ashtrays. It also has a toothpick holder on the side of the cat. I believe there was a third ashtray at some point, as the section where you would stack the ashtrays seems to have room for a third. This is embossed Made in Japan on the bottom. There are traces of red paint on the ashtrays, and a red bow on the cat. 2. This is a flat ashtray with the ears being where you would place a cigarette. The eyes on this are still green. The bow is quite good, the white details are pretty much worn away. This ... moremeasures about 4 1/2 inches in diameter. 3. The final round headed ashtray has the best paint. Some white details are lost, the red is still good, some green loss at the eyes. This measures about 3 1/2 inches in diameter, there is an indentation of the lower lip for a cigarette and the nostrils would act like a chimney for the smoke. Note this has the"N" on the bottom, embossed, for Nasco. Paypal allows me to ship your item quickly. And is the only method of payment I am able to offer. Noted for the green eyes, red bows, and white paint details. This unfortunately does not have a lid, but the paint is still quite good- the red bow and ears are good, as are the green eyes. There is some loss of the white paint whiskers and eyebrows. The piece measures 4 1/2 inches tall. And the opening for the lid measures 3 inches in diameter, there is a rim of about 1/4 inch around the opening. Perhaps you have a lid and this will complete it. Or you would like to upgrade the bottom you have! Either way, this is a nice addition! Paypal allows me to ship your item quickly. And is the only method of payment I am able to offer. It is in nice condition except it has a chip on the inside on one of the handles sticking up. The bottom looks like it has a chip but it is a paint flaw in the pottery. The bottom has a mark that I can't make out. It kind of looks a pine tree inside a triangle. The triangle looks like writing but I can't make it out.

Pair of Sarreguemines Redware Classical Man & Woman Figures Statues
We’re offering a Pair of Redware Pottery Figures depicting Male and Female Warriors. The figures in the photos we've attached appear lighter in color than they are. The actual color and appearance is similar to black basalt only with a brownish tint. The male figurine measures 13 1/4" and the female is 13" in height. They are both 4 1/2" in diameter at the base. All measurements are approximate) They both have the maker's mark"U& C' on the underside and the hand-incised number"906" U& C was a mark used by the company"Utzschneider et Compagnie" in the late 19th/ early 20th century. This company was located in Sarreguemines. France. We have included several photos so you can clearly see the minor imperfections and extraordinary detail in the facial features, hair, clothing, etc. These ... morestatues exhibit fine craftsmanship and artistry. We try to provide photographs and descriptions that are as comprehensive as possible. However. If you have further questions about this item please don't hesitate to contact us. CONDITION: Minor flakes in the paint on both. Chips on the bottom edge of the base of the female figure. Upon close inspection there appears to be some excess pottery material in some areas around the attached plinth-type base on the female statue which was done in manufacturing. This material was painted at the same time as the statue. It almost looks as if a small object scraped a thin line around the base before the pottery dried. There is a flat spot on top of the helmut worn by the woman and the helmut worn by the male is surmounted with a winged animal and a part of one of the wings is missing. This also must have been done in manufacturing as there is paint over that area and it does not appear to be touched-up. In our opinion these minor imperfections do not detract from the overall beauty of these fine figures. S HIPPING: Buyer pays actual shipping cost. We are"Green" Ebay sellers and reuse packing materials whenever possible. PAY
