1987 Manganese Glazed Redware Flowerpot and Saucer by Lester Breininger For your Breininger Redware Collection or Use Around Your Home Details Description: A very nice manganese glazed piece of redware by Lester Breininger. This a chalice shaped flowerpot with its original saucer. The flower pot and saucer are glazed in a brown background color with black splotches indicative of manganese glazing. The pot is shaped like a chalice and has a double ruffled pattern at the top rim. It has a hole in the base to drain the water. The inside is not glazed neither is the bottom. The saucer has the same double ruffled edge and coloring as the pot. It is not glazed on the bottom. Both pieces have the same signature and date indicating that they are an original pair. Hi. I have for sale an Antique/ Vintage Redware Mexico Tonalan, Jalisco Folk Art 2 handle Jug. It is hand painted and hand thrown. It is a nice piece for it's age. It has white flowers and circle designs. There is a chip on the bottom base(see pictures) and some pock marks due to the firing kiln process. There was a felt pad glued to the bottom which I removed looking for a mark. There is no mark or signature. Pictures are HD and should show everything about the jug or vase. Wonderful Redware Potting Planter from Turtle Creek Potters-Signed & Dated
This is a beautiful redware planting pot from Turtle Creek Potters. It is a great dark earthy green in color and measures 8 1/4" at the top. 7" tall and 6 1/2" in diameter at the bottom, to which a dish is attached and part of the pot to collect excess water. It is signed by Chris Woods and is dated 1999. The original price tag of $95.00 is still on the bottom of the pot. There are no cracks or breaks in the piece, only the usual chips to enhance its antique look. There is a hole in the bottom of the pot to allow for drainage. The top rim has a"pie crust" appearance. A great piece with a wonderful color! A beautiful addition to your garden, sun room or with your redware pieces.

Antique Clinton Missouri Redware Jar
Antique Clinton. Missouri Redware Jar Up for auction is a redware jar from Clinton. Henry County, Missouri. I purchased this jar from that area and I am therefore assuming that it was made in Clinton. That area has fine clay and there was once a large number of potteries in that region. I put the age of the piece as sometime between 1880 and 1910 and probably much closer to 1910. There is a great similarity between this jar and work by Michael Jegglin of Boonville, Missouri. Of course his son, E. A. Jegglin, operated a pottery in Calhoun. This piece of stoneware is 8" tall and 6" in diameter at its widest point. It weighs in at 4.2 pounds. The lid to this jar is NOT original to the jar and is from a much newer piece. The bottom of the jar is unique in that it has been glazed along with the inside of the jar. Money Wanted is a reproduction Redware Slip Trailed Trencher Dish done in the 18th c style when pottery conveyed messages in daily service made in 2012 by artist Betty Lou of Turtlecreek Potters in Morrow.Ohio. It has a coggle edge rim as shown in Picture 2. Unglazed rear with signature as shown in Picture 3, and a bold hand written slip(the word for liquid clay) in opening picture neatly scripted across the slightly scooped plate with upturned edges. It measures 12" by 8" overall and weighs a hefty 2 1/2 pounds. Those of you who collect reproduction Redware will recognize a desireable piece when you see it, and this is it! This is a very nice large size redware platter crafted and inscribed Lester Breininger. Robesonia, PA. The platter is eight sided. 14 inch by 10 3/4 inch. It is in excellent condition, no chips or cracks, little to no crazing. On the back side there is some dark skid marks. The platter is inscribed on the back: L Breininger. Redware, Slip Decorated Butter Dish
Nice little redware butter dish. This hand thrown. Covered bowl is 6" wide and 2" high. It is a little primative and the color of the lid is slightly different than the bottom. I think that the top and bottom may have been fired at a different time. The color is pumpkin and looks a lot like Jugtown. There are no post-glaze chips, etc. Slip decorated with yellow and green. This is a nice little utilitarian piece that would also look good in a redware collection.

For your consideration is an early and uncommon old midcentury modern 1950s EVANGELINE WARE Canadian redware pottery fish glug jug style vase with fantastic wide mouth for flower arranging and curved tail that conveniently forms a handle. As a display piece. It depicts a fantastic wide-mouth turqouise fish leaping out of the water. The glaze is a wonderful aqua and black drip that replicates and complements the scales of the fish beautifully. Very dramatic with the 3" by 4" open mouth, and incised eyes. Antique redware fish mold
Beautiful and extremely rare yelloware or redware mold in the shape of a fish. I am downsizing and need to get rid of my mold collection. This mold could be from Pennsylvania. Europe, Germany or France. It was used as a pudding mold or for baking. It is probably from the late 1800's or very early 1900's. One foot is broken off and one has been glued back. Made in Italy Rare HTF Heavy Glaze Redware Terra Cotta Pitcher Over and Back
This is an absolutely stunning piece. It was sold by Indoor Outfitters. Made in Italy by Over and Back. It is redware, with the reddish clay and the glaze is a beautiful green with hints of white and black. It is a very textured, thick glaze. The inside of the pitcher is clear glazed. I really wish I knew how to describe it better, it is such a unique color. Hopefully the pictures can describe it better than I can. I have not been able to find anything similar online to compare it to, all I know so far is that this company no longer produces redware and that this is a discontinued style, probably around at least 15 years old. The pitcher is about 7 1/4" tall, and the base is about 5 1/4" in diamter. This has a very substantial feel to it and is quite heavy. It is in excellent condition, with no chips or repairs.
