They are very clean with no rips. Tears or stains. There are a couple of areas where the stitching has thrown a thread or two. The back side of each strap has some brown stain. I have tried to show this in the pictures. These are the insulated-quilted bibs. The color is khaki. Vintage Quilt TOP 1930s Handmade DRESDEN PLATE Applique Novelty FEEDSACKS
This beautiful quilt top is in pristine condition and comes from the estate of collector who has cared for her textiles like treasures. If you have been looking for the perfect vintage Dresden Plate quilt top deserving of your finishing efforts.look no further. This one has two alternating themes in the blocks. Half the blocks have a tiny print floral theme and the other has floral and novelty prints. Two rare and adorable novelties can be found. One being an elephant print and the other cats(see first close up photo) The fine needle turned applique was done by a very skilled quilter and the piece work has been accomplished with precision with 6 straight and even stitches per inch( counted top side) Everything has been done by hand including the 6" inch floral border. The 20 plates are appliqued on fine quality slightly off-white muslin ... moreand measure 17.5" inches square with plenty of ground for fancy quilting. The overall size is a generous 81" X 98" inches. All fabrics look new and still have the original sizing with no signs of soiling. Just one small brown spot on ground that can be seen on the last two photos. Another small spot found on the backside behind a plate. CONDITION: This quilt top is in excellent condition. There are no rips. Tears or areas of wear to note. The colors are uniform. The condition of the fabrics is excellent. No signs of discoloration. Very unusual and beautiful hand stitched quilt depicts little black girls in pigtails wearing fringed shawls. There are a total of 30 little girls. The pigtails and shawl fringes are not part of the material. They have each been individually added. Note that each girl's shawl has a flower quilted into it. Shown here displayed on a queen size bed it measures 98 inches X 82 inches. It is very clean and contains no spots or stains. This quilt was purchased at the Central Pennsylvania estate sale of the lady who made it. The pigtails on the top half of the quilt are not sewn down like they are on the bottom half. Vtg Lot 31 Redwork Quilt Blocks from 1940s Red Embroidery Animal Simple Outline Description. These quaint quilt blocks were embroidered in the 1940's using only Turkey Red embroidery floss. Each block has a simple outline of an animal and was probably done to practice the art of embroidery. There are 31 blocks- some animals are duplicated. I've taken pictures of all the blocks. General size of each block is 9" x 9" The fabric is an off-white cotton or cotton blend muslin. Very good condition. Some discoloring on a few of the blocks. The embroidery is well done. On some of the blocks the outline of the animal shows through a tad if the embroidery didn't quite match the pattern. This would make up into a darling primitive-looking quilt. I do not know for sure the age of this quilt top or the material but I think soft polyester some of it feels like silk. and cottons.the backing is cotton.3 sides around the backing has a 2 inch blue rose flowered strip and looks like what would be the top of the back has a 2 inch blue striped strip.8 backing blocks have been pieced together to make a block.there are some wear spots to the fabric backing.there are 35 blocks to this quilt.over 200 of those little triangle edge pieces.a lot of work here.the quilt top has some places where it has pulled apart at seams(see last photo)hand sewn by hand with needle and thread.measures 65x90 inches.have not laundered. does not have a bad smell only slight odor from being stored all these years.I saw 1 tiny hole in the top.please ask any questions you may have.payment is due within 4 days of auction ... moreend.thanks for looking!

There are some stains that we did not try to remove(please see photos) There is an absolutely glorious assortment of all the favorite fabric patterns and colors of yesteryear’s good old days. The multi-colored central medallion(gorgeous! is pieced with so many different fabrics. Hundreds of little pieces, and it looks in great shape, stitchwise. However. ANTIQUE DRESDEN PLATE QUILT W /CONE BORDER, EXC CONDITION
This 1930's dresden plate quilt is just gorgeous and its in excellent condition. Looks unused and the fabrics are vibrant. Great old cotton prints, feedsacks and novelty prints. each plate has 20 petals, there are 16 blocks total, each 17" square. The plates are hand appliqued and then each plate is marvelously hand quilted in an echo pattern around the outside. 4 rows of hand quilting, one half inch apart, 8spi. Each petal is hand quilted down the two long sides and the yellow centers also have 4 rings of hand quilting. All hand appliqued on thick old fashioned muslin so the quilt has great texture. Sashed in royal blue and finished with a rectangle/cone border. Hand closed binding is in excellent condition,Backing is white cotton, batting is thin cotton. In fact this quilt is clean and free from any wear. The only thing i can say ... moreis that an area of the sashing doesn't line up perfectly and i have shown that in pictures 8,9&10, different views so you can judge if its bothersome. In the hanging picture its the bottom row. The quilt measures 82" x 84" Very pretty.
