This is a beautiful vintage Indiana milk glass compote. It is 9 inches tall and has a 5 1/2 inch diameter. I did not find any chips or cracks. There are a few dimples in the glass that I believe occurred during manufacturing. They are only noticeable on close inspection. They would not show up with it being on a shelf. PILLOW from 1920s BASKET PATTERN QUILT~BLUE & CREAM~VINTAGE BUTTERFLY PIN~
Think Spring! Offered is a cute pillow made from a 1920s a light Williamsburg blue and soft cream"Basket" pattern quilt. With random cotton seed debris still visible. This quilt was hand pieced with approximately 10 stitches per inch.even the basket handle.and hand quilted with about 4 to 5 stitches per inch. This pillow measures a nice 14 inches by 12 inches. For the pillow backing I've used a piece from the off white back of the same quilt. To give this pillow more structure and stability. I have interfaced both front and back pieces. This pillow is firmly plumped with new premium fiberfil and hand stitched closed. Please excuse my camera shadows on some of the pics! To add some interest. I've tacked a bow made from some sheer blue and ivory ribbon onto the handle, and topped that with a vintage white enameled butterfly ... morepin. The ribbon can be snipped off and the butterfly pin is easily be removed if they are not to your liking. This quilt has been carefully laundered before becoming a pillow and will come to you from a smoke free home. Although I try very hard to use only the best areas of my cutter textiles. There might be some slight surface wear, but I will always let you know of any major issues. ANTIQUE 1930 IRISH CHAIN QUILT TRUE POSTAGE STAMP PIECES, GREAT QUILT!
Colorful and lovely! This vinage 1930's Irish chain quil is made with hundreds of tiny 3/4" postage stamp sized squares. Lots of vintage feedsack, dress prints and solid cottons. Hand pieced in an Irish chain pattern, some of the edges of the chain have been machine reinforced. The quilt is in very good condition. I found one frayed square at an edge and 3 others with just the start of a tiny seam seperation. All four sides have an 8" border of postage stamp pieces so its in great condition with just those few need a tiny repair. The front of the quilt is a wonderful robins egg blue but along the one side it looks like the maker ran short(remember its post depression era) and a slightly darker steele blue is use, I have taken several pictures so you can see the color difference. The quilt has a thin cotton filling and a pale ... moreaqua backing. Its all hand quilted in 1" lines 8spi. Blue binding is hand closed, It measures 68" x 76" Wonderful old quilt!

STURDY cotton"twinkling star" quilt is hand pieced and hand quilted, with the name"Anda Mae Crowell" and date"1907" hand embroidered in the border(though some, if not MOST of the fabrics date back to the 19th century) It measures a generous 78" X 86" and is in MINT. UNWASHED condition, with the occasional small age spot(see photos) and no wear. There are straight line designs quilted throughout at an even 8 stitches to the inch. The back is a pleasing grey striped fabric. The hand stitched binding is late 19th century cinnamon pink, and the batting is thin. The WONDERFUL DESIGN. SUPERB CONDITION, and SMALL SCALE make this turn of the century MASTERPIECE stand out!

I have had several requests from many of my wonderful stocking buyers who are avid year round Christmas shoppers. For me to make and list my stockings year round so that they can get a head start! This stocking was made from a wonderful 1920s"Burgoyne Surrounded" pattern quilt. This sweet red and white quilt was both hand and treadle pieced. Then hand quilted. It has lovely diamond quilting with about 8 stitches per inch. Burgoyne Surrounded" is a very early quilt pattern dating to the early 1800s.also known as"Burgoyne's Surrender" The history is that when British General John Burgoyne tried to take Albany. New York, he was surrounded by the Americans and then surrendered at Saratoga on October 17, 1777. Around 1850 the pattern name was changed to"Wheel of Fortune" and when the settlers went West, it ... morebecame known as"The Road to California" This stocking measures approximately 19 inches long. 11 inches from heel to toe, and about 8 inches across the top opening. I've made the back of the stocking out of the same quilt so it can be hung with the toe pointing left or right. It is fully lined with no seams showing using vintage sheeting.the hanger is a grosgrain ribbon. To give the stocking more stability for all of those special treats, I've interfaced both the front and the back pieces. The lining has ample give from top to toe for those heavier little treats! Being a purist at heart. I love the traditional stocking shapes. The workmanship and original beauty of this quilt lets this stocking stand alone.no frills or embellishments are needed. Super great all year to hold magazines in your guest or that special room for you or your guests to enjoy, in your kitchen filled with vintage utensils, hostage gifts filled with treats.there are so many creative ways to display them! This Auctions is for A Early 1900's Handmade Patchwork Quilt. Wild Goose Chase Quilt" ~ Measures approx. 67 inches X 70 inches. Fabric used is red and white gingham and unbleached cotton muslin. Entire quilt was pieced together by hand with hand top stitching at 9-10 stitches per inch. There is one patch repair on side outer edge and one small repair on this quilt(shown at end of ruler) Appears to have had an outer binding attached at some point in time(binding was attached with treadle stitches) binding shows signed of wear. No other rips. Tears or stubborn stains. Light yellowing consistent with age. Fabric still nice and strong. Very pretty quilt for those who are partial to red and whites! Primitive Folk Art Sunflower Pillow From Vintage Handquilted Quilt Piece
It's hard to believe spring is here with all the snow we still have on the ground here in Minnesota. But spring weather will be here sooner than we think(I hope) Made with parts of a repurposed vintage handquilted cutter quilt piece, new printed fabrics, tiny new black buttons, old buttons and embroidery thread, this pillow celebrates a primitive summer. I never work from a pattern so no two of my pillows are ever exactly alike. This pillow measures about 8 inches by about 8 inches and would look great on a bench or grouped with larger pillows. The sunflower petals and centers were cut freehand out of new fabric prints. I then attached the finished flower parts by sewing the flower center onto the vintage quilt background with a primitive quilting stitch. The flower stems, leaves and blades of grass were handstitched with embroidery thread. ... moreTwelve teensy new black buttons were hand sewed on to accent the sunflower center on one of the flowers and on the larger flower center I sewed on 7 old buttons. You can see all the vintage handquilting across this pillow which gives it a great primitive look. The background quilt piece has a soft, distressed, aged look to it. The pillow is backed with a plain muslin fabric and closed across the back with a primitive cross stitch and lightly stuffed with polyfill. This item comes from my smoke free home. Done in the wedding ring pattern, and probably from the early 90's when they started reproducing the old time traditional pattern, and is made in colors of rose, green, blue, and light blue fans, on a solid white background. I acquired this at an estate sale, in Milwaukee, Wi. It is in beautiful condition, with no holes or stains. It is made out of a cotton blend,m so it has a little pilling, but nothing that cannot be removed. It is 90" by 96" It has the thin poly batting. Intact without tears, skillfully constructed, and with the condition issue of mild discoloration to approx. 30-40% of the darker purple patches(perhaps due to the dye) and one area of a couple darkish spots- see 2nd to last photo for the spots and a sample of typical purples discoloration. Overall item presents very nicely despite slight discolorations. T here is also a faint age odor that is not at all unpleasant- actually almost floral. And likely easily removable. For your consideration a lovely vintage quilt(don't know the age-not old old) Colors are beautiful! This is a thinner quilt. Not bulky. Lays very nicely. Is reversible and has the stripes on back side. Measures 66" x 63" and I did not stretch this so I would say a Full size quilt. I used in a bedroom for decor at the bottom of a bed. It just matched my colors and displayed nicely. I am trying to downsize and have sold many quilts so far and am still listing.
